Why does not sync folder work?

Hi,
Running Lightroom 5.5.
I am in folder Dress. I export picture Dress 001.nef to a jpg. To the same folder. It does not show up.
I then select sync folder, the jpg picture does not show up????
I go to show folder in explorer.. It show Dress 001.nef and Dress 001.jpg
So Dress 001.jpg is in folder Dress, but I can not get Lightroom to show it????

Hi,
I contacted Adode today. The fix, was in Perfs/Gen/ "Treat Jpeg files next to raw fies as separate photos"
That worked :-)

I have a problem, I have some pdf books which I have downloaded from internet, I have put them in the ibooks app, everything works perfectly, but if i want looking for a word, I cannot do it touching the word like normal books. Does not the dictionary work in pdf books in the ibooks app?

iBooks currently does not provide pdf books annotating or word look up. Lets hope they bring this feature in future versions.

before my version was Bluetooth stack for windows by toshiba v5.10.04, in windows vista, it does not work in voice communicate in windows live messenger but it work in skype.
now I update to new version v5.10.12(T), the problem still same with version 5.10.04

So it is a mono headset. Check your audio settings. Is the suitable audio driver assigned to your application (Bluetooth audio) ? Check also your microphone settings. Maybe it is muted.

Why does not my JarDiff work?

We are using JRE 1.6,but I have a question about versioning. When Versioning is used, does webstart still download the entire jar file if a new version is found on the web server. I think with incremental updates, you can have webstart only retrieve the updated classes but I am under the impression that with standard versioning, webstart will take the whole jar if a new version is found.
When java web start has version 1.0 and wants 1.2 it makes the request:
xxx.jar version-id 1.2 current-version-id 1.0
but I can't find "current-version-id 1.0" in requestquerystring, Why?

I have a JInternalFrame into a JDesktopPane. When I call setMaximizable(false); before to do setVisible(true); the Maximize button continues to appear and to work.
I tested with JDK6 + Linux FC5 + Windows2000.

Works fine in JDK1.4.2.
So is it a bug with:
a) your code
b) the JDK version
c) the platform

I have an af:table (RichTable) which displays rows of a table in a DB (through a viewobject).
The user can remove a row from the table with a drag and drop.
In the drop listener I actually do this:
1. get the binding to the row
2. perform a row.remove
3. do a commit (the record is deleted from the db table)
4. try to refresh the table with addPartialTarget() to match the content on the DB.
Everything works except point 4.
For some reasons sometimes the table displays old values, sometimes just few records, randomly.
What is the reason? How can I solve this.

I forgot to also tell that I had already tried to executeQury on the VO.
It seems that calling executeQuery on the Iterator solved the problem.
Anyway, is this a bug? Shouldn't addPartialTarget do the job?

Apple Mail STILL does NOT sync with GMAIL...even with Mavericks 10.9.2...why?

Apple MAIL still does not sync well with Gmail.
I have to close Apple Mail program down, re-load it, select "synchonize all accounts." Then MAYBE it will finally sync up. If not, I do this again and again. Then, randonmly it seems, it finally syncs.
My iOS devices sync instantly and accurately 100% of the time. When I pull down the inbox to update, it does so almost at once. Accurately.
WHY does Mavericks APPLE MAIL have so many issues STILL!? Worked fine before Mavericks? Is there a solution?

