Why does my VI correctly work only when I turn on highlight execution?

I am monitoring a piece of hardware using VISA and my app. works fine when highlight execution is turned on. My app. is to constantly write and read data however it seems to read incorrectly off the serial port when highlight execution is off. I have tried adding a wait to the read and also flushing the buffer before and after it completes one cycle of write/read. Any ideas? I'm stuck.

Sorry about wasting your time if youve tried to solve it. I wasnt waiting long enough between successive write and reads.

The songs are not from iTunes, they are from CDs that I had copied to my itunes library.
It is worth mentioning that I wasn't facing this issue before IOS 5.

Why does my custom device break only when VeriStand tries to run it?

I have a custom device, it's been working for awhile now, today I made some changes to add some more functionality and now VeriStand tells me the RT driver is no longer executable.
I didn't change my build configuration or add any functionas that might bring in some external DLL or something that might be linking incorrectly.
Any thoughts to how I might go about narrowing this down. The problem is only at runtime in VeriStand. The built LLB has no issues, the development source has no issues, it's only when VeriStand tries to deploy that there is an issue so there has to be something that's not linked properly yes?
The system is not RT, it's just deploying on Windows using a PXIe.

I don't know for sure the exact cause, but I ended up just eliminating portions of the driver code piece by piece to narrow down what was causing the issue. It turned out to be a debug VI that I've used many times before in various projects, but which contains the "Call Chain" LabVIEW primitive, but aside from that, it's just some simple string manipulation. So I don't know if it was just some random edge case that only occurred when executing under VeriStand's own underlying LabVIEW code but for whatever reason, it was breaking the driver VI.
So, solved the problem, but the cause, I can't quite say.
Post CLD and when I'm a CLA when someone asks who I am, I can spin around in my chair and say "I am... the architect."

I have a problem with my Lenovo S930 Smartphone to fix urgently.
(MTK6582 Quad Core 1.3GHz Android 4.2)
The microphone is not working when making calls (so people don't hear me talking.)
But strangely the microphone is working perfectly when recording videos.
It seems to me like a application problem but I am no android specialist
Where can I get help ? What can I do ?

Go to settings>backup & reset...there should be a factory reset option.
*Note: Settings names and location are firmware build number dependent.
**Backup anything important first.

Why does caps lock light remains on when I turn off my macbook pro?

I had a problem recently come up with my MacBook Pro Early 2011 15 inch 2.0 ghz computer. The the caps lock light initiates at boot up. When I depress caps lock the light goes off but then only allows capital letters. All sybols associtated with depressing the cap button such as the "at" sign are screwed up. When I turn my computer off with safe mag attached, the caps light remains on. When I remove the safe mag, the caps light goes off. Any clues as to what is going on?

First of all, open the Apple menu (at the top left of the screen) > About this Mac, and tell me what OS X version you have.
If it's 10.7 or 10.8, check that all of those applications are closed when you turn off the computer. OS X Lion and Mountain Lion reopen the apps that were opened in the next startup. To disable this, just go to the Apple menu > Shut Down, untick "Reopen windows when logging back in", and turn off your computer, so they shouldn't open again

Not sure what 'goes crazy' means but it most likely should not do that. Try a reset... press the home and sleep/lock buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
Also try it plugged into another outlet (on another circuit) and/or try another charger.

Why does my iMac screen flicker only when using Safari? It doesn't happen with Firefox.

Yesterday, I had an issue with OS X, causing my screen to go black upon waking up my pc. Come to find out through the Apple Forum, that when the OS X was originally installed, it was not a complete install. Once I received the fix solution, completing the OS X install, (10.9.3) everything was back to normal, so it seemed.
Now, when using Safari, the whole page flickers and so forth, including the address bar. I never had problems with the screen prior to this. Also, it doe not occur when using Firefox.
Is there a fix for this? or an adjustment that can be made. This never happened prior to the OS X install, which was about 2 months ago.

Troubleshoot Safari extensions ..
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

Why does Airport Extreme stop working when I plug in a USB hard drive? The USB drive has its own power supply. I've tried isolating the hard drive from Airport using a powered USB hub to no avail.

The USB port on the AirPort Extreme is borderline as far as its ability to supply adequate power to a hard drive. Another way of saying the same thing is that this is not a high power USB port, like you would find on a computer.
Your 2TB drive likely requires a bit more current than the USB port on the AirPort Extreme can supply. It is also possible that the drive's firmware may not support a network USB connection....only a "local" connection to a computer. Check with Seagate support on that possibility.
Try using a powered USB hub with the 2TB drive....and make sure that the drive is formatted correctly in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) or FAT32....which the AirPort Extreme USB port can accept.

I am trying to build application that has a tab bar controller with two view and the first view contains a segmented control.
Based on the decision of the segmented control, I load the tableview. The table view has an instance of navigation Controller in which I have assigned the tableview controller as a rootview controller. When I click on any row of the table view, a new controller gets pushed on the table view. In my case, the new view does not show up on the screen, once the row is clicked. I used NSlog and checked that the views pushed on the stack are correct.
I read many threads here and saw that all of them use tabBarController and then it directly uses the navigationController and viewcontroller. Is this the only config that works ?
What if I want to have a tabBarController->tableViewController->NavigationController, isn't it possible? Can anyone please help?

The usual way to implement a table view drill-down would be to make the first table view (or the content view which includes it) the root view of the nav controller. No, there is no requirement to create a nav controller in any particular position of the view hierarchy. Unlike a tab controller, a nav controller need not be the root of the hierarchy (i.e. added directly to the key window). In fact you'll find several examples in the docs which show one or more nav controllers under some other controller.
there might be some problem with adjusting bar heights and etc though.
I'm not sure you proposed anything that would make it difficult to configure a table view. One nav controller issue that will impact table view position and size is the attempt to hide the nav bar which would otherwise appear above the table. We are on a 20mb broadband connection and there is around 20 people using computers at my work but when I start my Adobe Cloud Product update or when I try and download my Adobe Cloud Product everyone at my work looses their internet connection and so do I. But the update keeps downloading and installing.

I am sorry FooWingLi but the difficulties you are describing sounds more like a local network configuration issue. I would recommend working with your I.T. department to investigate this matter.

At the very start I made a silly mistake, tried to sort it out then decided to call it a day, responding to your remarks with the problem still in my head but feeling more and more tired.
Responded again to your comment earlier with the problem still in my head but not in front of me on the screen - however with a fresh head I just turned it all on, opened up PS and today could instantly see what was going on - Oops!
