Why does SCHDNEGACTION scheduler job have high CPU usage?
Hi,
In my embeded device(double CPU 1.5 G HZ ) SCHDNEGACTION scheduler job has 90% CPU usage. Why does the scheduler job have so high CPU usage? What is the job doing for?
Hi,
This job is not created by the scheduler. You will have to find out what component creates the job and what exactly it does to figure out why it is using high cpu and what would be the effects of disabling it (which would prevent it from running).
Hope this helps,
Ravi.

Our cisco 7206G2 BRAS have High CPU usage!!
Hi All,
i have high cpu utalization 70% usage with my BRAS 7206 while the online PPPoVPDN customers not more than 1200 online concurrent sessions
i revised the configuration but i coudn't found the cause of problem.
i monitord that when i tried to traceroute from ADSL client router any of the servers ip address behind servers network , it seems the packet go out through DEFAULT-ROUTE route map which results the following:
C:\Users\jit>tracert x.x.176.194
Tracing route to proxy.ctx.com [x.x.176.194]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms x.x.178.129
2 3 ms <1 ms <1 ms x.x.176.1
3 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms z.z.66.129
4 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms z.z.244.66.130
5 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms pr.ctx.com [x.x.176.194]

while the packet should go direct as the following:
C:\Users\jit>tracert x.x.176.194
Tracing route to pr.ctx.com [x.x.176.194]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms x.x.178.129
2 13 ms 31 ms 31 ms x.x.176.1
3 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms pr.ctx.com [x.x.176.194]
Trace complete.
also i have heavy logs on console as the following:

I have high cpu usage due the opendirectoryd activity
Since I have installed Mavericks, my CPU usage is at a constant level of almost 100%,
therefore the fans are speeding up en my batteries runs down very fast.
Before this I had Lion, and everything was running smooth.
In acitivity moinitor I have seen the following activities: opendirectoryd consuming all of my cpu usage.
Also, I can't turn WiFi off, it will automatically turn on immediately.
But even though I closed all my other programs in acitity monitor, this one keeps running and if I force quit it, it opens up again in a second.
When I take a look at my logs there seems to be a major problem:

I have a MacBook Pro form late 2011,
2.4GHz Intel i5 with 4GB RAM and 10.9.1I just read briefly about this and correct me if I am wrong. If you are using unix, solaris use the top (% top) command by itself at the command prompt. The output will expose the top users on the system. From there you can drill down to work on the bottleneck causing the high cpu useage. It could be that it is just being very over worked and an upgrade is necessary. Or by using (% netstat -i ) the packets may be too small thereby creating alot of traffic on the system. Reducing the amount of packets by increasing their size without splitting them in the system may reduce the cpu useage.
Hope this helps.

Why does my cq-62 laptop gives me warnings about High CPU usage?
I have a CQ61-420US Notebook with Nortons 360 installed. Recently I have been getting a warning pop-up from Nortons saying, I have High CPU usage. When I check the box I am taken to a Norton System performance page that indicates 90% CPU usage. Can anyone help?
Right click on the taskbar empty space and select "Start Task Manager", you can leave it running and minimize it, it will give you an animated graph in the taskbar you can watch.
Depending on what your are doing on the PC, this may or may not be a problem.
If you are not doing much on the PC when it uses 90% then there could be a problem. -
High CPU usage when playing flv files with flash
As more and more FLV videos are moving to HD, I'm noticing
high CPU usage and lots of dropped frames when playing FLV video in
web browser with Flash 10. This is true even if the video isn't
full screen. I've tried a variety of browsers (Firefox, I.E.,
Chrome) and the problem occurs on all of them so it's pretty clear
it's a limitation in Flash.
Now my PC isn't high end (it has a Pentium M 1.86 GHz
processor), but I can take those same FLV files and load them in
something like Media Player Classic or Windows Media Player (when
using ffdshow) and play the FLV files full screen with little or no
drop in frames and an acceptable CPU rate.
This is especially annoying on sites like YouTube where I
actually have to save the video and play it back in something other
than Flash to have it play back at an acceptable rate. This doesn't
work for other sites like Amazon.
Why is the CPU usage so high when decoding and displaying
videos when compared to other media players?I've been doing research about this excessively high CPU usage problem (100%!) for weeks because I have also experienced it with my vista home premium laptop. Just recently, I have finally found the solution. The problem is not your browser or your OS or your pc's memory. The problem is caused by authorization for flash player.
Read the link (posted below) carefully and follow the steps accordingly. If you have already done steps 1 through 6 with your computer, you can go straight to step 7.

