Why does my iPhone plays louder music in one side of the earphone than the other?
Hello Apple Community,
So I own this iPhone 4S which is about half a year old, and from this Monday onwards I kept feeling that my iPhone plays music louder in one side of the earphone than the other. I don't think it's my earphones because I just got them two weeks ago, and I always took good care of it. What can I do to solve this frustrating problem?

P.S. My earphones are the Klipsch x10. Costs about 300 bucks.
The only setting on an iPhone that controls balance is here: Settings>General>Accessibility>Hearing.

It doesn't really matter whether I am talking to Apple or not (and I'm sure they monitor these comments), I want everyone to know how bad this new iphone 4s is, and all of it's problems.
Apple have already launched an upgrade to the software - it obviously did not help, as many around the world would concur.
As far as being patient and waiting for another "update in the works" is concerned, it is just not satisfactory. This is not a cheap phone, and those who are experiencing these problems, should not have to be paying a substantial amount of money, for a very smart phone, that obviously, has some serious problems. -

When I am listening to music from my iPad and I switch to my iPhone listening to the same songs with the same headphones it is noticeably quieter when coming from my iPhone, I have the iPad 3 and the iPhone 5. Please someone help
I can't really say why it's doing that, other than to say perhaps you should have a hardware check at the Apple Store. However, you just might be able to do something by resetting your iPad to it's factory default setup. Be sure to do your backups.

why does my computer play strange music at random times and how can I stop it? The music isn't anything on my machine and the only way I can switch it off is to reboot. Can anyone advise me please. It's driving me nuts ... I don't even like the music it's playing!
What apps are open and are you really still only on 10.5.1??????? At the very least please update your profile, also please remember to post more information. I suspect it's something going on with just your user account. You can verify that by creating another user account (call it TEST ACCOUNT) and log into that account and test. Once this has been verified then you will need to check which apps are running to determine what is causing your issue.

Why does my iphone 3gs screen go white after it goes "to sleep" for the first time after turning it on?
The screen isn't broken because it works after i turn the device off and back on, but after it goes black once, it's only white again.
But it takes the touches although it's only white, because I can answer my phone when I slide my finger on the bottom of the screen, eventhough there in not the button to see.
This is so weird. I have already done everything I can think of that might help. But I cannot think of anything that might be causing it, because nothing has happened to the device.Let me know if I should start a new discussion instead of opening a new topic here.
My wife's iPhone is the same vintage as mine 3Gs, but has never had the battery problem. Its affliction instead is that it cannot detect WiFi networks unless it is quite close to the source. Often, when my iPhone not only detects but shows a maximum cells connection with a network, hers cannot detect the network at all. In contrast, her iPhone seems to detect ourcellular carrier just as well as mine does.
Is there any help for this affliction? -

Blackberries were designed at a time when cellular data was very expensive. They don't do nearly as much as an iPhone, in part, to conserve data use. All modern smartphones will use more data than a Blackberry unless you do almost nothing.
You do not need to quite apps. Almost no apps run in the background.

Why does my Iphone 4s connect to my wi-fi with a password and latter in the day fail to connect until I reboot the router? Is there a setting on my router that would avoid this issue. All my other devices connect alright
OK so it now looks like on my iPhone 5 iwth iOS 6.1 the LTE network is conflicting with my home wifi (Airport Extreme). At the Apple store the LTE signal is lost in and wifi works like a charm. At home tired all of the "fixes"
-No security
-WEP
-Reset network,
-Complete reset and reload on the phone
-ETC ETC ETC
Just turned off the cell radio and it worked. Turned on the cell radio but kept LTE off and it worked.
Apple let's get a fix so we can use your "great" phone. I have just received a BB Z10 from work and it seems to work flawlessly. -
Why does my headphones only work out of one side on my iphone?
When I put my headphones into any device i have, both sides of the headphones work, except when using my iphone. When I play music in my ipad and computer with the same headphones they work perfectly fine. Then when I put them into my iphone only the right side works. I just don't understand why the one side works but the other one doesn't. I know it isnt my headphones, because they work perfectly fine in any other device. Someone please help me.
I have the same problem, except, weirdly, I have it with respect to my iMac, my iPhone and my iPad all at the same time. It is afflicting multiple outputs (both speakers and earphones) so I know it's some kind of problem with the devices. I can't believe all the jacks are broken, but I also can't find any way to modify the balance settings on the mobile devices.

Why does my iPhone remove all music when I switch on itunes match?
How I usually put music on my phone is to switch on itunes match and download from the cloud the music from my library, then when finished
I switch off itunes match and I am left with the music I wanted. However, if i then put itunes match back on it will wipe all songs, leaving me having to download ~700 songs all over again for the sake of an album or two.
Am I doing this completely wrong? Or is this a common problem?Instead of switching off iTunes match, switch off the show all music tab just below it.
It will hide all the non downloaded iTunes match songs. -
Why does my iPhone 5 delete music when I press shuffle?
I am using ios 7.0.2. and have found a new problem that's been driving me crazy!
When I press the shuffle button, my phone deletes music, between 2 and 10 tracks per time. Any ideas why this is happening and ideas to resolve it?Yes, that's the way it works. Once it's plugged in, you can turn it off. There's no harm in leaving it on, however.

According to Sony my apple devices are compatible - and they used to work.... Since IOS 5 Upgrades they no longer play music through the docking systems speakers. They charge, but they refuse to play. Why? What have you done Apple to mess these expensive devices up? My eldest son's Iphone 4 works ok.

Why? Why? Why? Why??My iphone 4s & Ipad are also having the same issue for my phone I did find this solution that seemed to work - only for my phone though:
go to: settings>general>accessibility turn on "assistive touch"
tap on the the new icon that appears on the screen (top left side -the black square w/a white circle inside)
go to "device"
I found my device was muted so I tapped it to unmute - I have had to do this a few times, but it does seem to resolve the immediate issue. Try it - but apple needs to come up with a solution SOON -

Sounds like hardware failure, called boot loop. Call Apple and or go on apple.com and make Genius Bar appointment to have your iphone reviewed by a Tech. Provided you iphone shows no physical or liquid damage they will take care of you, or if you have Apple Care Plus

When i go on my phone it says i have 3 new messages but when i click on it i really dont. I turned off and turned my phone on 3 times and it still says i have 3 new messages how do i stop that. Without actually turning on the bager icon thing that pops up on the app.

It sounds like your notification for messages is showing that you have a few mesages but when you go into the app, there are no new messages. I would start by signing out of your Apple ID in Settings > Messages. Then close the running apps on the phone:

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the phone, sign back in, and try again:
