Why does my mail keep saying "Cannot get mail"

Synced my Yahoo account with my phone and recieved mail for a few months. About three weeks ago I recieved a message when I open my Mail app that says "Cannot Get Mail - The connection to the server failed." I also received an email that said "Recently, we have detected some unusual activity on your account and as a result, we've temporarily locked it for your protection. You may unlock your account immediately by logging in on a PC. If you have additional questions, please visit us at ___ to get the help you need. Sincerely, Your yahoo customer experience team."
I logged in to my account on my laptop and everything seemed to fix itself and everything was fine when I get on my computer but I am still not able to get new mail through my phone. It still keeps giving me the "Cannot Get Mail" message on my phone.
Any thoughts?

It sounds like you are getting a message that your password is incorrect after you changed the password for your email account. I would try these 3 troubleshooting steps from the following article to help troubleshoot the AOL account connection:

Log in to your email provider's website to ensure that the account is active and the password is correct.
Restart your iOS device.
Delete the affected email account from your device.
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Choose the affected email account, then tap Delete Account.
Add your account again.

You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. If you rest it on your computer's iTunes then try logging out of your account on the iPod by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works.

You may want to update your iPhone using iTunes on a computer if your device only shows "estimating time remaining" when you try to update wirelessly:
If you can’t update wirelessly, or if you want to update with iTunes, follow these steps:
If you use your device's Personal Hotspot for your computer's Internet connection, update your device wirelessly or connect your computer to another network.
Install the latest version of iTunes on your computer.
Plug in your device to your computer.
In iTunes, select your device.
In the Summary pane, click Check for Update.
Click Download and Update.

Check to make sure you don't have your restrictions turned on, which may be preventing your access to iTunes.
Tap on the settings icon, then tap General, then check to see if you have restrictions turned to ON. If so turn it off.

Why does the YouTube app say "Cannot Connect to YouTube" over Wifi or 3G?

Hi, everyone.
When I open the YouTube app with Wifi or 3G, it says "Cannot Connect to YouTube." I've browse a few sites, and the number one response is to reset the router. I tried resetting the router (Latest Apple AirPort Extreme) to factory default and Restoring the iPad 2 from Backup. I would believe the router issue to be plausible if 3G worked. Since YouTube doesn't work over 3G, I don't believe the router is the issue.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Me too, ipad mini can't get YouTube app to function via the official app and the same error message," ...tap to retry", but to no avail. The app launches but it will not allow me to sign in. The drop arrow just tilts up and down and ...nothing. I can still access YouTube through Safari browser but strange, I can't find a solution to the app not opening or being able to sign in on either ipad mini or phone even though they are up to date apps.

Why does my download keep saying verifying disk image?

im trying to update the maps on my garmin Sat nav. i have bought europe maps to download to a micro sd card. i have downloaded the maps somewhere on my mac and then was asked to download Garmin map updater. then i can transfer them to the micro sd. Im doing the download and before its completed its saying in my download box 'verifying......' im doing it for the second time as it did this the first time but its taking hours and keeps saying verifying. im really frustrated now. can anyone help?? thank you

2. Select Info.

1. Select Settings from the main menu.
2. Select About.
If iPod is connected to your computer, you can use the Finder to see how much space is left. Select iPod's icon on the desktop and choose Show Info from the File menu.

Why does it just keep saying "Downloading Firefox" for hours?

I am downloading from Explorer. It just keeps saying Downloading Firefox after I double click on the installer. It goes on for hours and hours. It is ironic that it tells me that "you're about to enjoy the very latest in speed, flexibility and security so you're always in control." Please help.
