Why does "Switch to the Cloud" web page take so long to load???

This web page takes about 5 minutes to load, and then it asks you to login again, and then tells you there is no such login?? (im already loged in to the main adobe site)

By "Switch to the cloud" page you mean https://creativecloud-specialoffer.adobe.com/special-offer/?loc=en_US? The locale parameter at the end en_US may be differerent for you.
There is no single sign-on from https://www.adobe.com to the "Switch to the cloud" page. Your Adobe ID should be recognized and you may be prompted to "Enter your date of birth".
Please email me with your Adobe ID email at [email protected] and I will investigate.

It is possible that the drive is failing as suggested above but it's also possible that your cable is flakey. Have tou thought to try a new one?

  • When using installed 3.6.10 version, web pages take a long time to load. No add-ons or plug-ins are used. I have to use version 3.6 if I want to browse with Firefox, Or web pages take FOREVER to load.

OS: Windows 7 pro, updated daily as needed. This is a self built HIGH END computer, with a Quad processor, we'll leave it at that. I have a Cable connection: download speeds 1.5MBs. When I load Firefox 3.6.8 or 3.6.10 version, web pages take several minuets to load if at all. When I reinstall the basic Firefox 3.6 version over the 3.6.10 version, ALL web pages load instantly! I want the increased security of version 3.6.10 Firefox, but it will just NOT RUN on my computer!!

same problem here for the past two days till this morning when I created a new profile and removed ALL addons from the default profile. With the new profile with NO addons, I got to the sites with video that I had problem with and flash player did work.
Now, I only have three addons that have not created the problem; adblock, flashgot, and flashblock.
Create a new profile and check it out.

  • Page takes too long to load because of videos

Hi. I have a website that I made, but the page takes too long to load because there are videos on it. Is there any way to stop the videos from auto-loading and instead only load when someone clicks on them to play?

There are several ways to have videos on a page without having them load until they are selected to play. A couple are:
1 - Opening Item in a New, Precisely Sized Window. This test site has 9 videos on the page: PhotoPresenter Animated Slideshow Themes.
2 - QT Movies via Export for Web in QT Player. This method is more difficult to implement.

  • Why does Firefox re-download a web page that has already appeared in my browser? VERY time-consuming! Chrome just saves from the cache!

Every time I go to save a web page or image, Firefox insists on re-downloading the page/image, which consumes a great deal of time. Chrome (and my other browsers) seem to save the item directly from the cache or memory, which is MUCH FASTER! Is there an option to make Firefox save more rapidly, ie directly from cache or memory, so I don't have to sit (and swear and fume) while the file is being RE-downloaded??

600+ MB does sound like a lot, but that depends on what you are using as your homepage, and how much of that 600 is being used by the plugin container - Flash and other plugins. Also, using that amount might have to do with how much RAM you have installed - the more RAM installed and the more Firefox allows itself to use. • The small symbols for bookmarks in the list does not show the right web page symbol? How can I get this right?

I have a lot of short cuts to web pages in the list just under the web address. The symbol showing should be that of the web page but for some of the links the symbol shows the wrong symbol. For example it could be that CNN has the symbol of BBC (I don't have this exact problem but just as an example).

  • Why has firefox become so slow and it use to be so fast, why do pages take so long to load now.

Firefox use to be very fast. Now it takes a long time for pages to load. There is no malware or spyware. Hardware is working right. Have started using Safari to get the speed I use to get before, but I miss Firefox. I disabled all my addons and plugins and still at times it reminds me of dial up. I have a cable connection of +15 mps. I also constantly clean my cache so it isn't that. IE is much, much faster as well. I have totally uninstalled it and reinstalled it as well, but it doesn't help.

Maybe it is a problematic add-on? At the top of the Firefox window, select Help<Restart With Add-ons Disabled. This will start Firefox in safe mode. If you notice anything is faster, than chances are the problem you were having was an extension. Disable all of them, then begin enabling them one by one. Restart each time you disable an add-on. If you notice Firefox is slow after enabling a certain add-on, then, problem solved (hopefully).
Another thing you can do is install FasterFox, a helpful add-on that increases the speed of Firefox. Download here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/fasterfox-9148/

  • Coldfusion Page  takes too long, to Load.

    Hi All,
I have just moved into Coldfusion technology. My expertise is
predominantly on Oracle and PL/SQL development.
In the application i am working on, we are currently facing,
an issue. We have a requirement, that is handled by dynamic
dropdowns. We use Javascript to control the values loaded in a
dropdown. (By default, the Country, State, City, Facility and
Facility Type for a user will be loaded. He can choose any of the
values in the dropdown and that would control the other dropdown's.
If a Country is chosen, the states corresponding to that country
should be loaded in the next drop down .. and so on ... )
We have drop downs like, Country, State, City, Facility and
Facility Types. The backend, sends across, all the values as the
combinations of Country,State,City, Facility and FacilityTypes that
have been rolled out , to enable selection as a refcursor. The page
load was surprisngly taking about 91 seconds!! We did check the
record volumes and they are not more than 1500 rows. Also, the
database queries, execute in 130 microseconds each. Thus, the code
is indeed optimized from the database perspective.
The Issue i am facing is the performance hit when the page
loads. For just 1500 rows of the combinations i have mentioned, it
takes 94 seconds. It takes only 24 seconds in my offshore. However,
i have verfied machine configurations and i seem to have a better
configuration that my offshore team. Yet, it takes more time to
load here. Also, does the CF application server parse all the
functions OnLoad, Onchange even before the Page is loaded? Anyone
who has already encountered this issue?
    Cheers,
    J

