Why does my scrollbar go crazy whenever I switch back to Pages from a different application?

The title says it all, really.
I have a 2011 13" MacBook Air, running OS X 10.7.3 Lion and I love it, but I have an issue that I can't seem to resolve.
Whenever I edit a document in pages, and I switch to let's say, a web browser, and switch back, the scroll bar on my document goes nuts for a few seconds.
It flickers and goes up and down for around 5 seconds every time I do this. While this is happening, I can't use Pages, or edit my document at all.
It's driving me insane, because I am required to look up stuff from other applications constantly, and switch back and forth all the time to take notes.
Anyone else experience this issue?

I described what was made last week in the Apple Store sitting in Villeneuve Loubet.
I wasn't in the store so, maybe the genius just told the techie to do this or that.
The result is the same : the HD was formatted.
(1) it was not needed
(2) it destroyed important datas (the versions) and as far as I know, the genius is supposed to be more aware of such feature than a standard user.
As I'm not a standard user,
(a) I know that a genius is just a vendor which reached a given level of efficiency as vendor. No proof of true knowledge of the products
(b) I would not let somebody format my HD. Once I gave a defective HD for data recovery and wrote with a large marker « Mac OS X 10.4.6 ». The techie was so dumb that he formatted the HD for Windows.

It's a feature which is supposed to enhance your interface with your Mac and its operating system on screen. It is a "visual aid" that is meant to remove on screen clutter.
You can go to 'system prefs/ click general/ click 'Show scroll "Always button"

Don't know. You can turn system sounds OFF in your control panel. XP it's under Sounds, Vista, 7 & 8 it's under Hardware and Sound.
Click Change system sounds
Select "No Sounds" to disable all windows interface sounds.
Click Apply and OK

Chances are you are looking at the place holder of a large image. Go to the preferences and check that View Large Images is checked.

Most videos on the internet are played using the Adobe Flash plugin.
Recent crashes of certain multimedia contents (this includes Youtube videos, certain flash games and other applications) in conjunction with Firefox are most probably caused by a recent Flash update and/or a malfunctioning browser plugin such as Real Player.
In order to remedy the problem, please perform the steps mentioned in these Knowledge Base articles:

There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of reports. A crash report has a name that begins with the name of the crashed process and ends in ".crash". A panic report has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends in ".panic". A shutdown stall report has a name that ends in ".shutdownstall". Select the most recent of each, if any. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot. It's possible that none of these reports exists.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.
If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a crash or panic, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)

Make Sure iOS is updated to the latest version
Reboot the device by pressing and holding down the home and sleep/wake buttons (power) at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings

I fly the drone and switch back and forth from video to still pics and while I may have filmed four videos , sometimes Quicktime tells me that one of them can't be played . Checking the info shows that each of the unplayed videos was saved in the same mp4 format as the playable ones yet some of my most important videos won't play . It's getting very frustrating .

first; I use Perian, that helps even though it is no longer supported, (must have for avi files)
the apple-cores at apple have gotten very sloppy -- quicktime is a bit finicky and flakey.
example,   occasionally (when copy file from quad's card to hard drive) the avi will show up as a 'mov' file and qt plays it no problem and no conversion.
but that is very occasionally, most of the time qt won't convert the file,   -- iMovie won't open an avi without Perian installed , I don't know how that effects qt.
qt 7"pro" is no good either, (qt 10 does everything it does and for NOT the extra $35)
I have gone to VLC and MPlayerX for direct playback for drones and cameras.

well depending on how your audio is brought into your system you can select it as two streams of mono or a stereo pair. In reality, unless it's mixed in stereo, that's just two streams of mono locked together. Other streams brought in via other means, can have a lot more audio channels, e.g. 8, 16, 24.
In your case, with what you're doing, two separate channels works best, so you can control the levels of two very different audio sources. If, for instance, you were taking the feed from the mixing board during a concert, you might want their stereo out. Otherwise you might be dealing with the 1.2 zillion channels that they're mixing live.
I like separating the tracks coming in. I work with people who prefer to lock them together. Locking means the tracks move together during editing. Ok, fine, but I'm usually dealing with different audio sources, like you are: a camera mic (safety on location) and a close mic (shotgun, lav). Or I have a shotgun source and a lav. I want to determine the best source audio for the shot. Sometimes it's a lav, sometimes a different feed from somewhere else, sometimes the shotgun, and sometimes a mix of two sources. But if they're locked together and pre-set to come out evenly from both speakers there no way for me to make a determination. The other guys like to cut and figure out the audio later.

Every time Firefox opened

I had this problem once before, And now again.
The only thing I did different, was Instead of shutting down my computer, I click on Log off User.
Ever since then I have noticed windows XP is taking longer to load, and so is Firefox.

Probably a glitch in Safari.
Quit Safari - double tap the Home button to reveal the multi-tasking window at the bottom. Swipe sideqays until you see the Safari icon. Tpa-and-hold until the red circle/hwite bar appears, then tap that to close Safari. You might do that with all the icons to be sure.
Tap the Home button to close multi-tasking.
Restart the device (hold Home and Sleep for around 10 seconds untl the Apple logo appears).
Fingers crosed, that'll fix it
