Win 7/ 64bit. When I click on the options tab for an addon the box freezes up. The X in the upper right will not work. I have to to go windows task manager to end the box. But the firefox browser works fine. Its only when I hit the options tab for an addon. I can disable, install, or uninstall with no problems.

When I click on a mailto: link, Firefox freezes. This is new for me as of 3.6.14 (not sure if it existed in prior versions because I hadn't clicked a mailto: in a while).

90% of the time, when I click on one of the 10 pinned tabs to open it, a 2nd Firefox window opens up with the tab I clicked on, thus removing it from the original Firefox page (now only 9 pinned tabs). In other words, I have to minimize the 2nd window with the one tab and move it back to the original Firefox page (which then closes out the 2nd window). This is VERY VERY annoying~!

Make sure that you do not drag a tab slightly down in the browser window while clicking.
Current Firefox versions have a feature called tear-off tabs.<br />
You can detach a tab from the current window and open it in a new window by dragging a tab in the browser window.<br />
You can drag that tab back to the tab bar in the original window to undo that detaching.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

The icons in the Dock are aliases. If iPhoto isn't launching from the dock the alias may be broken. What you can do is first test to if iPhoto is working by launching the app from the Applications folder. Once you have determined iPhoto is OK then remove the old Dock icon by holding it down and dragging it to the desktop, it will disappear in a puff of smoke. Then go to the Applications folder and drag the iPhoto icon to the Dock and test it.

Everything else in the itunes software seems to be working okay. The problem is in the part where you sync the newly purchased apps. The apps will all be blank that are downloaded and that part of the software crashes itunes or freezes up. I can get out of itunes okay after the freeze up, but it just stops me from syncing anything that I have newly added. If anyone has had this problem before or knows someone that has, please let me know how I can fix it. I have uninstalled and reloaded itunes 4 or 5 times, but the problem is still there. I might add that I have been using itunes and purchasing apps for 2 to 3 years without any problems. HELP.

Why does Google analytics freeze up when I go to Kijiji?

I'm using a MiniMac with O.S. 10.4.11. It's an old 1.42 Ghz. pre-Intel chip. I'm using Firefox 3.6.6, and when I attempt to go to Kijiji, for no reason whatsoever, Google analytics shows up at the bottom left of my screen, and the load bar shows about 3/4's of being done. And that's where it freezes COMPLETELY. The existing blue line on the load bar doesn't even have the auger turning, indicating that it's working. Please fix, but whatever you do, don't tell me I've got a worm, or something. I'm sure it's just Google's spyware screwing up.

Hello,
When I click on "Show the Project Library" on Final Cut Pro X program, my computer unexpectedly quits.
I just purchased an iMac 27in screen, (16G Ram) and all the features suggested by the Apple representative to run Final Cut Pro X.
The program was working well for about a week. Afterward, I downloaded all my iMovie projects. I'm wondering if that has created this problem.
Any suggestions as to what the solution might be? Thanks.

Over the year I've used FCPX, it' s gone through "spells" where specific actions would crash it - much as you describe. Trashing preferences has nearly always fixed things. Several times, when it did not, I reinstalled the app.
However, I've never imported an iMovie project so I can't give any first hand advice. It will be interesting to see whether FCPX opens if it doesn't see those projects. (per Tom Wolsky's advice.)

RSRT: Getting this error when I click on u0093Performance Infou0094 tab for report

I have two queries coming odd a particular cube. There were some performance issues so in RSRT, Properties, I checked the delta cache update box and the reports significantly improved their performance.
Later, for both reports, in RSRT, Performance Info fails to run and gives error:
Different hierarchies are used for characteristic 0DISTR_CHAN
Even reversing above change in Properties, still gives same error message when I try to go into the Performance Info tab.

typically, when i click on the "Performance info.", it is supposed to have executed and provide some performance details on the query.
At this moment, the error message shows at the bottom of the screen and nothing else happens.

i updated it to 10.8.1 . At that time there was no problem…
when i updated it to 10.8.2 a box started popping up….it says "Parental Controls restricts access to secure websites. To add this website to your approved list, click Add Website. To do this, you need an administrator password."
it pops up ever time i am connected to the internet…..and in every application like mail , iPhoto , flutter etc.

Why does this constantly freeze up when I am in the middle of a game?

I was in the middle of playing a yahtzee game and all of a sudden the game froze up? WHY? I realize this is a free service, but come on guys get it together! Or I'll find a different internet provider.

There are a variety of reasons this may happen. Here are the first things you might try to correct that problem:
1. Quit the app. Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset your iPhone. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.
2. If that didn't work quite the app again and then delete the app. I'm assuming that the problematic app is not one of the default apps that came on the iPhone. To delete an app tap and hold on the app until it begins to juggle and displays an X. Tap on the X and confirm that you want to delete the app. Then download the app again from the app store. Be sure you back up your data first. You will not be charged to download the app again so long as you are using the same Apple ID that you used to download it originally.
3. If those attempts still failed contact the developer of the app to determine if they are aware of the problem and whether they have a fix planned for it.

I only run itunes to backup my ipad just before letting it install a new os version, but every time, i try to use the down arrow on the ipad button it ejects my ipad. isn't this weird?

I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the issue you are describing. If you are talking about the smaller button with an underlined triangle inside of the larger iPad button in iTunes, that is normal behavior; that is the Eject icon used on Mac computers and in other Apple software.
