Why does my photo booth say no camera connected?
I was trying to take pictures on photo booth and it says "no connection to camera", how do I fix that?
This is the forum category for older PowerPC iMacs, so I have to ask, does your iMac have a built-in camera?

Why is my Photo Booth not working now that I installed OS X Mountain Lion?
I just updated to the OS X Mountain Lion and now my Photo Booth will not work. If I try and open Photo Booth it says "You can't use this version of the application "Photo Booth" with this version of OS X. You have "Photo Booth" 3.0.3." Why wouldn't the new software include a new version of Photo Booth?
Photo Booth version 5 came with Mountain Lion. Try running Software Update to see if the program will update.
If you can't find it you may have to try reinstalling Mountain Lion. -

Quit the app and restart the iPad. I the camera app is in the task bar, close it as well.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down the app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Tap the home button.
Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -

My Safari also has a hiccup. My ISP (comcast) helped me by suggesting I try the same task using a different browser (firefox). I had both installed, and firefox completed the task smoothly with no issues. I was told the problem was on my end and my safari browser was most likely flawed. I cannot find the procedure to uninstall & reinstall the Safari app. My iMac came with 2 discs (os & bundled apps) But the ability to choose Safari only, for this task remains illusive. Any suggestions or fixes to repair a glitch infected Safari will be appreciated.

The following article provides further information and could very well help get your Apple TV and your television cooperating again.
If HDCP authentication does not succeed, you may see one of the following symptoms:
A message may appear on your television stating "This content requires HDCP for playback. HDCP isn't supported by your HDMI connection."
You may see periodic bands of static, or full screen static, flashing across your TV screen.
If you are experiencing either of the symptoms above, try playing the same content again for at least another 10 seconds. If the issue persists, try the following steps until the issue is resolved:
Connect your Apple TV (2nd generation) directly to your HDTV using an HDMI cable.
Set your Apple TV and HDTV to off or sleep mode
From the Apple TV interface, select: Settings -> Sleep Now.
Turn off your TV and wait for about 10 seconds.
Turn your TV back on.
Press the Select button on your Apple TV remote to wake your Apple TV.
Some HDTVs may need a firmware update. Consult your TV manufacturer's user manual or online support pages for additional information about how to update your TV's firmware.
If available, try using a different HDMI to HDMI cable, such as an Apple HDMI to HDMI cable, directly between your Apple TV (2nd generation) and 720p HDCP-compatible HDTV.

Why does my Airport Express say "self assigned IP address"? No IP address for the ethernet, and it is not connecting to my cable router any longer...
Some cable providers.....like mine, a well known company......seem to take anywhere from a few moments to sometimes up to 30 minutes to allow their equipment back at the cable company to fully reset and issue a new fresh connection.
So, it would not hurt to leave things powered down for 15-20 minutes or more when you perform the reset that John Galt suggests. -

The icons in the Dock are aliases. If iPhoto isn't launching from the dock the alias may be broken. What you can do is first test to if iPhoto is working by launching the app from the Applications folder. Once you have determined iPhoto is OK then remove the old Dock icon by holding it down and dragging it to the desktop, it will disappear in a puff of smoke. Then go to the Applications folder and drag the iPhoto icon to the Dock and test it.

Are you using a debit card? I read somewhere that debit card are not being accepted by itunes. Go to settings/itunes & app store, tap on the ID there then on view account, log in and check payment details to see if they are correct.
