Why does photo booth stop filming at a random time?
I have 60 gigs available, so storage isn't an issue.
I'll film a video, say, 5 minutes, and then when I click the stop button, the video will show up as 36 seconds, or 54 seconds. It will only record an arbitrary amount of the video, not the whole thing. Occasionally, it records the whole video. Other times, it randomly shuts off. What is the deal? I am about to toss my computer out a window!

Im trying to record short videos using photobooth about 3 mins long. but when i record. more than half the time it will say that it is recording the whole thing
but when i stop the recording, only about fraction of what i wanted will be there.
Ex. i just recorded about 3m 30sec of video...and when i stopped it....only 32 seconds of video was recorded.....

Why does Photo Booth make my camera echo every time I'm video chatting?
When I am Video Chatting with other people, my camera all of a sudden starts acting weird and echoy. Meaning, every time I dance or get up, it act not good. Please help me with this solution?

why does photo booth cut my videos short? It is annoying as ****. I want to make at least a 2 minute video, but cuts off at 20 seconds or some other random and rediculously short time, sometimes 1 or 2 seconds!!!!! What the ****?!

why does my computer play strange music at random times and how can I stop it? The music isn't anything on my machine and the only way I can switch it off is to reboot. Can anyone advise me please. It's driving me nuts ... I don't even like the music it's playing!
What apps are open and are you really still only on 10.5.1??????? At the very least please update your profile, also please remember to post more information. I suspect it's something going on with just your user account. You can verify that by creating another user account (call it TEST ACCOUNT) and log into that account and test. Once this has been verified then you will need to check which apps are running to determine what is causing your issue.

Why does Photo Booth provide 'mirror' images?
I took a number of pictures of my friends with Photo Booth and realised that something was wrong. When I looked closer I noticed that all the photos had been reversed and were in fact mirror images of the actual person. Why is this? I had to use the "Flip Photo" command to make them normal. I would suppose this is how the original iSight works as well although I have never tried it.
Then I noticed that there is an "Auto flip all photos" command, which of course is what I choose. But it is beyond me why this is not the default in the first place.
When you use a camera with a timer on it to take your picture, it does not give you a mirror image, it provides you with the true image. iSight should also IMHO.
GriffIt's because it's more natural for people to see themselves in a mirror while getting ready for the picture. Thus if they lift their right hand the hand on the right side of the screen would appear to rise. If the picture suddenly flipped after taking the picture, this could be confusing, which is why it isn't the default, but simply an option.

Whenever I make a video or start one it keeps closing and showing this message about That is closed unexepectly and I should report, ignore, reopen. Why does this keep happening/

Why does photo booth say that there is no camera connected?
When i open photobooth or Facetime, or any other programe to use my inbuilt camera it comes up with "no camera connected".
One day it was working, i had no accidents that i recall that would have caused this to happen and there are no other issues just this!

ISight - Photo Booth stops recording silently when recording video.
Hello,
I often use iSight and Photo Booth to record videos, and I've observed this error happens all the times:
For example I record a 5 minutes video, (I stop Photo Booth at the time 5:00), but then when I look again at the file, it's less than 5 minutes. This happens 8 out of 10 times of recording, and it stops silently at a random time, means photo booth does not return to the waiting mode until I press the stop button.
Does anyone have this problem? Please help. Thanks in advance.I must agree I am having a very similar problem myself. In my case, for example, I use photobooth to record videos requiring audio and video (acoustic guitar) and I will record one video which will be fine with audio, but randomly, the next video I record will not have any audio whatsoever, just a video of me playing my guitar. I'm sure other people with this problem know how frustrating it is, especially since I just tried to record an instrumental piece about 13 minutes only to find that photobooth randomly decided not to record audio this time....is there any solution for this?

Why is "photo booth" giving a message saying "no camera attached" when it has a web cam? it did work okay when I bought the computer six months ago?
I have already copied my photographs to the a library manager but when I tried to reuse iphoto and import the photos back into iphoto, it would not let me.
You can't "copy" your photos to the "library manager", there is just no way to any such thing.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

While watching an iTunes movie from my Apple TV, why does my movie stop playing at the 1 hour mark? I'm assuming I have a setting causing this to happen, but I have no idea what setting needs to be changed. Can someone help me?
It's right at an hour (consistently), but the computer goes to sleep prior to that. It's as if iTunes goes to sleep. Also, it wasn't always this way. Originally, the movies played through without interruption. At some point, I guess a setting was changed, and now I only get an hour. Also. My energy settings are set to go to sleep at 10 minutes.

Might be corrupted preferences (.plist)
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.image_Capture.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.image_Capture.plist file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac and your scanner and try scanning an image.
