Why does photo application open each time I sync Iphone to Itunes.

got a question, I have taken a few pictures on my iphone already.
everytime I plug my iphone into my mac via usb it syncs and automatically opens up the photo application on my mac. Is there any way to not have it do this each time?

It's opening because the computer sees the iPhone as a camera and there are pictures in your camera roll. You can change the setting in iPhoto as noted above, but if you do, remember to open iPhoto occasionally and download the photos to your photo library so you don't lose them if something happens to your phone.

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Why does my genius update every time i sync

Every time i connect my iphone to itunes and sync it, at the end of the sync process on step 6 of 6 it says "syncing genius data copying 266 items to iphone"
This is not really an issue, except if when it finishes the sync, and i click the sync button again it will go through the whole process again as if it has done nothing on the previous sync.
The only other clue i have to this is that i have recently upgraded from an iphone 3GS to the new iphone 4 S, but carried on using the same itunes library for the new phone.
Any help would be appreciated.

Since today, everytime I click on a folder or try using the Finder, the color wheel appears, takes a few seconds, then relaunches the finder. However, I can't access any of my files through Finder. I can access them using any program, but not with the Finder.
I have tried creating a dummy account, but it has the same problem. I have tried opening folders using the Terminal command open but the Finder crashes again. I have also tried resetting my Finder preferences but without success.
Any help to resolve this issue would be appreciated.

are you able to run a disk verify ? if so, dose it report any errors?
Another option might be open the console; and see if any error message pops up when the finder crashes.

As You provide near zero info - only wild guesses are possibly
• iMovie Pref. file got corrupted (most common origins to trouble)
• material (Video/Codec) used doesn't function OK with iMovie e.g. H.264 etc
• Repair Permissions - sometimes helps
• FREE SPACE - on Start-Up (Mac OS) Hard Disk are to low - I never go under 25Gb free space
But there are zillions of possibly culprits - so without very specific info I guess that it's very hard to be of much help.
My main trouble shooting list follows.
When iMovie doesn't work as intended this can be due to a lot of reasons
• iMovie Pref files got corrupted - trash it/they and iMovie makes new and error free one's
• Creating a new User-Account and log into this - forces iMovie to create all pref. files new and error free
• Event or Project got corrupted - try to make a copy and repair
• a codec is used that doesn't work
• problem in iMovie Cache folder - trash Cache.mov and Cache.plist
• version miss match of QuickTime Player / iMovie / iDVD
• preferences are wrong - Repair Preferences
• other hard disk problem - Repair Hard Disk (Disk Util tool - but start Mac from ext HD or DVD)
• External hard disks - MUST BE - Mac OS Extended (hfs) formatted to work with Video
( UNIX/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange - works for most other things - but not for Video )
• USB-flash-memories do not work
• Net-work connected hard disks - do not work
• iPhoto Library got problems - let iPhoto select another one or repair it. Re-build this first then try to re-start iMovie.
This You do by
_ close iPhoto
_ on start up of iPhoto - Keep {cmd and alt-keys down}
_ now select all five options presented
_ WAIT a long long time
• free space on Start-Up (Mac OS) hard disk to low (<1Gb) - I never go under 25Gb free space for SD-Video (4-5 times more for HD)
• external devices interferes - turn off Mac - disconnect all of them and - Start up again and re-try
• GarageBand fix - start GB - play a few notes - Close it again and now try iMovie
• Screen must be set to million-colors
• Third-party plug-ins doesn't work OK
• Run "Cache Out X", clear out all caches and restarts the Mac
• Let Your Mac be turned on during one night. At about midnight there is a set of maintenance programs that runs and tidying up. This might help
• Turn off Your Mac - and disconnect Mains - for about 20-30 minutes - at least this resets the FireWire port.
• In QuickTime - DivX, 3ivx codec, Flip4Mac, Perian etc - might be problematic - temporarily move them out and re-try
(I deleted the file "3ivxVideoCodec.component" located in Mac HD/Library/Quicktime and this resolved my issue.)

HELP! Each time I sync my iPad photos, my previous albums' organization scrambles (the order I've arranged my photo albums scrambles).
THIS IS WHAT I DO: On my iPad, I tap the PHOTOS app, then tap ALBUMS to see each of the albums I've created. I then tap EDIT in the upper right hand corner. I then painstakingly try to place all my many albums in the order that I'd like them to remain on my iPad. Then I tap DONE in the upper right hand corner.
However, EVERY TIME I sync my iPad, this order completely scrambles back to what I can only decifer is the time-line (order by calendar date) in which I created the albums. Aargh! So frustrating!
I am a Fine Artist (camille-engel.com)... I use my iPad primarily for work. I'd like my ART photos remain at the top for easy, quick access... and I'd like my 'family" & 'personal' photos to be at the bottom. This should be how the iPad photos app should function. Am I doing something wrong?

Why no tleave them spread out I hear you ask... That is not practicable. I then have 12 pages to scan rather than just two. I need a solution... :-P

I realize this is an old thread but I'm having the same problem after upgrading my software today. Kinda surprised there are no solutions at all with 88 views. I have an iPod touch btw, not an iPhone, but it prob wouldn't make much difference in this case.
The thing is, I get the screen(s) looking EXACTLY as I want on iTunes...just perfect (which is what I believe everyone else is experiencing as well). When we go to sync tho, it does whatever it wants to do. After syncing, all the apps are there, it's just that for me, it puts them in some type of random order. I have 72 apps and this is absolutely ridiculous!

From where. I don't think you can keep it mininmized when importing because if it runs into a duplicate it will present a warning window for you to make a decision in. Therefore, it will always be open when importing.

Why does photo booth stop filming at a random time?

I have 60 gigs available, so storage isn't an issue.
I'll film a video, say, 5 minutes, and then when I click the stop button, the video will show up as 36 seconds, or 54 seconds. It will only record an arbitrary amount of the video, not the whole thing. Occasionally, it records the whole video. Other times, it randomly shuts off. What is the deal? I am about to toss my computer out a window!
