Why does new 5s screen look like the old 4?

We just bought and backed up two new 5s replacing iphone 4. Why does one new 5s screen look like the old 4 iphone. One phone shows new version, one is still old. I have downloaded and backed up twice, same thing happens. Used icloud to backup.

Why does my Finder screen look like this?

When I open Finder by double-clicking on the "Macintosh HD" icon or by clicking the Finder icon on the Dock, it comes up with the left pane being much larger than it needs to be. I don't recall it doing this when I first got the computer, so I'm thinking that I've done something to mess it up. Here's a screenshot so you know what I'm talking about:

So every time I use Finder, I have to drag that middle bar over to the left some so that I can actually see more files & folders on the right side. Help!

I also used this method. Sometimes though I add one step - I open a new finder window, click one of the icons in the window (once) and then close the window with an apple-w or the red button. Usually does the trick.

My Firefox 4.0 does not look anything like the videos you show about the features of the new Firefox. My screen looks totally different than yours. Under this line I have File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, and Help. Below this line is a tab with Ask a Question Firefox Help and a +. My husbands screen looks identical to the orange Firefox Box in the upper left of screen. I would like my screen to look identical to the ones shown in your videos. I only have one version of Firefox 4.0 my husband does have the Firefox 4.0 plus the Beta version. How do I add the Beta version? I have Windows Vista running systems. Please help. Thank you

How to get 11.02 (26) to look like the old itunes

I can't figure out how to get 11.02 (26) to look like the old itunes, the new itunes is so cluttered. I hate it.

I think your JTable is editable and thats why it fails to work.
The above code will work onlyfor non editable table.
I think the default setting for editable table is like that.
Let some one else gives you the answer for editable one.

ITunes 11.1.5 looks like the old iTunes!

I have the latest version of iTunes (11.1.5) on my laptop, it's an old one (2009), only using it cause my PC broke, since I haven't used it in a while I had to update my iTunes, I did, but it looks like the old one, and I have no idea why... Tried checking for updates 1000 times, no luck!

IPhoto after upgrade still looks like the old one

So yea the thing is. after i upgraded iphoto to newest in Mavericks
it still looks the same. shouldent it be black now ?
mine is gray and looks like the one in Lion 10.7

Click on the full screen button in the upper right hand corner of iPhoto and you'll see what was shown in the Keynote address on the new MacBook Air. That was the full screen mode.

I downloaded firefox 5 but it looks like the old one - the blue line on top

i was using chrome 'cause i liked the artwork - the way it looked - silly but true - as it kept crashing i switched to firefox a couple of hours ago - i watched the video and read the info and everything and i was happy to see firefox has changed its looks - but no matter what theme or persona i've tried i still get the blue line on top like the old one - looks nothing like the pics you use in the personalize section... please help because i really dislike this look

The orange Firefox button shows by default only in Windows Vista and Windows 7.
You can turn the Firefox button on in XP:
*Menu Bar checked = Menu Bar on, Firefox button off
*Menu Bar un-checked = Menu Bar off, Firefox button on
*Turn Menu Bar on/off, click Menu Bar to check/un-check by doing one of the following:
**using the Menu Bar: View > Toolbars
**using Firefox button: Firefox button > Options > Toolbar Layout
**right-click an empty space (at the end of the tab bar)
**this toggles (automatically checks/un-checks) Menu Bar: HOLD down the ALT key while pressing the keyboard letters VTM

Why does my terminal prompt look like this?

Today I noticed that my Terminal prompt now looks like this:

The computer name is 'Travis', and always has been.
Hmmm...
Further investigating shows a computer by that name on the network with a different IP address. The DHCP server shows my IP address as associated with my computer name, 'Travis'.
So could this be an OS X network error where it's picking up the computer name from something like WINS or DNS and not updating it if the IP lease changes? And if so, why does it not simply use the given name specified by the user instead?
As far as the network is concerned, my computer name is 'Travis', as it should be.

Trying to install the Aim version of ichat on my new mac I only seem to be using the messages I want it to look like the old aim i used on my old mac

I used to run ichat though Aim, I just purchased a new mac mini and I am able to socialize then different wasy except Ichat through aim. It's very important that i use this because it's the only way to keep up with my professors, colleages and family members who all use ichat through aim

