Why does my iTunes freeze after periods of time
So i have a MAC Mini with an external hard drive. For some reason after about 15 mins. the itunes will freeze up and i have to remove the external hardrive and plug it back in and then everything works fine. But this is a pain in the butt, because i recently got apple tv and i like streaming stuff off my itunes to my tv. But i have to keep getting up and unplugging the external hard drive and pluggin it back in so my itunes will work properly on the mac mini. This is quite frustrating. Does anybody have an idea or Clue as to why this is happening?
Not sure if this is related to it, but i have "time machine" for my external hardrive and that seems to fail backing up sometimes as well. but when i un plug it and plug it back in the back up works flawlessley. Could this all possibly be related to the external hard drive.

Why does my iTunes freeze up every time it is opened. It only operates for about 10 -15 seconds and then freezes. I've tried installing it again several times, but with no different results. Can anyone give me something to try? Have I downloaded some program that I shouldn't have? Thank you for any suggestions that you can give me.

Is your iPhone storage capacity full or close to it?
Try a reset, which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release. A reset is similar to computer restart. -
Why does my iTunes freezes while trying to sync my iPod Touch?
When I try to sync my 2nd Gen. iPod Touch, it freezes partly. It froze when a pop up from iTunes saying it's 'Adding Files' and below it, it says 'Processing: 20100314211421.m4a'. I'm pretty sure I know that I didn't download this file. And when I try to search it by the whole number '20100314211421' my computer couldn't locate it. BUT if I search in the first couple numbers like '2010' it shows a bunch of them and it's mostly [ MyDocuments / My Music / iTunes/ iTunes Music ] folder so I'm guessing it's from iTunes. After figuring that out, I uninstall iTunes 3 times and it still wouldn't sync!
+ When it froze, I could still listen to music although it doesn't play the next track.
++ Also, my iPod is the 4.0 version

Have them document the issue in the system, and provide a resolution if one is available. If there is none they will work it until they find one.

Why does my itunes freeze when syncing music to my ipod?
Hello,
i've recently updated my itunes. After plugging in my iPod classic to my itunes to put some new music on there, it begins syncing then stops on a certain song. I have set my iPod back to default settings and then began putting all of my music back on once more and again, the sync has frozen at song 600.

Why does you tube freeze up all the time?
Why when I'm trying to watch You Tube does it constantly freeze up making it useless to me?
I get the same problem and also when I'm trying to watch a preview of films or tv shows on iTunes via my Phone. Drives me mad.

Why does my system freeze after ever update from Firefox...and has gotten very slow
My computer freezes during or after every update that come in automatically recently. It has also gotten extremely slow at the same time.
Your setup looks like it should really fly.
Often when people have serious slowdowns like you mention, it comes down to one of two things:
a) Some problem with the user's account. One way to test if this is the case is to create a new admin user and try running FCP X from this new account. If the same projects that were slow behave well in this account you'll know that some setting, or cache, or login item, or whatnot in your own account is responsible.
b) Some problem with a plugin. If there is a plugin that you use all the time, and maybe was not updated for the current version, and can cause slowdowns, then maybe you think it is the machine. See what plugins you are using, and run a test project without them. Does it run as fast as it should? -
is this a virus? i havent been able to get into my itunes on my computer since christmas. everytime i open it it freezes. i have to use task manager to exit out of it. i even tried to update it and the new version also freezes. help!
I have the exact same problem. Mine freezes usually within a few seconds after loading. I can't even sync with my iPhone because it freezes before it's completed.
I'm beginning to think it's an issue with Windows 7. I'm going to try it on my other laptop which is running XP. -
Why does my iTunes freeze when it gets to the backing up part of the sync?
Every time I try and sync my phone to iTunes it freezes shortly after starting the backing up process. Any ideas? I've restarted my phone and laptop several times and can't find anything to work.

Why does my layer freeze after putting it in a clipping mask?
I have a new retina-display iMac, and my version of Photoshop (Creative Cloud) is up-to-date.
Whenever I drag an image from my browser over to my open Photoshop file and place it, it's fine. But when I then try to move that layer into an existing clipping mask, suddenly the layer freezes. I can see it, and I can see the transform controls, and it is being masked, but I can't move it, or use the transform controls to re-size it. It's like this new image layer is completely frozen.
I have to save the Photoshop file, close it, re-open it, then everything works as normal and I can adjust the new image and move it around. Happens every time. Please help!
My computer is brand new and I just freshly installed Photoshop, I shouldn't be having to deal with any weirdness already!'

I've never had this problem before but since I've updated my iTunes, it freezes as soon as my iPod gets connected. Ever more strange, the music plays in the background but yet iTunes is frozen. Any help?

Why does my itunes freeze every time i connect my 80GB
i am trying to load music onto my ipod and no matter what i try my itunes feezes and no matter what computer. i thought it was just because i was using an old desktop but even my new windows laptop will freeze.
It appears that my iTunes is recignizing my iPod as an iPhone for some reason...could that be the problem?

Why does my iTunes freeze when syncing?
Every single time I try to sync my phone to my iTunes on my PC, it freezes the computer. This happens on my phone, another iPhone in the house, my iPad, and a iPod. Any tips? Please help! One of my iPhones has NO music, and mine is only the purchased.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.
Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
