Beta means it is unfinished, not fully featured and may have bugs.
so is it not possible for siri to tell me the weather, and maps and businesses for Australia?
That's correct. Nor will it do it for me in the UK. As it say's in the Siri FAQ I linked to:
"Maps and local search support will be available in additional countries in 2012."

Plug it into iTunes. If that does not work hold the power and home button untill the screen turns off then let go of the power button but KEEP holding the home button... this should bypass the connect to iTunes screen. Hope it helps.

It's pretty difficult to offer suggestions when you say nothing about your Mac, the version of Mac OS it's running, or the models of printers you have. This forum, however, is intended for questions about old, pre-G3 hardware, so unless you are asking about an very old Mac, this is not the forum where you'll be most likely to get help with your problem. I'd suggest you ask this question in the forum for your model of Mac or version of Mac OS X it's running. TS3581 why does siri use the INTERNAL speaker of my iphone 5 and ipad 3 while connected to my car stereo, instead of my car's speakers like all other audio functions? Isn't that the whole point of Siri? I can't hear her at all. useless.

this is so frustrating. I can't hear the responses over the road noise so instead, I must look at the screen and read her responses (Safety first, right). Why just siri? all the other functions output audio through my car's speakers, but someone decided to make siri even MORE difficult to use??? Please apple, if this is a glitch, can you add it to the list and get siri working and fix this safety issue before someone dies?

I think apple doesn't support using siri while driving.

I believe to insert a hyperlink on this website you have to enable scripting. Generating?mp3 or?CD Stereo music out of your 4 satelite speakers and center channel requires either enabling the X-Fi CMSS 3D Surround(generally used for Movies)?setting in your Audio Console or, alternately, if using your X-Fi card with an external Decoder, you could (if available on your decoder) enable Dolby PLII Music enhancement or X2 Stereo enhancement. I personally prefer the results from enabling CMSS 3D Surround and then adjusting my center channel for an even sound stage although I have used Dolby PLII Music enhancement, via my external decoder and optical connection to my X-Fi External console, in the past with very good results. As far as the CMSS-3D Xpand Mode (generally used for Stereo Music Audio played on 4./5./6./7. speaker systems) it appears to be a somewhat more subtle version of the CMSS-3D Surround mode available providing the end-user with a slightly different stereo upmix emphasis. I like either mode as both are very convincing, not outstanding, but certainly acceptable methods of upmixing stereo to various external surround sound speaker and amplifier systems. :smileysurprised:Keep in mind that if you wish to play DVD Movies with Dolby Digital 5. or DTS soundtracks and you want all the discreet channels available then turn off the CMSS-3D. Firefox allows to select part of a word. You can select a word with a double click and use Shift + left click to set the end of the selection, so you need to click at the end of the last word instead of in it.

- Next try a reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

Here's what I had to do, no thanks to the others on here who go at it like Apple, delete and restore.
No, you don't have to delete and restore. Just open a folder on your computer, call it something like iPad music, keep it open, open iTunes, select all your music, copy and paste it in the folder you just created, delete all your music from iTunes (relax, you just copied it into that folder). Select all the music in that folder, drop it back onto your playlist. Now, I renamed my playlist, because it was called untitled, originally, so if that doesn't work, rename, or delete and recreate your playlist, copy the music back over, sync, and they will play.
Worked for me, anyhow. Good luck!

Why does my 3GS have a white screen sometimes, and I have to lock the screen for it to go back to lock screen? Sometimes I have to attempt the lock screen several times, and it still doesn't work. I, then, attempt to restart it by powering it down, and the lock screen will appear again. The display goes out sometimes while I am on a call, and I can't hang up. I have to go through this hole process over and over again.

The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
Restart... Reset... Restore from Backup... Restore as New...
