Why does slideshow stop while playing music

I can play music while watching a slide show using photos only when non-tethered.
If I tether my ipod and use the PC itunes to play music from the ipod, the slide show stops frequently. I listen while tethered so that I can use my headphones for other PC applications (like my employers VOIP software).
In between each song, the ipod screen says Synchronizing even though all my synchronization options are set to "no". When the ipod screen says Synchronizing, the slide show of the photos stops.
I am looking for a free (or cheap) application as a workaround.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

Sound stops while playing music with iTunes Match

While playing music from iTunes Match, the sound stops. The music continues to play but there is no sound. If I double click the song, the sound will start again. But after that song is finished and it advances to the next song. The sound will stop again and I have to double click the song again. Other sounds on my MB-Air will still work. Anyone else having this issue? Thanks

It happens to me too. I listen the most on my iPhone. Song is playing, but no sound. Sometimes I have to close the app and relaunch to recover. Very annoying.

Problems with iTunes 10.6.1 - rendering stops while playing music

Hi everybody, I am writing because some problems with iTunes, that appeared currently. Never had this problems before... When playing music suddenly the rendering stops for several seconds and then it continues without any action from my side. Maybe the problem only shows up when my MacBook comes to the standby mode, but nevertheless, i never had this problem before and it really restricts the possibilities of enjoying music played by iTunes. Can you help me?

I have an old macbook too.
It seems like Apple writes new software that makes older computers not work as well.
I always have reservations about updating with an older model.
Does anybody else have any problems with the new iTunes?

When I play music off my Iphone it always skips to different parts of the song, such as it will play the middle bit first, then the begining of the song, then the end. When I play the songs on my iTunes it works perfect, soon as i drag a song on to my phone it does not work, can anyone explain to me how i can fix this problem?

What's this "paying them in the" business? I don't "use an app". I go to a site. See a video I want to play. I select play. I am directed to update to the latest in Flash at Abobe. I go there, and I am told that Flash Videos will not play on th iPad. That's like having a stereo that won't play only classical music. Or a TV that censors certain channels. Our problem is so bad that by mid afternoon our phone batteries are down to 20% as the phone is continuously searching for signal. Are you using the remote that came with the Apple TV? If so, on the Mac open System Prefs > Security and Privacy and click the "advanced" button. Select the option to "disable remote control infrared receiver" and click OK and close Sys Prefs.

Have you checked the settings in System Preferences>Sound? Are you certain that the jack is fully inserted? If available I would try another set of earphones.

Hi. I feel your pain my friend. This is so annoying it makes me want to cancel my "pro" subscription. I think it has to do with other audio from a web page (includes Facebook) overriding Spotify's audio. I have looked all over Spotify to see if there is an override the override setting. I can't find it. Maybe this bumps up this thread so we get some sort of answer. I wouldn't mind it even if we got it's not possible. At least then we'd know. Try it in another vehicle see if it still happens, at least you can narrow it down to your phone or the car. My 4s play totally fine, I have never had any of those issues. Maybe its time to restore your phone and start over. I would also have someone else play their Iphone in your car, see if it happens to them. Or try yours in someone elses car. Good Luck!

Make sure all of your songs have a checkmark next to the song title. There are small blue boxes that need to be checked for songs to play consecutively.
If the library is unchecked, you can easily recheck things by clicking on a song, going to the top line selecting Edit>Select All, then right clicking on the selection and choosing "Check Selection".

ITunes seems to be skipping/hiccuping while playing music during browisng.

Hello Everyone
So for the past month or so I experience intermittent "hiccuping" while playing music through iTunes on my PC. Songs don't skip in the traditional sense of skipping from one song to the next ... instead it's more like a blurp/drag. It lasts for about a second or two and then it stops. It happens mostly when I'm web-browsing. I've tried using another browser but nothing seems to help. my PC is three years old and it came with Windows 7. I've used Windows 8 since it became available so I guess that's about two years now, I'm on to Windows 8.1. My system has a 1TB hard drive, 4 GB of RAM, and an AMD Athlon X4 640 3GHZ processor (I don't know much about processor specs but I thought I'd include it to be as thorough as possible). Of the TB of Hard Drive space, I've used less than 40% of it. I've run virus scans, malware scans, I've made sure my defrags and Windows updates are up to date. There was recently an update to iTunes in the last day or so - and I was really hoping this would be fixed - but the problem seems to be getting worse.
I'm to the point where I'm ready to download Google Play and just use iTunes solely for syncing my iPhone 5s. I cannot continue to put with playing music in iTunes with this problem. I'm at my wit's end. I've considered "dumping" everything on to an external hard drive, wiping my system and starting fresh ...
Anyone have any thoughts, ideas?

Hmm, maybe. I never (knowingly) use crappy media.
I always use Imation discs (mainly because they are
fully printable - and I thought they were meant to be
good quality). Also, I cant see where to change the
burn speed. I always burn a disc image and then use
Disk Utility to burn a disc. It just does it
automatically and doesn't seem to offer any choices.
How can I get it to burn at slower speed? I'd
prefer not to use third party software if poss.
OK, you've got me worried now.