(Umm, I was only away a few days - Community Specialists are supposed to wait a week)
The Messages app is basically iChat with the iOS Messages app added on.
This adds the iMessages features. (essentially Apple's Own Messaging service like AIM or MSN but more like a system without a Buddy list)
If you happened to have Migrated your User account from your old Computer you may find that the System Preferences > Mail, Contact and Calendars pane has picked up on both emails and Names and IDs used in iChat and they may be active for Messages.
On first run Messages will tend to ask for an Apple ID to be "registered" with the iMessages service.
Once you have done this it will open the Main Messages window (It has become a Tabbed Chat and Interface combined purpose window that is "always On" by default.
As Braden has said you can add a Screen Name or Jabber ID or a Yahoo ID.
The Add Pane reduces the AIM Variants for MobileMe and @Mac.com to just AIM (add the Screen Name in Full) but retains the Google separation in Jabber.
The next issue is that by default Buddy Lists are not on Show.
Go to the Window Menu and use the "Buddies" or "CMD + 1" keystrokes.
This then is a combined window (Of all the Buddy List accounts such as Bonjour if enabled, Jabber/Google/Facebook or Yahoo or AIM (valid) ones.
In the Preferences > General Section there is a line about "Gather All Accounts into one List"
Unticking this will separate out the Buddy lists you have.
To be clear.
You will be asked for an Apple ID to "Register" for iMessages.
Other Account have Buddy Lists
By Default these appear in one List but can be separated.
As you may know certain Apple IDs ending in @mac.com and those linked to iCloud using @me.com and @icloud.com ending are also Valid AIM Screen Names.
If you use your Apple ID as your AIM Name then you will have to enter it as the Apple ID for iMessages and then in the Add Pane as the AIM name.
Main Window (Window Menu > Messages, CMD +0 )
Has an icon that looks like a square box and pencil.
This will add a "New Message" to the left.
The blue icon that appears top right can be used to select Contact (for iMessages) or Buddies.
Also Typing a Name in the "To" spot will bring up a list of Contacts and Buddies with indicators as to whether they are iMessages, AIM or Jabber or Yahoo potential connections.
Chats (Buddy lists) or Conversations (iMessages contacts) remain AIM to AIM, Jabber to Jabber or iMessages to iMessages.
If you have a Valid AIM Name you will have to add this to Messages to continue where you left off in iChat.

Why does new Safari screen appear almost every day?

Almost every day, I get a screen welcoming me to Safari, as if I had never used Safari before. This has been going on for about a week. In each case, I reset the settings, but the next day a new "Welcome" screen appears.

This happened to me, and I started paying really close attention to what I was doing . . .. I found that, being used to a wired Apple mouse, I got into the habit of tapping on the top of the mouse while waiting for the page to change. This sets off Zoom on the Magic Mouse.
So see if that's what's happening with you. I have to really watch it. I've gotten much better at not subconsciously tapping on the top, but it still happens every once in a great while. Otherwise, I love the Magic Mouse.
EDIT: If this is what's happening with you, you can undo it by tapping again on the top of the mouse. It's like a toggle.

I have updated to version 6 twice, I am using Windows XP, yet every time it states I am not updated, my browser looks like the old one? How can I get this fixed to look like the new browser version?

I still have all the menu options at top... (ex:File, Edit, View...ect) Looks like old version, Under Help it says version 6, yet when I open it, it states I am not updated..

Why does my 3d text look like garbage?

I have been trying out the repousse feature in cs5 and my extrusion is pixelated, rough, jagged, or any other word you can use to say garbage.
Here's what I've done:
Typed my text.
Selected: 3d > Repousse > Text Layer...
Left the settings alone and clicked okay.
This is what I get:
As you can see, it looks like something made in Microsoft Paint then resized fifty times.
I've tried my OpenGL settings in Basic, Normal, and Advanced with the same result in each.
My graphic card is an NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX in case it might be the problem.
Besides for that, I don't know what to try or what settings to adjust. Any ideas?

Looks like your Quality is still set to Interactive... try changing the Quality on the layer settings to "Ray Traced Final." Otherwise you will see that pixelated edge.

Why does text come out looking like junk?

I have a scanned copy of my college diploma and an award from Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. All the text on these documents come out looking like symbols and individual letters?

The top bar changed when I downloaded firefox 5.o how do I get it to look like the old style? It also makes all my pages really zoomed out so I have to zoom in to see them.

Also every time I visit a new page it makes it really small so that I have to zoom in to see it which is annoying because before I downloaded 5.0 it was fine.

Your original had tabs on top, the current one does not. Also I note a dark background, is that some none default theme or persona, or a side effect of system display changes ?
I have noted others comment about pages needing zooming, no idea why that happens on some sytems, possibly something to do with the font changes.
I do not notice much difference between versions screenshot attached Firefox 4 and Firefox 6.0a2 open adjacent to each other.

Can I change the view of the the new SMS conversation to look like the old one

You can downgrade your OS.
1. Delete the newer OS from your PC by going to Control Panel >Add/Remove Programs.
2. Then download and install the older version of the OS. BlackBerry Operating System Downloads
3. Install the older OS to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
4. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
5. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.
