Why does my video become longer after exporting from Flash?

I am a relative novice in Flash and working in CS5. When I test my file, it plays perfectly with the audio I embedded in my timeline. I tried a couple different compressions when exporting into a Quicktime file, but my video which is only 32 seconds long at 30 fps becomes 52 seconds long! The animation slows considerably, and yet the audio I embeded plays perfectly. Any advice as to how I can get it to match the "test movie" option so I can get this bad boy on YouTube?
PLEASE and THANK YOU!

Without knowing the overall innards of the timeline it's hard to suggest a strategy other than those already mentioned. A clean test worked fine so the audio doesn't seem to be the issue.
Can you explain what is "buggy" about the output from the converters? Again, those should only be used if there's code involved to facilitate the animation. They essentially run the SWF and attempt to capture each frame as an image while stitching them together into a video. It's a fairly simple thing to do so it's hard to go wrong unless the hardware on the computer isn't keeping up with the SWF frame rate.
Flash CS6 is not compaible (to my knowledge) with 10.8 so that works to your advantage. Perhaps you can try downloading a trial of Flash CS6 and see if your export issue goes away. It won't solve why CS5 is giving you issues but it does put the power in your hands to export it for now. If it still fails to export that's a pretty convincing argument that a gremlin on the timeline is monkeying around.

  • Why do my pictures become blurry after exporting from lightroom 5?

My pictures become somewhat blurry or not as sharp after I export them from lightroom 5. PLEASE HELP!!!

If you are looking at your exported pictures in preview.app than that is the culprit. It uses an extremely poor downscaling algorithm for displaying large images and will make every large image, no matter how sharp originally, display blurry. In preview you can hit command-0 (that's a zero) to make the image display 1:1 to see the actual detail. Make sure you have it's preferences in the images panel set to "Define 100% scale as 1 image pixel equals 1 screen pixel". I think in older Mac OS X versions, it was called something like ignore image dpi for display or so but I don't remember. You can also make sure to downscale (with correct output sharpening in the export panel) upon export from Lightroom. If the exported image is smaller than the display, Preview should display 1:1 by default upon opening.

  • Why does My video flicker grey after I insert a pic in a transition

Simple as my question title. Can't figure out why my video flickers grey after I insert a pic into a transition. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I actually found out its an issue that alot of folks are having and it has nothing to do with the "pic in transition thing I was talkin about." Sorry I'm no good with all the technical terms. But it's a gray flicker that appears in the playback, I found a thread that believed it was a graphics card issue or an issue with quicktime?

  • Why does my video stutter/glitch after I export it?

I have about a 1.5 hour video of a friend's wedding I recorded, I edited it in Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 (with some After Effects). I plan to burn the video to a DVD using iDVD. When I render the workarea to preview the video everything's fine, but when I do the final export the video stutters/glitches in some spots (some a lot worse than others). I tried multiple encoding options but I still haven't gotten it to stop.
Any suggestions? Is there an ideal exporting option I should be doing?
I'm not all that knowledgable with Premiere Pro so I could have easily done something wrong with either the sequence or export set up (so many options). Here are my sequence settings:
    HDV 720p
    1280x720
    24fps
    square pixels
My files in the video are multiple formats - .MOV, MP4 & AVI

I’m using apple intermediate codec 1920x 1080i60format.  Here is a small clip ofwhat it looks like

  • Why does Compressor take so long to export a 10 minute video clip from Final Cut Pro?

I've been trying export a 10 minute clip from Final Cut Pro. so it can be used with DVD Studio Pro and burned. However, the rendering process has taken 12 hours! The clip I'm exporting has minimal effects, no music, and is in 1080i 30fps. Does anyone know what's going on or what I can do to speed up the process?

First: How are you exporting? Are you using the Share feature or  Send to Compressor?
Second: You haven't said anything about your system configuration or really very much about your movie. What is its format… is it really 30fps or 29.97? Whatever it is, are the project settings identical to the clip properties, or were they changed?

  • Why does it take so long to export iMovie to Quicktime?

