Why does my nano 5th generation NOT have radio?

I bought a used nano 5th generation...8GB and there is no radio option on it....everthing I find on-line says it should have it....anyone know why?

No, any wired headphones will work but be sure they are plugged all the way in, the plastic on the headset jack should be flush with the body of the Nano.

I just got a new iPod nano and when I connect it, nothing happens. Itdoes not appear in the device list in iTunes. The nano screen says it is connected but I didn't get to even set it up in itunes. I've tried everything on the apple site - uninstalled itunes and then reinstalled, reset the ipod. I just can't restore because the apple site says I need to do that through iTunes, but I can't b/c it's not showing up in the device list. VERY FRUSTRATING!!

Ipod nano 5th generation not supported by iTrip fm transmitter

Hey all! So I have a new ipod, 5th geneneration nano, and an old FM transmitted for my car from iTrip. When I plug it in it says not supported by this device. I heard I can do a software update of some kind to make this work? Just thought I would see what I could do before I bought a new device to use my ipod in my car! Any suggestions?? Thanks!

I don't really have much to offer, but I noticed your alias as "Wittrockj." I find it a bit crazy, because I myself am a Wittrock, and I hardly ever run into to too many. Anyways, nice to meet you.
As to the FM transmitter, have you checked the manufacturer's website or contacted them via telephone or email? They would have a better idea on this sort of thing. Considering the transmitter was released before the iPod, I think your chances are pretty slim when it comes to your Nano being compatible with it.

I just upgraded to Snow Leopard and am having problems importing my source video into IDVD 6 (which is what I have many programs saved under). I was going to install the new Ilife I received with the new OS and it does not contain IDVD??

Yes, that contains iDVD 7, which is a big improvement on iDVD 6 - which may or may not work with Snow Leopard.

Why does my drop down menu not have setup sync?

MY drop down menu in Firefox does not include setup sync. Do I have the latest version of firefox? I amd trying to sync info with my new laptop.

Why does the black iPhone 5 not have a front mic?

I noticed that the white iPhone 5 has a front mic while the black does not. How come?

What you're NOT seeing on the black model is the proximity sensor which is to the left of the earpiece/speaker if the phone is viewed from the front. This is visible on the white model but not the black model.
The mic is apparently contained within the earpiece/speaker hole. See the following .pdf file (you need Acrobat Reader installed to view) and zoom in to the front view.

Back up all data. Don't continue unless you're sure you can restore from a backup, even if you're unable to log in.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. Have you tried to get your account re-enabled ?
If not them you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
You might then need to log out of your account on your iPod by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it
If that doesn't fix it then contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

Why does my RC 3.3 not have new lens profiles?

I've installed RC 3.3 on both my laptop and desktop running 10.6 SnowLeopard. I can access the program fine but neither install shows the new list of lens profiles. My Library/AppSupport/Adobe/CameraRaw has the Nikon 1.0 folder with the new list but it doesn't load into the program. Any suggestions?

Dan,
I presume ACR 6.3 is installed correctly (>Help>About).
You will only see the new profiles with RAW pictures, not with JPG's.
In fact you will only see most of the profiles with RAW files only.

Because there is a corrupt file on your Touch. Restore it in iTunes from your backup.

How do I delete audio books from my iPod Nano 5th generation. Have deleted from iTunes library & chose sync but it is still on my iPod.

What you do is this; the next time your ipod is jacked to the USB port on you computer and it shows under "Devices" in your Itunes library. click on that folder (your ipod) and it will have eight folders above the Ipod's state.
That was step one; step two is once you see this bar above the ipod's state in the Ipod's folder under "devices" scroll down the horizontal bar until you see audiobooks
Itune's is very user friendly and will give you the option to pick and choose or pick all. to get the audio books off your ipod pick and choose the audio books you want on you're ipod

I use an iPod nano 5th generation. I have had it for about two years now and after about one year, I plugged in my iPod into my computer to sync more music. Here is the problem: The tab where you go to sync music to your iPod and shows the list of artists and songs you want to sync to the iPod, the tab I can get to but the list of songs and artists does not show up and the only way I can sync music to my iPod is to basically wipe my iPod and start from scratch. Obviously, I do not want to do that because I do not have all the songs in my library that I have on my iPod. I have uninstalled iTunes and then re-installed it, but it did not work and I do not know what else to do. I would really appreciate helpful guidance to get it fixed if it can be fixed.
