why does my ipod doesnt diplay the music screen shows blank only?

What do you mean by blank?  The screen is all white? What have you tried so far in terms of troubleshooting?

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Why does my ipod have on the screen the itunes symbol and the cord and an arrow pointing to the itunes symbol?  I can't get it to do anything.

Why does my ipod have on its screen the itunes symbol and the cord with an arrow pointing to the itunes symbol.  I can't do anything with my ipod now!

Plug it into iTunes. If that does not work hold the power and home button untill the screen turns off then let go of the power button but KEEP holding the home button... this should bypass the connect to iTunes screen. Hope it helps.

  • Why does my ipod stop in the middle of a song?

My brand new 5th gen ipod will stop playing. It does not matter if the hold button is on or not. This happens anywhere from all the time to after as many as 5 or ten songs. The display is still working properly. I have performed all of the five R's with no improvement. My software is updated to the latest version. Is this a crap unit or what?

Did you get the music from somewhere besdies ITMS? If so, thats why.
That's nonsense! You're saying his iPod locks up because he might be using songs that he didn't purchase from the iTunes Store?
The iPod is not limited to playing only music that you buy from the iTS.
You can get music from any number of sources... such as importing your own CD collection.
There's also other online music retailers that you can purchase tracks from... and other websites that offer royalty free music downloads in MP3 format.

  • Why does not my iPhone have the music auto download option?

Im want that my music purchases and ringtones get automaticly downloaded to my other devices. I seen online that i should go to Settings/store and activate music, the thing is i dont got that option on any of my mobile devices. Why is that and what can i do to get this up and runnig?

Automatic Downloads for music and downloading past music purchases is currently only available in Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, United States, and Venezuela. iOS 5 or later is required for iPhone 4 (CDMA Model).

  • Why does my ipod suddenly turn the volume down?

im working out and my ipod nano turns the volume down by itself - i turn it up and it turns it down???

I had the same thing happen.  Just got off the phone with tech support and I am having to get my second refurbished ipod nano.  I had to pay 65.00 for the first one and now it is doing the same thing!  Since this one was within the 90 days I don't have to pay another 65.00 but if the next one does it again and it's past the 90 days I have to pay again!  The thing is is that my first nano was probably given to some poor chump who's had the same problem and now they have paid their 65 dollars for mine which wasn't fixed.  They told me that they do not do repairs on something this small, so I have to pay for a used one!  It's crazy!  You know if Apple wants to be the best then make your stuff right the first time...and if you don't then don't make me pay to get one that is used and had the same problem!  Buyer Beware!!

  • Why does my Mac stay on the white screen when I turn it on?

Why does my Mac stay on white screen when I turn it on?

Take each of these steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved.
    Step 1
The first step in dealing with a boot failure is to secure your data. If you want to preserve the contents of the startup drive, and you don't already have at least one current backup, you must try to back up now, before you do anything else. It may or may not be possible. If you don't care about the data that has changed since your last backup, you can skip this step.
There are several ways to back up a Mac that is unable to boot. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
         a. Boot into the Recovery partition, or from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup.) When the OS X Utilities screen appears, launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in this support article, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.”
    b. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, boot the non-working Mac in target disk mode. Use the working Mac to copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
    c. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data.
    Step 2
Sometimes a boot failure can be resolved by resetting the NVRAM.
    Step 3
If there's a built-in optical drive, a disc may be stuck in it. Follow these instructions to eject it.
    Step 4
Press and hold the power button until the power shuts off. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed to boot, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Use a different keyboard and/or mouse, if those devices are wired. If you can boot now, one of the devices you disconnected, or a combination of them, is causing the problem. Finding out which one is a process of elimination.
If you've booted from an external storage device, make sure that your internal boot volume is selected in the Startup Disk pane of System Preferences.
    Step 5
Boot in safe mode. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Post for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
When you boot in safe mode, it's normal to see a dark gray progress bar on a light gray background. If the progress bar gets stuck for more than a few minutes, or if the system shuts down automatically while the progress bar is displayed, your boot volume is corrupt and the drive is probably malfunctioning. In that case, go to Step 6.
If you can boot and log in now, empty the Trash, and then open the Finder Info window on your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) Check that you have at least 9 GB of available space, as shown in the window. If you don't, copy as many files as necessary to another volume (not another folder on the same volume) and delete the originals. Deletion isn't complete until you empty the Trash again. Do this until the available space is more than 9 GB. Then reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)
If the boot process hangs again, the problem is likely caused by a third-party system modification that you installed. Post for further instructions.
    Step 6
Launch Disk Utility in Recovery mode (see Step 1.) Select your startup volume, then run Repair Disk. If any problems are found, repeat until clear. If Disk Utility reports that the volume can't be repaired, the drive has malfunctioned and should be replaced. You might choose to tolerate one such malfunction in the life of the drive. In that case, erase the volume and restore from a backup. If the same thing ever happens again, replace the drive immediately.
This is one of the rare situations in which you should also run Repair Permissions, ignoring the false warnings it may produce. Look for the line "Permissions repair complete" at the end of the output. Then reboot as usual.
    Step 7
Reinstall the OS. If your Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade.
    Step 8
Repeat Step 6, but this time erase the boot volume in Disk Utility before installing. The system should automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant. Follow the prompts to transfer your data from a Time Machine or other backup.
    Step 9
This step applies only to older Macs (not current models) that have a logic-board ("PRAM") battery. Both desktop and portable Macs used to have such a battery. The logic-board battery, if there is one, is separate from the main battery of a portable. A dead logic-board battery can cause a boot failure. Typically the failure will be preceded by loss of the settings for the startup disk and system clock. See the user manual for replacement instructions. You may have to take the machine to a service provider to have the battery replaced.
    Step 10
If you get this far, you're probably dealing with a hardware fault. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.

  • Why does my iPod say I have 352 photos where I only have 24

Ok so I just relaxed my iPod touch because my last one broke. Everything has been covered with iCloud, so I have everything I had before...accept for most of my photos. I had about 325 photos and ipthey are in photo stream (my iPad and iPod share the same photos) and I only received 24 pf them. The thing that ****** me off is that with the 24 photos I have it still says I have the photos I had before and it's making a lot of space on my iPod. All in all how can I get the old photos back?

I managed to get rid of the phantom usage. Restoring iPhone and resetting the phone settings/data do not work for me.
I had to move the Date on my phone earlier by 1,2,3 months and found the phantom photos in the Recently Deleted Folder. Next, I deleted the photos manually from the Recently Deleted Folder and the usage got freed up from my iPhone.
    Hope this works for you

  • Why does my printer work but the paper comes out blank. ink cartridges are full.

My printer sounds like it is printing but the paper comes out blank.  The ink cartridges are full.

What printer model - there are about a dozen HP Photosmart Premium models including the c309a, b, c, g, h and n and the c410a,b,c,d and e.
There are a few things to check - I would suggest running up to three cycles of print head cleaning from the front panel or toolbox.   Do copies also come out blank?  Try the steps in this page, starting at about Solution 6.  Does any ink at all print on the test page?
For some models there are firmware updates available that are only delivered through the web connection.  Make sure the printer has been connected and perform any updates that are available for the firmware.