I just finished editing a 37 minute movie.  The movie includes:  video montage of the 1980s, music, and shot a clip using my Canon HDSLR.  But when I tried to export it, it says 72 hours time…

p.s.  I was able to export it to iDVD.  Then I tried importing from the DVD that I just made to YOUTUBE, but it only uploaded about 5 minutes of it. I've done so many research and followed all the specific settings, but nothing seems to work.  I figured, since some of the video clips are not HD and the video I shot was HD that it maybe a compatibility problem.  So I tried exporting not as an HD, but now it says 24 hours and it says 24 hours for the last three hours already.  If it worked on iDVD, how come it is not working on Quicktime Export?  I have been doing this for the last 5 days.  Help.

  • Why does Quicktime take so long to export?

Here's my perdicament: I'm wanting to remove some scenes using Quicktime 10 from a movie I ripped from DVD. Once I do this and go to export it, however, I am met with insanely long export times. I've searched all around and can't seem to find out how to get Quicktime to export a large file in a reasonable amount of time. Am I missing some sort of codec or plugin, or is Quicktime just not made to handle exporting large files?
    Technical info:
    OS X 10.9
    Quicktime 10.3
Video files are .mp4 and .m4v. I've tried ones converted from Handbrake and DVD Remaster.
    Thanks for your help!

You are using the wrong tool. Using QT X v10.3 invokes an export routine which, by definition, re-encodes the file. Since the H.264 codec is both highly efficient and context adaptive, it is not the fastest encoder on the block. If the source files you wish to edit/trim are alredy in M4V or MP4 file containers, then you should be using either the QT 7 Pro app or the free MPEG Streamclip app here. QT 7 Pro will allow you to edit the files and copy the edited content to a new MOV file container. MPEG Streamclip will allow you to copy the edited data to either an MP4 or MOV file container. If an M4V source file contains an AC3 secondary audio track and/or a chapter track, then the edited file should be copied to the MOV file container to retain the all of the data tracks. Since an MP4 file is limited to MPEG-4 or H.264 video with AAC audio, and MP4 source file will loose nothing but copying an M4V file with AC3 and/or chapter track will filter these tracks from the target MP4 container. Neither of these options actually exports the data so the time it takes to create the new file is the lenth of time it takes to copy the data to the new file container.

  • Why does the Video looks Pixelated after Burning DVD

In IDVD when I preview the video it looks great, when I burn the DVD it comes out very very pixelated. I've changed the preferences from Best Performance to Best Quality, and the project properties as well I've done the same. Does anyone know why this is happening?
I'm using 16:4 aspect ratio Video Size is 1280x720
    Help

How are you viewing the DVD you created - on a computer or on a TV?
In IDVD when I preview the video it looks great
The preview uses your original content on your hard drive and is simply designed to allow you to see if the 'flow' (sequences, menus, etc) are what you wanted.
In addition, although iDVD 'supports' HD, it only supports it in the context of current specifications - not the new HD DV world that has two competing HD DVD formats.
This means your 1280x720 content gets downsized and compressed to fit on a 720x480 DVD. The video must be 'expanded' to play on a HD set.
BTW, your aspect ratio is 16:9 and NOT 16:4. 16:4 would REALLY be widescreen! I haven't seen THAT spec yet.

  • Why is the video dropping frames after export?

    http://vimeo.com/65108558
The video in question is in the above link. I am using PP CS5 with a new iMac i7 32gb cuda enabled. When watching the clips in the timeline everything looks normal. This video was encoded to h.264 max render quality with the vbr at 50.
There has to be an issue with the export settings, as to why my exports looks like this. Any one who can help out would be greatly appreciated.

    Help!!!!

I am exporting to Quicktime Format, from Final Cut Pro HD.
I was wondering if it is the way I have captured the video? It is in Pro Cine mode, which I think makes it into 16:9, but I have used a 16:9 setting in my Final Cut Project.
What would be the best way to export?

  • My Video is Dark After Exporting from X

    Hello,
Does anybody know how to avoid this? I'm hoping to learn how to have a consistent look between what I see in FCP X and what my exports look like. For now, my exports are coming out darker. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm trying to share a wedding video I just finished editing.
    Thank you!
    Trey

    Hello Meg The Dog,
I'm viewing it as a quicktime movie. I exported H.264 as I believe it's called a master file. It really doesn't look too bad now that I loo again. However, I noticed the vimeo link I shared to Facebook definitely looked dark. I tried importing the .mov file back into FCP X but the file wouldn't play back.

  • Why does my macbook Pro pinwheel after reopening from sleep?

I have a 2.4 i5 MBP with 8GB Ram running 10.6.7.  It is attached to my work exchange server with authenicates my login and network.
My problem is that often, but not always, when i reopen the lid of my MBP awaking it from an overnight sleep, programs are unresponsive and even basic finder/OS functions are not available, like force quit or system preferences.  The pinwheel usually starts when I click the wifi icon in the top bar.  The only way out of this is to hard reset the machine.  Today I had to hard reset it twice because even after a reboot the machine was unresponsive for a long period of time. (20 minutes maybe).
Could this be an exchange problem?  I never have trouble connecting to the exchange while the computer is awake, and i am connected to the ethernet and wifi.
Help!  If I go to the IT guy he'll just want to wipe my mahcine rather than troubleshoot.

Shutdown the machine nightly instead of using sleep.
Try running all of OnyX cleaning and maintenance features and rebooting.
    http://www.titanium.free.fr/
Also use the Verify Preferences (check show only corrupted plist) and make  a not of which ones are bad, seek and move these to the desktop and reboot, they will automatically rebuild.
If everythign is fine, then move the bad plists to the Trash and empty.

  • HT4743 Why does it take so long to download from Apple TV?

I am just wondering why it takes so long to download a movie from Apple TV? It would only download if I was in Apple TV and it took over 4 hours. Is this normal?

    Speed is only one factor.
Are you using your ISPs DNS? (go into settings - network - DNS should be set to automatic)
Interference can also cause issues (and can present itself with no changes made by the user). To verify check istumbler.net or netstumbler
Sometimes it can be something on your ISPs end

  • Why does my computer keep freezing after waking from "sleeping"?

I'm running Lion (10.7.2) and frequently, not everytime, but often, the computer will freeze about 1-2 min after I've woken it from sleep – there are usually 1-2 applications open and then I can work for about a couple minutes and then it freezes and the only way to resolve it is to power it off w/ the power button and then restart.
I've got a late 2008 15" MacBook Pro, 2.4Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM – there is very little on the hard drive, but that seems irrelevant here anyway.
    Thanks for any tips/help!

  • Why does it take so long to go from one message to another, always says not responding

I will download all of the incoming messages fine, but to go from one message to another it always takes
forever, and in the top header it always comes up not responding.

Size of folder can cause slow performance.
As I do not know how you organise emails nor actual size of folders, can you do the following in the order stated..
'''1'''. Organise emails into various folders.
'''2'''. Archive messages that are older than eg: 3 months.
    To set up Archiving options:
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/archived-messages
I would suggest you Archive by month and year and select to maintain folder structure. This means these emails will still be visible via the Folder Pane, just in a different folder under 'Archives'. You can see my 'Archives folder in the image below. Archiving reduces the size of folders, so using less memory to open them.
'''3.''' Move all good emails from Inbox to other folders
'''4.''' Delete all unwanted emails in Inbox.
'''5.''' When inbox is empty - right click on Inbox folder and select 'Compact'.
Whilst it is not necessary to normally empty the Inbox prior to compacting, it is a good idea to do this if you are starting to get issues with that folder.
    Background info:
When you delete a email, it is 'marked as deleted' and from your point of view it is removed from eg: inbox and placed in 'Trash'/ 'deleted' folder. In reality, it is still in the Inbox taking up space and 'marked as deleted'.
Compacting removes 'marked as deleted' emails.
So, you should compact folders on a regular basis to remove those 'marked as deleted' emails. This includes Junk folder. The Inbox may need more compacting than other folders as it gets more activity.
    General useage:
Advisable to keep the Inbox low in email numbers and use as an inbox for incoming messages and not as a general storage for older mail.
I use an addon to help me know the size of my folders, which I have found to be very useful. See image below.
Extra folder Columns addon - I only enable the 'Size' column, so it doesn't use much space.