I'm not sure if you were seriously asking or just looking for a place to vent, but I've read a lot about this topic and so I'll give a brief reply.
Unfortunately, I've not seen a solution to this problem. Many people have had success with various "voodoo" solutions (re-starting or some variant) but there's really been no reliable, consistent answer to this problem. Most people seem to think that syncing was improved (but was not completely fixed) with the 10.9.2 update. The only "solution" I've seen is to move off of GMail.
As to WHY this is happening, well, again I've not seen anybody diagnose the problem in any scientific way, but the consensus seems to be that this problem started because Apple modified the way the Mail program stored and indexed a GMail account. Many people (including you) say "it worked fine before" and yes perhaps it did, but there was a big problem lurking.
As you might know, Google moved off the mail standard when they created their mail system. Now, this is a rant for another post, but IMO by doing that they should have provided code for 3rd-party mail clients to use their new mail system properly. But of course that would defeat any competitive advantage their own client had, so instead all they did was support an IMAP interface.
The problem is that when an email arrives at your GMail account, it is in your Inbox and also in the "All Mail" folder. This is not in concert with IMAP protocol where a message is only in one folder. So a naive IMAP email client downloads such a message twice. If a message happens to be in a several folders (tags in GMail-speak), an IMAP client downloads it several times. It might have looked like it was "working fine" to you, but for people who have many gigabytes of mail, this duplication is a big problem.
Likewise, if you search for an email, an unaware IMAP client will find it in multiple folders, and report back each copy. Anyway, you get the idea. Apple tried to improve their Mail client to support this, and unfortunately they have a big bug. Well, I say "big" because it really annoys me. Apparently it must be not be affecting a large percentage of Mavericks users or else they would have fixed it by now. Even more annoying, there's no "switch" to get Mail to act like a dumb IMAP client again. It appears to detect that it is talking to GMail and this new system kicks in automatically. (Perhaps this could be tricked by using some kind of proxy?)
So why is this not happening on iOS? Well, again, nobody knows for sure (and Apple isn't saying), but the theory is that they didn't implement this complex scheme on iOS (yet). Maybe they were first testing it out on Mavericks, or perhaps they didn't think it was worth the trouble because on iOS the Mail caches are typically much smaller. On a desktop machine, usually there is a copy of all your IMAP mail sitting on the disk. On a mobile device, only a few messages are kept around at any time.

Ok, here's what seems to have worked....but will need to monitor to see if this stays "stable".
1) As suggested by King_Penguin in another Discussion thread [apple support > iPad > Using iPad > Discussions] (https://discussions.apple.com/message/15911962#15911962), I turned off iPhoto startup on the iPhone. Then ejected iPhone from USB.
2) Reconnected iPhone via USB. iTunes did not start up. Started up iTunes manually. Went to Summary page for iPhone, unchecked the "open iTunes" option, selected APPLY button. Let iTunes run its application process.
3) Then checked the "open iTunes" option. Selected APPLY button. Got a dialog box asking if I wanted "iTunes Helper" to be installed; selected YES. Let iTunes run its application process. Ejected iPhone. Closed out iTunes. Reconnected iPhone via USB. AND iTunes STARTED UP AUTOMATICALLY (yay!). Let iTunes do some backup and sync'ing. Ejected iPhone. Closed out iTunes.
4) Connected iPad via USB (on computer). AND iTunes STARTED UP AUTOMATICALLY (yay!).
I don't know for sure that the iPhoto "automatic launch" was causing the interference, but it seems like the "uncheck/check" the "open iTunes" option seemed to re-set the problem that I encountered. I don't want to say for sure that this issue is fixed, but it appears to be under control for the moment.

Photo Stream does not sync when I export pics from Lightroom to Uploads folder.

I am using a PC. When I export pics from Adobe Lightroom to the "Uploads" folder iCloud does not sync with my phone. If I export pics from Adobe Lightroom to any other folder and then move them to the "Uploads" folder everything works like it should. Is this an iCloud glitch or is this me? Thanks in advance.

Updating PhotoStream automatically after making changes to pictures in Aperture is something I'd be interested in as well. As far as I know, this can't be done right now. Has anybody come up with a work around for the moment?

Why does not Apple allows iPhone to be sync by two different computers ?

I have a pc at home and one in office. But I can only sync it with my home pc. Why does not apple allow iPhones to be sync by atleats two pcs as having different pc for work and home is very general.

It is possible to sync from multiple libraries manually on other devices (iPads & iPods) so blanket statements that 'it's DRM' don't really make sense to me.
If it is the only reason why can't non DRM'd content be copied?
