Why does Reader 9 not find Reader X as an update?

When I check for updates through Reader 9 I am told that "No Updates Available". Reader X has been out for months now, so why does Adobe's own product not recognize their own update? It is so infuriating that these kinds of basic things can never simply be problem free.

Adobe Reader X in not an update to Adobe Reader 9, its an upgrade version of Adobe Reader 9
Updates apply to the same version, for example :
1) Latest update for Adobe Reader 9 is 9.4
2) Latest Update for Adobe Reader 10 is 10.0.1

Why does reader freeze while opening some pdf files and others open instantaneously?

I use pdf files created from CamScanner and shared from DropBox. In DropBox, many times (over 50%) while opening the PDF the process freezes and the error message is Adobe Reader is not responding. If you close the program, and re-open the file, it opens fine. I have saved these files to my computer and the same issue occurs. The files are 100-500kb, so I do not think size is the issue. I have reinstalled Reader (11.1.10) and there is no improvement.

Why does "enclosing folder" not work from the SEARCH window?

I do a command+F search.
Command+2 to view as list rather than groups
and then sort by date modified.
When I find the file/folder I want I'd really like to do a command+[up arrow] which in the GO menu is a valid command.

I'm not using spotlight, just the good old command+F
This used to work in Sherlock 1 [using command+E] and when you opened the enclosing window, the file was already hi-lighted, faster to locate and saved mousing.

You'll note that in the Go menu that command is grayed out meaning it's not active in the search results display.
If you upgrad to Leopard then you can go to the Finder's View menu and select "Show Path Bar." The full path to any selected item in the Finder's window will be displayed in a path bar in the lower portion of the window. You can then double-click on any displayed folder to open a window on that folder.

IE uses a different version of Flash than other browsers use. You need to install the Plugin version of Flash for Firefox.
1.Download the Flash setup file from here:

Save it to your Desktop. 
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit 
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed,

3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.

BTW- Your profile shows you have iOS 6.1.4 installed. The max iOS for an iPad is 6.1.3. iOS 6.1.4 is for iPhones only.

Both you and the recipient have to have active data connections, and both devices have to have iOS 5 or higher to be able to use iMessage. Also, they both have to have iMessage activated. If that is already the case, there is a possiblility that iMessage is down. It has gone up and down several times in the past week. Why does flash player not work with fcebook? Whenever I wish to view a video, I get the message that i need to upgrade my flash player. Then no matter how often I download and install flash player I still get the message that I need to upgrade my flash player. When I go check which version I have, I always get the message that I have the most current one. I run Mozilla Firefox with Windows. I don't know anything else.

This means you don't have the latest version installed. Update to 11.9.900.117, and Firefox will allow it: Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

Why does front row not have simple organization?

I currently have a hard drive hooked into my macmini which is hooked up to my TV. On my hard drive I have over 1000 movies, all purchased through iTunes. However when I use front row and i goto the movie section, I have to scroll through every movie to get to the one I want. There's no way to scroll by letter, only one by one. This is horrible and takes forever. Can apple do an update that makes the right button on the apple remote for scrolling letter by letter. For example, you click the right button to goto movies starting with B, C, D, E, F, etc. Then the down button for one by one scrolling. Also, why does front row not have genres? AppleTV does. Why not incorporate that into front row? Think, Apple, Think.

You can have sub-folders in the Movies folder and arrange your movies alphabetically that way.

2. updated to battery 1.2
3. took off the "duck" plug and used the macbook pro cord that was provided
4. checked and cleaned the pins on the magsafe

The icons in the Dock are aliases. If iPhoto isn't launching from the dock the alias may be broken. What you can do is first test to if iPhoto is working by launching the app from the Applications folder. Once you have determined iPhoto is OK then remove the old Dock icon by holding it down and dragging it to the desktop, it will disappear in a puff of smoke. Then go to the Applications folder and drag the iPhoto icon to the Dock and test it.

I purchased the CS5 Adobe Production Premium. I have been working in Premiere and I have been learning about how to use Dynamic Link. I want to be able to alter clips in After Effects and bring them back and forth into Premiere. When I go to File/ Adobe Dynamic Link/New After Effect Composition, I get this message:
Adobe Dynamic Link Requires Adobe Production Premium.
Since I own production premium, I do not know why I am getting this message. I have reinstalled the CS5 Production Premium Software twice and it still gives me the same message. What can I do to get Dynamic Link Working.
