Why does my phone say no sim card?  How do i fix?

I dropped my phone and now it says No Sim in the upper left.  I cannot use the phone.  how do i fix?

This happened to me recently. I had to turn the phone on and off twice. I also had to press on the top of the frame of the phone where the sim card is. My issue actually happened when the phone had not been dropped. Good luck.

My phone says invaild SIM. I cannot text, call, or connect to the internet!!! What is the problem??

Yes, All iPhone 5's have SIM cards... regardless of carrier.
    Remove and reinstall the SIM.
If the issue continues, get a replacement SIM from Verizon.
FYI, Verizion uses SIM's in all there LTE devices.

  • Why does my iPad say No SIM card installed?

When I plugged in my ipad to charge a message came up that said:  No SIM card installed.  Is this OK?

Check the right and left sides of your iPad for a small hole the size of a paper clip (remove your smart cover if you have one).  If you see this, then you have the wifi + cellular model.  If you do, use a paper clip to remove the sim tray (or the sim removal tool that came with your iPad if you have it) as shown in the image below.
If the tray has a sim card in it, push the sim tray back in to re-seat it in the side of the iPad, then turn it on to see if the error message re-appears.  If it re-appears, take it to a Verizon store and have them give you a new sim card.
If you have a sim tray but it is empty, you'll need to go to a Verizon store to get a sim card for it.

  • Why does my phone say invalid sim and why can I not phone or send messages on it

I cannot use phone or text today. What is problem?

Usually cuz its locked to a network other then the SIM's. Did you swap SIMs today? Or it's not seated properly. Take it out and reinsert carefully.

Why does my phone say that I have entered the wrong security code off of my debt card when i'm trying to download any app free or otherwise? I know all my info is correct and my debt card is good.

Mine is doing the same. I've tried several different cards all with the same response.

Why does ipad 2 need a sim card? it doesn't have a phone function.

If you want to use the 3G cellular data service - you need a sim card. If you just plan on using WiFi, then it doesn't matter.
The 3G cellular service allows you to connect the iPad to the internet in areas where WiFi is not available. You do not have to install the sim card in order to use the iPad as long as you just use WiFi. You can always purchase the service later if you don't want it right now.

  • TS3274 Why does my iPad say " No SIM " in the upper left corner

Why does my iPad say " No SIM " in the upper left corner ?

    Hi Edwardtracey,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
It sounds like you have a cellular data plan and there is no service where you currently are.
The article below will explain this feature and how to turn the setting on/off.
The article has more details and screenshots, but I've quoted highlights below for you:
iOS: About the Cellular Data setting
Cellular data is used for data communication in cellular networks. It does not affect your ability to make or receive phone calls or to use Wi-Fi networks for Internet connectivity. If you turn off cellular data, you will be unable to:
See the cellular data icons in the status bar (for example, LTE or 3G).
Send or receive MMS messages. However, you can still send and receive SMS and iMessages if you're connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Retrieve or listen to new Visual Voicemail messages. To retrieve these messages, enable Cellular Data.
    Use Personal Hotspot.
You can adjust this setting by going to:
    iPad: Settings > Cellular
    Additional Information
You can also enable or disable cellular data for certain iOS features from this setting:
I hope this information helps ....
    Have a great day!
    - Judy

Try removing the SIM and putting it back. Try resetting the phone by pressing and holding the power and Home buttons until the silver apple appears. Contact AT&T for a new SIM.

    Hi kpnit4rl,
Please remove your battery and sim and reinsert it again. If the problem persists, maybe your phone is locked.

  • Why does my ipad2 say no sim?

I bought my iPad online and have been using it for about a month with both wifi and 3G. Why am I suddenly getting a msg in the upper left corner that says no sim?

There may be a problem with the SIM card, or the SIM card is not seated properly.
Have you tried removing and re-inserting the SIM card - with the iPad powered off when doing so?
