Why does my Sony XBR49X850B Bravia TV disconnect from the internet all the time.

OK sony, I have jumped through all your ******ing hoops to register on your community site, since you have no direct line to support which is absolutly riddiculous, now please answer my question. Ever since I purchased this 1500 dollar TV, Brand New from best buy, I would be sitting and watching internet TV, either Netflix or Amazon, the problem exists with both, and it will just freeze. I would go back to the home screen and it would tell me that wifi is connected but there is no internet. I would have to wait for it to come back or go through the network setup on the TV once or twice. Other Details:This happens every other day almost.I have a Desktop PC running off wifi also, right under my TV, it stays connected without a problem.I do a speed test to on my PC to see how fast my bandwidth is at that time, and it is always 40 mbit - 60 mbit, which is plenty of bandwidth to stream anything.I have tried both wired and wifi connections.I have tried the Google DNS' and assigning a static local ip address.I have updated the firmware.I have updated internet content.I have owned the TV for about 6 months.I have Xfinity as an internet service provider.Tried resetting to factory settings. I am all out of ideas. I will never have the amount of money that I paid for this TV again, I just want it to work correctly.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps.
Check for a firmware update for your router. 
Make sure the router is broadcasting the Service Set Identifier < SSID >.
Please try other device/s. Connect them to your network (wired/wireless) then test those units.

    I had the same problem and just found a solution. I tryed restoring all content and settings on the iPad (Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings). It took lots of time, however it didn´t work because when I connected the iPad and iMac the problem persisted.
    Then I thought it wasn´t an iPad problem but iMac OSX problem. So I searched the web for "Reinstall Mavericks" and found this http://support.apple.com/kb/PH13871?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US.
    It also takes like 6 hours with my internet speed. Next day I connected the iPad and everything is just fine.
    I described both processes because I don´t know if in the end the iPad reset helped in the solution.

    What is the account type - POP, IMAP, or Exchange?
    If a POP account, are you also accessing the account with an email client on your computer? If so, what is the account setting for removing messages from the server after being downloaded with the email client used on your computer for accessing the account?

  • Why does CC update .png files only some of the time?

    I am creating some lower thirds from a template in PS, saving them as .png files and bringing them into the project. When I get updates from our clients, I will make those changes in the .psd, and save over the original .png file. Sometimes CC will update that file in the project without having to re-import and everything is fine. It isnt a huge hassle to just replace the file but Id like to know why it only works some of the time.

    I am trying to up load a 40 page 12" x 12" photo book to Blurb from the book module in Lightroom 4.2.  It renders the pages and then having rendered the cover gets stuck, about 50% to 60% through the process. None of the photographs are starred or colour coded. I have uploaded successfully from this iMac in the last few weeks.  I please advise.

    I have had the same problem for a week. I have made about 25 attempts to upload an admittedly large book, and finally got one over to Blurb. The next problem is that some of the pictures are upside down! Blurb are referring me to Lightroom support as they say they only print the books. Some of the messages I got when trying to upload the books were general failure messages, but some said "problem with Blurb servers".

  • Why does my iPod app keep starting over from the beginning??

    I have noticed lately that my iPod app seems to start over and play ALL songs on my phone from the beginning nearly every time I plug my phone into my car stereo.
    I plug my phone into my car stereo and listen every day on my work commute. As such, it's very important that the music stay on the same position between the times when I'm in my car. For the most part it's been fine, even on 4.0.1, unless I rebooted the phone or did a spring board respring, or otherwise killed the iPod app from the multitask app list.
    However this past week, it's been starting over from the beginning (I was playing songs from a playlist and it starts over from the beginning of ALL songs) nearly every single time I connect it to my car stereo. I have not been listening to the music between times in the car, nor have I even opened the iPod app or killed the process from the multitask bar.
    This is absolutely maddening. No changes have been made to the phone in the past couple of months, other than a few App Store app updates here and there. This just started really being a problem in the past week. What could be causing this?

    Dont have that problem but i have two tips:
    1 Other ipod/iphone apps: they are often the problem, i had an alarm clock and that blocked the whole ipod app, so check if other apps dont use songs to wake up or anything else..
    2 try to leave the ipod app trough the multitasking instead of pressing the home button?

  • Why does my game ask me to update from the google play store?

    My game (NFL matchups) tells me to update to a newer version from the google play store. It doesn't let me play the game at all and I have tried reset and reinstalling, clearing my safari cookies, nothing seems to work, please help. Idk y it would tell me to update from google play when I'm on an iPad I have contacted the developer and they keeps having me try different things but nothing has worked yet.

    It would seem that there's an error in the coding of the app that causes it to think it's the Android version. If restarting/resetting your iPad:

    If you try by Ethernet you can verify if the issue is with your WiFi network or if your appletv is defect as most users do not suffer as you do

    For whatever reason my Macbook pro 15in keeps disconnecting from the internet everytime it goes to sleep. And sometimes when I wake it up, I have to turn wifi on and off a couple times to get it to detect the right signal. This does not happen with my playstation or my phone so it has to be a problem with the Macbook itself. Can anyone give me any information on how to fix this problem?     10.5.x/10.6.x/10.7.x instructions...
    System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
    The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
    Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.
    For 10.5/10.6, System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app

        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

    Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
