Hi there,
so my Mac Mini is getting very slow, and need to do a OS X clean install. I wouldn't want to loose my apps/folder arrangements on my iPad if I do a clean install on that Mac Mini.

computer info: G4 titanium Powerbook w/ 1.33 gHz (i think)/15" titanium/OS X.3.9
If it's a 1.33, it's an Aluminum PB. If it's a Titanium, then the fastest it could be is 1Ghz, and if it shipped with 10.1, it's a 400-800Mhz. It would be good to know in order to install the correct OS (you cannot install an OS earlier than the one the PB originally shipped with). It sounds like you were running 10.1 on this before - yes?
here's what i've tried so far.
1) erased the HD (zeroed out)
all the ones i found say to start up from the CD, which ain't workin' for me.
I don't understand, if you can't boot from the install disc or Target Disk Mode, how did you zero the PB HD? Do you have an OS installed on your FW HD?
If you're attempting to boot into FWTDM correctly and the PB's HD is not mounting on the host computer, then you have hardware issues, possibly the PB's HD. Is the external HD you have a 2.5"? If so, I would install it in the PB and see if that shows up. -

When you go to System Preferences > Sound what does it say for Output? Have you had headphones plugged in? Sometimes the headphone jack gets stuck thinking it has something plugged in when there isn't anaything there. SMC also has something to do with Sound:

Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and ALL peripherals.
Wait 15 seconds.
Attach the computers power cable.
Wait another 5 seconds and press the power button to turn on the computer.
The 5 second timing is important to a successful reset. -
I have a first generation ipod nano which is being recalled, and after going thru the registration process was meant to get a barcode to send the old nano back with but it was blank. In the registration process it also mentioned about apple sending out packaging to return the old ipod. Just wondering if anyone has been thru this process and can offer advice?
Yes they will send you a box with return label. I have been waiting for a month for a box. Just got off the phone with customer service and they said it would be another 3-4 weeks before I receive a box for replacement. Once I send it in it will take another 6 weeks to get the replacement after they receive it. I also hear it a 1st gen nano that will be the replacement.Apple says they were overwhelmed by the response to the recall. Looks like they dropped the ball when they have to spend the money!

When I try to print from a web page using Firefox, the page usually does not print in the correct format and I always get extra blank pages. Usually the first page that comes out it blank. I'm using a HP d135 All-in-one printer. This problem does not happen when I use Explorer. Does anyone have a fix for this printing problem? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Why does my tv screen black out with atv2?
Does anyone know how to cure the screen on my tv blacking out with atv2? It occurs whether watching a movie from iTunes or Netflix, flicking through my iTunes library or when the photographs scroll when listening to music. I have latest software, tried resettting the atv and also changed the hdmi cable. Any help would be appreciated.
I bought ATV last night and have the same issue. Mine screen is up for no more than 60 seconds at a time so it really is useless. I'm going to try different things today to see if I can figure it out, but no answers yet.

You should have the option in the program you're printing from, to change the page order. Check the settings in the program.

My mac screen is frozen with white fuzzy lines going across the screen. I shut it off and turn it back on but it still remains white fish lines on the start up screen. I've tried revolting it, it works sometimes but now its stuck at the starting screen. I have been at this for 2 hours to try and fix it but nothing has changed about the screen. What do I do, if I break this computer I'm screwed.

Why does "about blank" page come up with ads under it
When I delete the page there are ads under it or a request to update some program. If it mentions and error and I hold the cursor over the blue 'more information' words it advertises some store. I'm going to go back to using IE as this 'about blank' thing sounds like a virus waiting to happen.
It sounds like you may have something on your computer putting this in Firefox, but we can clean it up. Please do the following steps:

I have had my apple tv 2 for about 3 months which work perfectly fine when I use it with my iPad 3 ー all of the sudden I get the HDCP Error! I read the forms and done everything! Apple I name a loyal customer, please come out with an update soon!
That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it... -

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, when you print a photo in iPhoto it has a tint. I would recommend that you read this article, this article explains how to adjust the tint in a photo.

Whenever I take pictures in a dark place with my Iphone 4, the pictures come out with a purple haze. Why does this happen?
To make sure that this is not software related, set it back to factory settings, without using any backup data afterwards. Set up the rest of the personal settings manually and test the camera. If it still does not work, this is a hardware issue and the phone has to be serviced by Apple or an Authorized Apple Service Provider:
