Why does my IPhone loss WIFI connection when I leave the room? When other mobile devices stay connected?
I can not send text messages to other IPhones if I do not have wifi or 3G on, the texts are sent as emails.

Wi-Fi disconnects or signal strength is less than expected
Move closer to the Wi-Fi router (access point).

Subsequent backup should be a lot faster (incremental backup)

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with your iPhone4. I would be concerned too if my iPhone was unexpectedly powering off. I found an article with steps you can take when you encounter an issue like this. I recommend following the steps below:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.

Keynote issue: Why does my iPhone 5 not detect my iPad with Retina Display when both devices are up-to-date?

I have an iPhone 5. I am trying to pair it to my iPad with Retina Display. However, the devices do not detect each other when trying to pair over Keynote.
My apps and iOS are up-to-date. What is the problem? I have even tried wi-fi. I successfully paired the device to my iMac and it works.

This is for you and any other person that needs it. I didn't know how to use it properly.
Therefore, I guess it is operator error on my part.
You have to go into your Presentation tools and enable the remote from there.

Why does my iPhone 3gs keep getting kicked off of the internet?

When I start going onto the internet page the page comes on then as I amreading it it goes to black and back to the home page for the iphone.
Why does this happen?

Mine does that too. I was wondering if it was due to the OS and that sometimes its too much for the 3GS. I've had mine almost 3 years. Maybe someone more knowledgeable will help. :)

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download <a href="http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/"><b><u>iPhoto Library Manager</b></u></a> and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 08* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

Airport Express signal of Macs drops when you leave the room

My problem is as described in the title: whenever I'm in the livingroom (where the AE is), the signal is fine. A few minutes after walking out of the room and trying to get onto the network from a nearby (as in: a few feet away) room, the signal will drop and won't come back again.
I'm having this problem on a 2006 MacBook and a PowerBook G4, but not on my iPod Touch, of which I've tried both the 1G and 2G version. On the iTouch, the signal is just fine - even on the attic and on my balcony.
Besides, the AirTunes signal drops out quite a lot when playing songs.
I'm using the N-version of the AE, and it's functioning as an AirTunes station and a N-signal router with B- and G-signal support. The MacBook spins Snow Leopard, the Powerbook good ol' Leopard.

It is very possible that you may have some form of Wi-Fi interference in the immediate area that is preventing your 802.11n AirPort Express Base Station (AXn) from providing a good clean signal beyond the livingroom.
I suggest you perform a simple site survey. I normally would recommend using iStumbler, but since you are using Snow Leopard the current release of this utility won't work. Although, not free, another very good utility, that provide similar functionality, would be AirRadar. You would use AirRadar to determine if other Wi-Fis are operating in your area. In addition, you would want to look for those that are operating at the strongest signal levels and what radio channels those are operating on.
If you don't want to go the route of purchasing AirRadar, the other (free) option would be to run through each of the available radio channels until you find one where your Macs get the best signal. Also, since you do have the PowerBook running Leopard, I'd give iStumbler a try as well.

I have what I would consider a difficult question. I called Apple Care and after she spoke to a senior advisor,the representative ended up saying it wasn't possible.
Having said that, I'm sure this is not a difficult question for people with networking expertise.
Setup
So...I have a MacBook receiving a WiFi signal via AirPort.
In System Preferences, I have turned on Internet sharing (share airport over Ethernet).
I connected the Ethernet port on my MacBook to the Ethernet port on my MDD PowerMac G4.
At this point, I can successfully browse the web, perform software updates, and view other computers and iTunes libraries on my network from my G4.
Goal
However, in iTunes on my G4 I would like to use iTunes DJ.
Tried
So...I click on iTunes DJ.
I set the settings (button in bottom right) to allow guest remotes, etc.
I turned on iTunes Home Sharing (logged into the same account as by iPhone).
Problem
However, from the Remote app on my iPhone, I am unable to see the library on my G4.
Also, if I want to pair my iPhone Remote app with iTunes on my G4, I click add Library in the Remote app, but iTunes on the G4 never displays my iPhone in the left column (although I am able to see all other iTunes libraries being shared on the network).
Thus, I cannot connect to iTunes as a guest Remote, nor can I connect as paired remote.
I have successfully done both of these things with computers connected directly to my modem, as well as with computers connected via WiFi.
The problem is connecting devices to computers that get their internet connection though another computer via internet sharing.
Question
So my question is about Internet sharing itself. Is it not a fully featured ad-hoc network? Does it only provide browsing capabilities and the ability to browse networked computers, but NOT devices such as an iPhone? I don't see the difference; my iPhone is on the same network as the computers, so why is there no communication between it and computers that gain their Internet connection through another computer?
I really hope someone out there who is an expert in networking can help me out with this. Or if it truly is impossible, if someone could explain to me why that is the case, I would also appreciate it.
ps. I usually have my MacBook sharing its Internet connection through an old router that I am using as a switch because I share the connection with three other computers. And if it isn't obvious, the modem is downstairs, and the MacBook, old router being used as a switch, and other computers are upstairs where there is no Ethernet wired.

Why does my iPhone 4S WiFi keeps shutting off?

This is the SECOND black iPhone 4S with problems with WiFi once the IOS 8 updated is downloaded. So frustrating!
Just after the IOS 8 update was available, I updated my black iPhone 4S. Soon after, I experienced a hot battery, screen freezes, and the screen toggle button for WiFi was grayed out. I called Apple support and they tried to help me. Very pleasant! After about 30 minutes, we concluded to reset the phone back to the original factory settings. This fix did not work and the Apple tech told me about purchasing a new replacement phone. Mind you, the 4S was less than two years old. Not long after, I went into my cellular carrier and they agreed to provide me with a new Apple iPhone 4S. The new one worked just fine for several months. Now, that 4S has begun freezing up, and the WiFi screen toggle is again grayed. Again, so frustrating!
I am mentioning the BLACK 4S only because my wife has the white 4S and it has not experienced any issues, even with the IOS 8 updates.
I need help please! This cannot be a coincidence that two separate black 4S phones each have an issue with the WiFi toggle.

Why does my iPhone 6 say I'm using 12gb of storage when I'm using about 5?

I kept getting a notification that my storage was almost full so deleted a lot of photos and turned off photostream. This gave me a good 7gb of free space. I have since updated my software to iOS 8.1.3 and then started getting the same messages again. When I have looked at the storage usage it says I have no space available and am using 12.1GB. When I've added up how much I've gone into manage storage and added up each thing I have only used about 5GB.

I'm having the same exact problem as you. I've tried deleting a bunch of apps, pictures, music and NOTHING! It's bothering me mostly because I'm not getting some of my iMessages.

For the last week, my iPhone 4 gives me a message chime everyday at the same time, 10:41 PM. Yet, there are no notifications, messages, badge icons, or calendar dates. Nope, I've gone through the Clock, Reminders App and through my Notifications and I can't seem to find anything that has a notification for that time. I was wondering if it was something with my Cellular Network Carrier?

Why does my 3rd Gen iPod Touch still play through the speaker when I plug my headphones in?

When I plug my headphones into my iPod, it plays through them, but it also continues to play through the built in speaker. Does anyone know how this can be fixed? Thanks

- next, to rule out a software probem:
- Reset:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore the iPod from backup
- Restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod
If still problem you likely have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. It is liklely a problem with the headphone jack i the iPod. There are third-party places that will replace he jack.
