Why does RoboHelp 8.0.2 randomly insert javascript into all WebHelp topics?

RH can randomly insert javascript into your project (can be in the <head> tag or <body> tag in all topics in the project) which evidences itself with red boxes in the editing pane, and duplicate breadcrumb links in the WebHelp output. Even if you clear the Add Breadcrumbs Links checkbox while setting your project's properties, you will still have some breadcrumbs in various topics (RH randomly assigns breadcrumbs to topics with no logic that I can see). After deleting all instances of the red boxes, RH inserted javascript again in the next compile.
When you click the HTML tab you will see something similar to the following (the javascript has been highlighted):
I was able to recover to a previous version (without RH's random destruction) b/c I used SVN, but I now have zero confidence in RH's stability. I definitely did not insert the above javascript into my project. I kept the default setting for the compiled help to go to the subfolder of the help system (i.e., !SSL!, WebHelp). Does anyone know why this happened?

I'm not sure if this is the same issue, but it sounds close enough that I'd like to post it here...
Issue
I was either getting topic breadcrumbs in all of my topics (when they shouldn't have been), or getting "double" breadcrumbs (one stacked on top of the other) when I only should have had one breadcrumb. However, I didn't want any!
Background
By the time I had inherited this RH project (WebHelp), it had been worked on by at least three people over five years, using older (pre-9.0) versions of RH. I had just loaded RH ver. 9 when I took it over.
Solution
I noticed that there was a "breadcrumb" placeholder in the master page (xxxxx.htt) of the project. In the Single Source tab, when I right-clicked on WebHelp (Primary Output), and did not check the "Add breadcrumbs links" under the Navigation pane, I only saw one breadcrumb link in my generated output. When I checked the "Add breadcrumbs links", I saw two breadcrumb links in my generated output. When I deleted the "breadcrumb" placeholder in the master page (xxxxx.htt) of the project and did not check the "Add breadcrumbs links" under the Navigation pane in the WebHelp (Primary Output), then I finally saw no breadcrumbs in my generated output. Likewise, when the "Add breadcrumbs links" was checked, one breadcrumb was generated in the topic.
Lessons Learned
I suspect that either an earlier version of RH did not have this "Add breadcrumbs links" under the Navigation pane when you generated output (which mean that an earlier RH author had to use the breadcrumbs via the "placeholder" feature on the master page), or someone just didn't know how to implement the "breadcrumbs" feature correctly. In either case, I'm a little wiser from all of this!

Can i suggest you spend more time explaining the situation, what you are doing, what has been done recently, etc? One sketchy line is not much help.
That said, i will guess that yu are trying to turn on your mac, and it gve you that message, immediately.
It means that soemthing has caused it to not recognize your hard disk and the OSX software on it. It could be:
1. a dmaaged disk
2. corrupted software
3. a firmware bug
4. a hardware failure
Most likely the software has been corrupted at least slightly.
The best first step is to boot from your original CD and run disk diagnostics/ repairs on the hard drive.
I hope that fixes it.
Then go buy an external bootabl hard drive and begin making complete, bootable backups on weekly basis.

That happens sometimes.
Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory. The the 3G and 4G only has 256 MB of memory. The 5G 512 MB, This does not work for 1G and 2G
Next try
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Why does RoboHelp 8 crash when compiling merged HTML help after deleting a child project in TOC? I would be grateful for any assistance.
Here's the situation:
-- I recently upgraded from RoboHelp X5 to RoboHelp 8. I upgraded my projects to RoboHelp 8 projects.
-- One large help system I manage is built such that there is one master project and about 25 child projects. Each of these is its own item in the master project TOC.
-- In RoboHelp X5 I never had any trouble deleting these.
-- However now in RoboHelp 8, whenever I delete one (by opening TOC pod, right-clicking on item in question, and clicking Delete), and proceed to "Generate Primary Layout" (MS HTML Help), the generation/compilation process proceeds as far as "Generating full-text search data" and then the whole program crashes!
Am I doing something wrong? Is there a bug in the software? I have installed patches 8.0.1 and 8.0.2.
Once again, I thank you in advance for any pointers.

I had the exact same problem with my iPhone 4. I would select the song I was wanting to play and it would load for a second, then simply shuffle to the next. It did this with almost my entire iPod. So, I synced it with my computer and it's copy of my music, and presto, my music played perfectly. So, I would reccomend trying that. Hope this helped!!

'Cuz that's what mail merges do. They create multiple documents based on the parent doc and all the names/addresses in your data tables.

Which is your OS version ?
Your screen is 1920 by 1080 pixels.
The problem appeared after having worked normally.
When we select a picture from the organizer (album) and click on the edit button. The editor software changes the entire computer resolution from 1920 x 1080 to 640 x 480 (very unusable).
That's not clear for me: did you click on the 'Edit' button on the bottom right part of the organizer, or did you use the menu or the right click popup menu to open the editor? In the second case, you are in the editor workspace.
We tried right clicking on the Elements 13 icon, select properties and under compatibility we made sure that "run in 640 x 480 screen resolution" was de-selected, and it was. Cannot find any properties window for the editor?
The editor has its properties in the 'Edit/preferences' menu, but there is nothing about resolution there.
Just to be sure : when you are in the organizer with the left 'Folders' panel shown, you highlight one of those pictures to edit. Then you right click and choose to "go to folder". Do the images are shown as 'offline' ? If that is the case, the original are on an external drive which is not connected, and what you are seeing is a 'preview' copy on your computer with 640 x 480 resolution.

That is unfortunately a bug only in Firefox 5 and will be fixed in Firefox 6 (Aug).

Just to clarify: They are never spam websites. They may be 3 of the same website, but it is always random. I only browse safe websites. This usually happens while Stumbling (StumbleUpon).

I have seen this question come up a lot and Apple have failed to acknowledge it. It's certainly common enough to be a known problem, so why are they ignoring it?

This is happening because of bad ads on a site that you are visiting. These ads are designed to randomly redirect mobile device users to other sites or the App Store if the link is to an App. It has nothing to do with your iPad. The random nature of the re-directs is intended to confuse the user and keep this garbage below the radar.
Turning OFF Javascript bypasses this problem because the mechanism implementing the redirects uses Javascript. This is not really a solution, however, because turning Off Javascript affects all sites and will certainly cause problems.
Complain to the web site to get these ads removed. They may be unaware of the problem.
There is no problem with your iPad.

Generally? it's like when a computer crashes. the operating system gets over whelmed and shuts down or reboots.
Sometimes it's not that big of a deal, other times it may be caused by an app with a glitch or error. Sometimes your iPad is fine, but the app has an error in it.
One thing to do is to do a reset. hold down the sleep and home button for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple, let it reboot. Often if there's any sort of glitch or 'oops' the reset and reboot will allow the iPad's memory to clear and resolve the issue.

I think maybe the video playback catches up with the download and until the download resumes, the video is stopping. Just a guess at this point.
