Why does only a spinning gear appear on the 'Home' page of the Creative Cloud window?

When I click on the icon for Creative Cloud on the toolbar, it opens in the 'Home' window and a spinning gear appears. It does not disappear until I click on another page, such as 'Apps,' "Files,' etc.

This worked for me:
Open Finder, click on Go > Go to Folder. Type in ~/library and hit enter.
Open Application Support/Adobe folder and rename OOBE folder to OOBEold.
Click on Apple icon on the top left, select System Preferences
Choose the network that is currently connected to internet that can be Ethernet or
Airport(Wireless). Click on Advanced button and click Proxies Tab.
Under 'Select a Proxy server to Configure' Uncheck all the proxy check boxes, then uncheck 'Use Passive FTP Mode (PASV)'.
Hope this helps someone else.

    Try this.
Hold the shift key down and launch Safari.
    Best.

I have website that on the Home page and the home only. When opened in Chrome or Safari the last 3 menu buttons do not work. But work fine in Explorer and Firefox. Its weird. The site is baystatewiring.com see if you have the same problem. Does anyone have a idea?

Code errors could explain the problem.  You're missing a closing </div> tag for container.

  • Why does 4.0.1 not open Apple's home page ?

Of all pages on the net, Safari 4.0.1. refuses to open www.apple.com, which I find very ironic, as I saw that it was set as the Home Page, after I reset Safari, when I tried to resolve this. I have also trashed safari.plist, but to no avail. Firefox has no problem.
Bank pages and others open fine. I was wondering if anyone else has found this bizarre discrimination against the mother site, and/or has a fix? Strangely, Safari does open with specific Apple addresses like: http://discussions.apple.com/
Otherwise, there's always good old Firefox...

    Isn't this site wonderful!!!
For years I have nearly ALWAYS received a solution here! Thanks a million Hawaiian_Starman. Actually, for anyone else reading this, I found that going to System Preferences>Universal Access>Seeing> "assistive devices" was unchecked. But, having an inkling of Apple's ways, I checked it. Opened Safari, failed to open the Apple page, closed Safari, went back to to "assistive devices" and unchecked it. Opened Safari, typed in www.apple.com and kalabazaam!!! It opened! Your solution worked. How anyone found that beats me.

  • Why does a group of App Tabs used as home page "double" when Firefox is re-started?

I'm using Firefox 4, and have set a group of tabs (some pinned using App Tab, others as normal tabs) as my home page.
When I start Firefox, the tabs pinned using App Tab appear twice, as a pinned tab and as a normal tab.
Is there a setting I'm missing? Is it possible to have a group of pinned tabs + regular tabs as initial page?

The problem is that if you have, say, three pinned app tabs set as the home page, most (but not all) of the time when FF4 starts, it'll open up SIX tabs, the original three PLUS three identical (but unpinned) tabs. Personally, I have five, so my FF4 starts with TEN tabs - not what I want.
If I unpin the tabs, FF4 behaves as expected.
It happens with Ubuntu as well as Windows versions.

  • Each time I open Firefox, a previously visted website is open at the left side behind the home page, so the my home page is only partly filling the screen.

The "Sam's Club" website with my user ID and "remember me" box checked is the one that opens behind my homepage. This happens every time I open Firefox, but did not happen before I set up the Sam's Club sign in page.

Could you check whether you have dual homepages?
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > General
If you see more than one URL in the Home Page box, delete the extra one and the vertical bar that separates them.

    Any luck?
Edit: if the page appears in the sidebar, which also can be used to display bookmarks (Ctrl+b) or history (Ctrl+h), then it probably is caused by something other than your home page setting.

  • When i open my browser it does not go to the home page but the last page that I was on in my previous internet session. whats going on here?

Ok so I open my Firefox browser but when it opens it does not go to the homepage. It goes to the last page I visited in my previous internet session. My homepage is www.imdb.com but lets says I go to www.facebook.com and then i close the window; if I reopen firefox it will go to the facebook page and not the homepage. This happens all the time and it even happens after I restart the computer. It always goes to the last page I visited. Like this page for example where I posted a question. Once i close firefox, and then open it again, it will come to this page and not the homepage. Is this supposed to happen? It started happened a few weeks back. I reinstalled it and it still happens. thanks.

    Hi eaglerabbit,
This is a pretty easy fix. Just go to ''Tools > Options > General'' and change the preference for what Firefox should do on startup. You probably have it set to load tabs and pages from your previous session.
If that doesn't work, you should look at the Knowledge Base article [[Preferences are not saved]].
    Hopefully this helps!

Hi, the home page is displaying everything across the whole screen with the task bar intact, but when I get any other url displayed, it displays in in the middle of the page the size of a4, I have tried re-setting the fonts, all to no avail, any help would be appreciative. Many Thanks Mark

  • In Firefox 4, it keeps wanting to open two pages when I open the browser, the home page AND the last page visited in a separate tab. How can I get it to stop doing this?

At 1st I thought this was because I'd forgotten to properly close my last session, but then I realized that it happens every time.

This is of no help. Good bye Firefox! Will not be using this browser anymore.

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.