What version of CF (guessing 6.1 according to your username)?
    What database?
    What database driver?
    Is the database indexed correctly?
    Is the database local?
Are you caching your queries, since a list of states is
    unlikely to change?
    What hardware on the server?
Are your heap sizes optimized in the CF Administrator?

  • Why does Firefox re-jump to a page when it is finished loading or when automatically refreshing?

If I change tabs or windows within Firefox or switch from Firefox to another open programme running, and the browser page has not completely loaded (or sometimes refreshes due to automatic updating) what I see on the monitor is not the tab or window highlighted in the tab bar (or for that matter programme highlighted in the taskbar). Firefox just jumps back on its own accord and leaves me with often with a view that is conglomeration of the reloading page and the other programm I am working on.

Another user posted a screenshot of something like that earlier this afternoon, and I'm not sure what is causing that to happen. I suspect if may be caused by an extension that was recently updated, but no ideas about which one it may be. I just got back to my computer after be gone for the last five hours, so I don't if there has been any additional information in the other thread or not. This is about all I can figure to do right now until we have more information related to this new issue.
Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?

  • Why does Pages take so long to load on ipad2

Most of the time when I launch Pages on ipad2 it takes awhile for the app to load all of the files. Sometimes I have to quit the app and try it again. Sometimes again. And then, finally it comes up and I am able to get to work. Anyone know why this is happening? Is it trying to reconcile with iCloud first, thus taking more time for me to get to work on something? Thanks for any help in this area.

  • Why does Adobe Acrobat XI 11.0.07 take 2 minutes to load a Brother Scanner Interface dialog?

Just updated OS X to 10.10 (Yosemite), on a MacBook Pro Retina (i7 processor, 8 GB) today.
Now, after having trouble, so uninstalled & reinstalled Adobe Acrobat Pro XI (11.0.07), I'm further delayed each time I try to scan.
In the past, I've used the menus in Acrobat to scan:  File / Create / PDF from Scanner.
This immediately shows the first of two dialog boxes:  ADOBE SCAN, where I select Brother TWAIN as the input, scan to a new PDF document, no OCR, not PDF/A, not Optimized) and click Scan.
This brings up the second dialog box (BROTHER TWAIN), which sets resolution, color or black / white, and page size.  This second dialog box used to appear right away - now there is always a 2 minute delay, before the 2nd dialog box appears, during which time the system is responsive but Acrobat appears non-responsive.
So, why the 2 minute delay?

I'd like to add that I'm having the exact same issue, which started after the Acrobat 11.0.09 upgrade in Yosemite.  The previous version of Acrobat worked just fine in Yosemite.
I have a Brother ADS-1500W, and the same symptoms as the OP, which are:
I click File > Create PDF from Scanner
I get the Adobe scanner window, where I input my settings.
I click "Scan", then have a 1-2 minute wait before my actually scanner input window comes up.
I'm a creative cloud subscriber, how can I downgrade to 11.0.0?
    EDIT: (Temporarily?) Fixed
I saw another brother user report that updating their scanner drivers directly from Brother fixed the issue.  I downloaded the latest printer drivers directly from Brother here, (version 3.10.0, released on 10/23/2014) and the transition from the Adobe to the Brother/OSX scan dialogue is once again instant. Other users have reported that the fix goes away on restart, so I'll see if I can avoid restarting until Adobe/Brother comes up with a more permanent fix.

  • Web pages take around 60seconds to load each time

Used MZ for about 10 years+ but now i simply have to change (to Chrome?) because MZ takes around 60 secs to load one page. Tried to reset - works for couple pages then jams up again. Rest again - same thing happens. Fed up trying.
Also went to 'send you comment page'...said i needed latest browser to submit. so downloaded latest browser ...went back to support - just says 'oh browser out of date need to update before you leave a comment'. Repeated download - same thing. Grrr!
Please fix whatever is causing this - probably since about jan of this year - and i will return as a loyal user...and chrome is clumsy and complicated i dont like it - but the pages load faster!!

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
    See:

  • Why does it take so long to load a web page on my iPad

Why does it take so long to load a web page on my new ipad wifi

This is probably not a problem with the iPad, but with the wi-fi. If your internet connection and/or wi-fi speeds are slow, then loading web pages will be slow. If I was you, I would research different kinds of wireless routers to find the fastest one in your price range, and also research different kinds of modems.
