Why does my Sim card keep saying that it is not installed?

Someone please explain why my Iphone 4 keeps saying that no sim card is installed.I have to keep taking it out and putting it back in. I have even got a new sim card and it still does it. I thought it was my case putting too much pressure on the sim card spot even out of its case it still pops up. Can this be an easy fix or somthing major wrong? What can I do?

The SIM card is not saying anything.
The device is reporting "SIM not installed".
Remove and reinstall the SIM.
Replace the SIM.
If the neither of those resolves the issues, take the device to Apple for evaluation.

    Hi lepyykko,
If I understand your question, you are trying to update your iPhone, but you are seeing an error message that iTunes for Windows is not installed, is that right?  The first step is to get iTunes successfully installed on your computer.  Then backup the iPhone before updating the iOS software.
Are you seeing any error messages when you try to install iTunes for Windows?

    Before you update
Back up your device to iCloud.
    Update your device wirelessly
The easiest way to update your device is wirelessly, also called “over the air.” Here’s how:
Plug in your device to a power source.
Tap Settings > General > Software Update.
Tap Download and Install. Updates might download automatically while your device is connected to Wi-Fi and a power source.
Tap Install, or tap Later to install the update later. If you use a passcode, you'll need to enter it before installing the update.

  • Iphone 4s not recognising new sim card keeps saying sim not valid?

iphone 4s not recognising new sim card keeps saying sim not valid. Can anyone advise me please?

    There are three possibilities:
    1.  Your phone is locked to a different carrier and will not work with any SIM card except those from that carrier.
    2.  Your new card is from a carrier not supported by the iPhone.
    3.  Your new SIM card is defective.
In order to determine which is the right answer you could try a different sim from the same carrier or try your new card on a different iPhone.   Also check to make sure your new carrier is a supported carrier.

  • My phone keeps saying that it can not activate my iphone why is this?

my phone keeps saying that it can not activate my Iphone , why is this?

Just have to give it some time. The activation and verification servers are all slammed right now 'cause of all the people trying to update at the same time. Give it a couple hours (or overnight if you can wait) and it should sort itself out.

  • Everytime I try to install 64 bit ITunes on my window8.1 it says that it has not installed properly.

Everytime I try to install 64 bit ITunes on my window8.1 it says that it has not installed properly. I don't know what can I do, or where do I go next. Please help, I am lost.

I have a similar question.  I am trying to install 64-bit iTunes on Windows 7 Professional.  I click on the download button and specify some folder in which to save the installation file, iTunes64Setup.exe, and Apple thinks it has downloaded iTunes64Setup.exe, but that file is not where I asked for it to be put (or anywhere on my hard drive, if I search for it).  I have tried downloading to many different places, both with and without requesting news, updates, special offers, etc., and have had no luck at all with anything I tried.  This is extraordinarily frustrating and I have wasted a lot of time.  Please help me get iTunes64Setup.exe onto my computer somehow.  Thank you.

  • I need to launch an app that needs java runtime enviro 1.5. It is saying that it is not installed on my mac but I think it is.

I need to launch an app that requires javaruntime 1.5. My mac is saying that it is not installed but when i go into utilities, it looks like it is.
Don't know where to go from here.
    I have version 10.7.3.

I believe that i have the latest version of Java runtime. But my app should be running on it but its not.
Well, either you don't actually have Java, as you think you do, or the app won't run in the latest Java runtime.  Try entering the following command in the Terminal (found in /Applications/Utilities):
    java -version
If that causes an install window to appear, you don't have Java at all.
If it displays a version number, make a note of that version, and ask the developer of the app whether it should run in that version of Java.

  • I was trying to update my garageband app and once the app fully downloads it says that it could not install and to check my internet connection. I restarted my internet, turned it off and on, restarted my computer, and nothing works what do i do

I was trying to update my garageband app and once the app fully downloads it says that it could not install and to check my internet connection. I restarted my internet, turned it off and on, restarted my computer, deleted the app and downloaded it again and the same thing happened every time. What should I do?

Do you have any firewalls or antivirus software active (e.g. Little Snitch), that could prevent the installer from contacting the Apple Servers? If yes, turn them off.  Also, disable the Energy saver, to prevent the Mac from falling asleep and causing time outs.
Sometimes it will help, to run the installer in Safe Mode, see:  Mac OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?

  • Why does my iphone 4 keep saying it needs to be restored

My iphone keeps saying that it needs to be restored sometimes it will work for a hour or a week but continuely needs to be plugged into itunes any solutions or helpful advice?

The genius bar is the support department at an Apple Store. They won't charge you anything to talk to you and look at the problem, but if the phone has suffered a hardware failure and is out of warranty it will cost you $149 for a replacement.