PS: I am not the author of that link, so please thank the respective site owner if you find the procedure very helpful.
Please let me know also if the link solves your problem. I am sharing this because Adobe seems unable to provide solutions to this, and I don't want to hear people suffer.

EA2: high CPU usage with large packages
EA2 + Debian GNU/Linux + jdk1.6.0_04 + Pentium IV 2,8 GHz 1 GBytes RAM
Opening large packages (> 6.000 rows) I have high CPU usage (100%) for about 50-60 seconds. Same problem when I working with these packages
Ciao
DavideOpening works fine for me, and memory seems to be
contained. Working inside the package on occasions
still boosts CPU like you.Attempting to edit an 800 line type body utilises 100% CPU as soon as typing starts.

High CPU usage on OS X 10.9.4
So I have high CPU usage of 50-70% and in safe mode goes away, however when I disable all extensions and set add-ons to "ask to activate" it shoots high when not in safe mode, I disabled themes and everything. I am at my wits end as my Macbook Pro has a Core i5 and 16GB of DDR3 RAM, with a 750GB SSD Hard drive, the hardware is perfectly fine, and firefox is the issue. I may have multiple tabs open a lot but even with 1 or 2 tabs it shoots to an average of 40-50% and as high as 140%
If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit)

IcedTea High CPU usage and multiple jobs created
High CPU usage and multiple jobs created while streaming data via a java applet from a secure/certified website. CPU usage is normal for a few minutes then suddenly jobs multiply and CPU usage climbs on one of the jobs.
Jobs with the following command begin to multiply in my job queue with one job showing CPU usage at 368% and staying resident in memory (yeah, a long one):
/usr/lib/jvm/java-7-openjdk/jre/bin/java -Xbootclasspath/a:/usr/share/icedtea-web/netx.jar:/usr/share/icedtea-web/plugin.jar:/usr/share/java/js.jar: -classpath /usr/lib/jvm/java-7-openjdk/jre/lib/rt.jar sun.applet.PluginMain /run/user/1000/icedteaplugin-tbattist-SZ3xKO/7160-icedteanp-plugin-to-appletviewer /run/user/1000/icedteaplugin-tbattist-SZ3xKO/7160-icedteanp-appletviewer-to-plugin /run/user/1000/icedteaplugin-tbattist-SZ3xKO/7160-icedteanp-plugin-debug-to-appletviewer
I have the following java packages installed on my system:
local/icedtea-web-java7 1.5-1
local/jdk7-openjdk 7.u51_2.4.6-1
local/jre7-openjdk 7.u51_2.4.6-1
local/jre7-openjdk-headless 7.u51_2.4.6-1
I also get the following message in my system log when starting to stream:
Apr 11 12:26:18 saturn logger[7872]: IcedTea-Web java error manual log:
Apr 11 12:26:18 saturn logger[7873]: Application title was not found in manifest. Check with application vendor
Apr 11 12:26:37 saturn logger[7883]: IcedTea-Web java error - for more info see itweb-settings debug options or console. See http://icedtea.classpath.org/wiki/IcedTea-Web#Filing_bugs for help.
Anybody having this issue or clue on what to do? I am wondering if recent changes to openssl (heartbleed) might have java change ramifications? Should I submit bug to Icedtea?
FYI - My system:
Processor : 4x AMD A8-3870 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics
Memory : 7646MB (2518MB used)
Operating System : Arch Linux 3.14.0-4
OpenGL Renderer : Gallium 0.4 on AMD SUMO
X11 Vendor : The X.Org Foundation...further research and learning.
Here is a good tutorial on Java. Evidently, what I called "jobs" is referred to as processes and threads in this tutorial. The tutorial states that multithreaded execution is an essential feature of the Java platform which explains the avalanche of threads I observe. However, I am still stumped at what causes the avalanche of threads and excessive CPU consumption for such a mediocre task. Also the system log says that IcedTea has an error stating "Application title was not found in manifest. Check with application vendor". I interpret this to mean that IcedTea does not recognized some application. What application? .....the applet? -

Why does my iPhone 4 have a different Model # than those on display at Appl
Why does my iPhone 4 have a different Model # than those on display at Apple?
I noticed while in my local Apple store today that their iPhone 4's have a higher Model # in their Settings --> About screen. When I compare mine vs. theirs, why is my Model # lower?
My biggest fear is that Apple will secretly correct the hardware issues on the iPhone 4 & screw over everyone who bought it early by not doing a recall since it would cost them an arm & a leg.
See screenshots of both units compared:
http://yfrog.com/md88epxThey are basically batch numbers as posted by several forums other than Apple. One forum in Canada listed 8 batch numbers of iPhones residing in their country with the last code of "C/A". Mine is "LL" for some reason in the USA. I would have thought it would be "US" but there is probably a more detailed thread on this code choice by Apple.
Also review this Apple thread for more:

Why does it show I have an unopened email when they all show individually as read?
HI, did you manage to resolve this issue?
I've just bought a mac and installed Office. I imported my emails over from windows as a pst file which worked fine. Now when i recieve an email, outlook shows it has arrived in the inbox but i cant find it anywhere?
I have rebuilt my identity and checked all rules and schedules but cant find anything wrong. I've even deleted the account and reinstalled it but its still the same? -
I cannot send an email from my iPad 2? No problem receiving, why does this happen? Have tried the suggestions for setting up email and after doing the sync mail through iTunes receiving worked great but still cannot send? Any help would be great!
The fact that you can receive means you have a valid e mail address, and have established the connection to the incoming server, so all of that works. Since the send does not work, that means your outgoing server is rejecting whatever settings you used formthe outgoing set up. Try them again.
Google your particular isp, and ipad and many times you will find the exact settings needed for your isp. Or tell us here, and soneone else may be on the same isp. Some mail services need you to change a port, or have a unique name for the outgoing server.
Kep trying. -
Why does ENET-232 driver use 98% CPU?
I have an ENET-232/4 device running under Windows XP Professional and am talking to it using LabVIEW 6.1. I am taking readings from an instrument every 5 seconds, with a small data exchange (6 byte command, response is about 50 bytes). Everything seemed to work just fine, but when left overnight the computer was very sluggish. The nisdsusr process was using 98% of the CPU time, and it continued to do so until I quit LabVIEW. Stopping the vi, which closed the serial port, was not good enough. I re-started LabVIEW and my vi, and I can see the CPU usage jump up to 12%-14% every time I take a reading, and go to basically 0 in between. This is perfectly fine. Why did this process go to 100% CPU usage and how can I prevent it from happen
ing again? I am using the 1.01 serial device server driver, which is the latest version and is XP compatible (aside from the driver signing issue).I know this thread is old, but should anyone happen upon it...
This problem (I've had it too) happens when network communication is lost and the serial device server goes into some kind of loop waiting for a tcp ack that never comes back. Something like that. To fix it the port has to be closed that was being used then re-opened. I'm guessing this was your problem when leaving it to run... at some point network communications were lost and the driver went haywire and didn't recover. -
Why does itunes in France have a complete lack of english language content... prefering to release dubbed programmes and not the original english language content?
It would be just as easy to release both a dubbed version and then a subtitled version.
I am a native english speaker but live in France. My father has just moved over to live with me in France and speaks very little French.
The price for a television series is very often more than a dvd box set but does not offer language options.
My French is passable but I would still prefer to hear the programme in English.
Using itunes uk is not an option as my cards are french or english with a french postal address.
The content has been adapted for the french site all i want is to access the original.
The series i have been trying to buy is HBOs 'boardwalk empire'.
The stupid thing is to please my father i would buy up most the HBO, BBC and Channel 4 content a cost of a couple of thousand euros.Try giving Apple feedback: http://www.apple.com/feedback and also contact the Apple headquarters at http://www.apple.com/contact We are all fellow users and not Apple employees and often raise questions like yours ourselves. If enough make Apple aware of a market/need then something may be done about it.
France has come a very long way with regard to other languages. When I lived in France, mid-880s, there was an entire Ministry devoted to the purity of the French language...that was the time the PC came out. A TV news person was cashiered for using the term 'computer' on-air instead of the French created word 'ordinateur'. They took the language extremely seriously at that time. At least today there is recognition and even use of English by the masses -
Why does front row not have simple organization?
I currently have a hard drive hooked into my macmini which is hooked up to my TV. On my hard drive I have over 1000 movies, all purchased through iTunes. However when I use front row and i goto the movie section, I have to scroll through every movie to get to the one I want. There's no way to scroll by letter, only one by one. This is horrible and takes forever. Can apple do an update that makes the right button on the apple remote for scrolling letter by letter. For example, you click the right button to goto movies starting with B, C, D, E, F, etc. Then the down button for one by one scrolling. Also, why does front row not have genres? AppleTV does. Why not incorporate that into front row? Think, Apple, Think.
You can have sub-folders in the Movies folder and arrange your movies alphabetically that way.
But if you want to alert Apple to your idea, then use this link:
