By arrow do you mean the mouse pointer? What are you expecting it to do?

The curser has started to move across the screen without touching the track pad. There's no mouse connected. All networking connections are turned off. As the curser moves across the desktop, it opens new folders??? It will open as many as a dozen new folders before it stops at the left side of the screen and wouldn't you know it, the warranty expired last month! I'm getting the same thing. This is the second major problem I've had with Adobe Photoshop Elements 13. They just corrected the first problem where there was a "default printer" error coming up when printing. This is ridiculous.
My mouse freezes erratically when I click on the main drop down menu. It works okay when editing photos. The mouse just acts erratically on the Main drop down menus. My suspicion is the new update that fixed the default printer error has caused this issue. I am really hoping someone from Adobe is viewing this forum. It took 3 months for Adobe to fix the printer issue. I hope this isn't the case with this issue.

It was just a hunch that MircoNetFrame was causing the problem. I disabled it as you suggested, and I still have the problem.
I just changed under Tools>Options> General - had checked "ask me every time" under downloads, so instead of asking me, FF saved the download to I know not where. It no longer saves it to the desktop, leaving a duplicate in "my documents".
In windows, I have found unless one knows the entire name of the document, one can never find anything. It isn't listed under recent ''''''__. I can't recall the nomenclature, but the
capability is ridiculous. So, I don't know where that file I just downloaded is!
I downloaded a PDF file, but this happens with all DL's. It was so easy to have them all stacked in one place and I could recall
what I had and when I downloaded it easily.
Do you have any other suggestions other that going back to the old version of FF, which I would rather not do?

Check the setting for tracking speed. You'll find that in System Preferences > Mouse.
Note that tracking speed has variable accelleration associated with it; it responds to the speed of the mouse movement as well as the distance. When the tracking speed is set to fast, a slow movement of the mouse will yield an approximate one-to-one response from the cursor; but if you flick the mouse quickly, the cursor will fly across thre screen.
If you're using a non-Apple mouse, and it came with its own software, check in that control pane for a similar setting.

That watermark is put there by Flip4Mac. Apparently there was a bug in that extension, that was fixed in the latest version:

It is possible that the video file of this movie has become corrupted. If it was purchased from iTune, and is still available in the iTunes Store for your region, you can delete it and download it again from the store. See this article -

You can try cleaning the headphone jack. However, I suspect that th headphone jack needs replacement.
Apple will only exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price.

Why does importing a .Mov file almost triple it's file size?

I have a Kodak Zx1 which is not recognised by iMovie (Kodak's fault I assume as there are no drivers etc. available for the Mac).
To get my movies into iMovie I download them onto the Mac hard drive and then import them into iMovie 09 using "Import" - "Movies from the "file" menu. I then opt for "optimize video" - and "full-original size". The files import with no problems but almost triple in size...eg 29meg to 84meg....does anyone know why?
Incidentally not ticking the "optimize video" option does import the movie with an identical file size .... however.... the movie playback is very jerky in the movie viewer pane ...again, does anybody know why?

In simple terms, in order to edit your footage, iMovie needs a certain amount of data about each frame.
In the compressed form stored on the all the necessary data isn't present, so the missing pieces have to be filled back in to allow you to edit. This process increases the file size.
Once you've edited your movie it can then be re-compressed.

You need a minimum sustained 6mbps connection for HD content
If you are lower turn off HD via the settings

Flash uses the Adobe Media Converter to create the video output. If you select the "Use Media Converter" option after selecting to output to Quicktime, and, if your computer has the AVI codec installed, you should be able to export to an AVI file.

Why does (only)Nightly erase(delete) clipboard contents when I close it on my Win 8.1 64 bit HP desktop?

After using Nightly for several months on a new HP Win 8.1 64-bit All-in-One desktop, I've noticed that if I have copied anything from Nightly to the clipboard, it disappears when Nightly is closed, and is not available to be pasted into any application. This includes graphics and text. I just recently realized that Nightly was the culprit when copying from the address bar before closing Nightly, in order to paste the location into Chrome or Firefox - it was gone! A little experimenting verified that it was the act of closing Nightly which cleaned out the clipboard - I just verified by copying this message, and pasting it into a text file, then closing Nightly only to find the clipboard empty when attempting to re-paste the same info into the same text file - gone! I find this uncomfortably reminiscent of past Windows "features" which drove us buggy! ;)

This happens because you run Firefox in Private Browsing mode.
