Why does my iphone not receive group messages if there is a non iphone user in the group?

I Have an iphone 4 with the latest update. Whenever anyone sends a group message to me when there is a non-iphone user in the group, my phone does not receive the message. I've tried restarting and it doesnt work. i have sms messaging turned on. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi,
Lately i didn't receive some messages only later to find them in my Mac's Messages application.
What i understand from this, is that if my iPhone suffers from temporary disconnectivity then the iMessage is still routed to the Mac,
but will never be pulled by the iphone .
If that is the case then when i am in an elevator or out of power , then the iMessage center
knows i have iMessage "on and active" and it will send it to my Mac and the iPhone will never be notified.
Correct?

The iMessage and Facetime servers are down for the day. People have been having issues since this morning. I called Apple myself and they told me to just wait until this evening and try again but warned that could not be fixed until tomorrow.
Wait until then and see what happens. You can always call Apple and get a direct update if you still have issues and think it should be fixed.

Why does this iPad not save sent messages and won't allow a message to be sent to trash?

Received a used iPad as a gift. In email, it won't save any sent messages, nor will it allow me to Trash a message. Sent email goes out, but no copy saved in any folder. When I try to delete a message, it temporarily disappears but comes back when I open mail again. Also get message that says "Unable to move message to Trash."

For the deleting emails, try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then tap the account on the right, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
A second option if that doesn't work then try closing the Mail app via the taskbar : double-click the home button to open the taskbar and then swipe or drag the Mail app's 'screen' up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
And a third thing to try is to go into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Then select the account on the right-hand side of that screen, select Account, then Advanced, Deleted Mailbox, and under On The Server tap the 'Trash' folder so that it gets a tick against it - then come out of that series of popups by tapping on the relevant buttons at the top of them and then see if you can delete emails.
For the sent emails check what folder they are being stored, in a similar way to the above third option for deleting emails.

Why does my iPhone4 not receive any announcements/rings/etc?

My iPhone4 was working perfectly last week then all of a sudden it began not ringing and all incoming text/emails sounds just stopped.
Last evening I did a reset (held down the sleep and Home buttons until the Apple icon appeared). This did not help.
This morning, it would not start up. So, I repeated the Reset but held the sleep/Home buttons down longer and it finally came to life. But still, no sound.
In Settings, all of the sounds are audible for phone ringer, incoming text, incoming email and so on. But none of these work during the actuall event.
I have cleaned the head-set jack and this does not work. However, I can hear music using the head-set just fine.
The only notice that I have an incoming call is vibrate.
For the sake of clarity -
In Settings:
Airplane Mode - OFF
Wi-Fi - OFF
Settings/ Sounds
Silent/Vibrate - ON
Ringer and Alerts
Volume is maxxed out on slider
Change with Buttons - OFF (I have found that the side buttons work regardless of this setting)
Vibrate (below Ringer and Alerts) - ON
Ringtone - All sounds work when tested
Text Tone - All sounds work when tested
New Voicemail - Ditto
Lock Sounds - ON
Keyboard Clicks - ON
Battery charge - 100%
I think I have tried just about everything there is to try, but I may have missed something.
Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Why does "Download this video" keep popping up when there isn't even a video on the page?

I just closed 3 tabs in a row and "Download this video" was on the screen even on the fourth tab until I moved the pointer down onto the page to close it manually, it went out before I got there. Sometimes I have to chase it until I can hit the "x", then it stays off for a while.

Sounds that you have an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

On an iPhone your iMessages will go to your phone number.
You can select another email to use on iPod or iPad.
Go to settings
Messages
Send and receive
Check your phone number and uncheck the common Apple ID you share so your messages will not go to other devices.

If you have an iPhone/iPad it may be possibel to 'Airplay' from teh Amazon Prime app on the device - no Amazon Prime in UK so I can't confirm it works. Check reviews of the app in iTunes. Airplay is not something I like much as you have to have another device to work with the AppleTV.
As to why there is no native support for Amazon Prime on the AppleTV itself, we could ask the same for any number of services, but:
1 - Apple/Amazon are competitors to some extent so they may not want to
2 - It may simply not feature in Apple's plans for the device
3 - Rights owners may not allow Apple/Aamzon to collaborate
.....and dozens more possible reasons I suspect, none of which really make sense to you an I as a consumer...

This has been happening since IOS7 was installed and has become worse with 7.1. I have reset the phone several times with no change.The phone charges properly & I have never used anything but an Apple Lightning cable.

I already cleaned the port with compressed air before submitting the problem. I since cleaned it with a toothpick and dug out some more lint. this seems to have just about fixed the problem since I have only had the error pop up 3 times since then and i was getting the error constantly before.

I am not receiving text messages from iphone user, sporatically. The messages are showing as reveived on Verizon website in usage detail, but not being received on my phone.

This issue needs fixed asap! I have a few suggestions that should help you get this resolved. If they are showing up in the usage details, that means they are hitting the Verizon network, but for some reason they are not showing up on the phone. I recommend clearing the cache from your messaging/text messaging programs. Go to settings> applications> manage apps> all> Messaging/Text Messaging> Force Stop/Clear Cache/Clear Data. Erase the old text threads that you have saved and retry.
If that doesn't work, please let us know the following:
1) Do they come in delayed or not at all?
2) Do you have any 3rd party messaging apps installed?
3) Do they have any problems receiving messages from you?
4) When they're sending messages, are they directly to you, or do you have this problem when the iPhone user sends to a group of people?
