Why does the iTunes not show "Photos"
Why does the new iTunes not show "Photos" after it is synced, and why does iCloud not show Photos also?
Ralph9430 offers a good suggestion. But you may need to do this before taking his advice:
Check in iPhoto's Preferences (which you can open from the iPhoto menu). Look in General, and make sure "Connecting Camera Opens" is set to "Image Capture").
If it is set to "iPhoto", you won't be able to get to Image Capture easily. -
Why does iPhoto keep defaulting to Photo Stream being off?
I am running iPhoto '11 (9.2) and frequently it will prompt me to turn Photo Stream on when I have already turned it on. This is frustrating because it means that it has to download all the pictures that I've taken in the past 30 days! Why does it not recognize and continue to recognize that Photo Stream?
Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

Why does the eprint service on my HP Photosmart 7510 get disabled when it is powered off?
I bought this printer in January this year and I've had issue with the ePrint service not staying enabled when the printer turned off. Because of this I'm expereincing the following issues.
1. Efax is not working correctly. I can send faxes, but I cant recieve them. Also whenever I press fax on the printer it asks me to enable ePrint.
2. I can't print from my phone and other remote location.
3. The printer sometimes shuts down on its own and never finishes the shut down process.
4. When I check efax.com I can see the faxes we've recieved, but I can't see that any faxes have been sent.
5. I can see that faxes that were sent on the printer, but I can't see that anything has been recieved.
The printer is working great as a normal printer, but I kind of what to use all the ePrint services.
Here is the details on the printer.

Why does the size of my photos reduce to 0mb after editing in iPhoto?
Please bear with me here. I am a new Mac user (MacBook Pro, 2008, OSX 10.7.5), as well as not the most technologically competent person in the world, so I might need a little patience and additional questions to help me understand everything!
After a recent trip to Europe, I imported photos that I had taken with two different cameras into iPhoto ('09, version 8.1.2). All the photos that I took with my Canon Rebel t2i DSLR have not had the problem I'm about to describe, in the past or with photos from this trip. The problem has been only from pictures that I took and uploaded from my husband's Nikon Coolpix L610 point and shoot. Not sure if this will matter, but the mode I was shooting in was 16M (4608x3456) which appears to be the "best" quality for this camera.
As I was going through my photos and editing them (mostly minor edits, cropping, straightening, enhancing, altering the sharpness/exposure/definition/saturation), I noticed the size of my photos decreasing, as described in the information box in the lower left hand corner of the screen. With at least 30+ pictures of the ones I have tried editing (this isn't counting the hundreds more that I have yet to start editing), the file size dropped to 0MB, some after one edit as simple as straightening, others taking 2 or more minor edits to drop to 0. The picture is still there in the multiphoto view (in Photos section under Library), but if I try to click on the picture to view it larger, it just shows up as a black screen.
For example, one picture I have showed a size of 4608 x 3456 and 7.6 MB. When I did one edit (enhance photo), the 4608 x 3456 stayed the same, but the 7.6MB changed to 0KB. For others, it will decrease some with one edit, then drop down to 0 if I do additional edits. Most of my pictures are in the 4-10MB range in their original form (no edits). I'm assuming that I was shooting in jpeg mode, since that's what they uploaded as. (I've read on here of other people shooting in RAW mode and such, but I don't even think this camera has that capability). I read some other boards with similar questions, but not the exact same problem as I'm facing. I know that there is "jpeg compression" with jpeg files when editing.
So I guess my question is this: Is there anything I can do to stop this reduction down to 0? I will only be printing out a few of these pictures, and most in a 4x6 or 5x7 size. I'm more concerned with being able to post them to Facebook for my family, who lives far away. When the file size is 0KB, it won't upload because it doesn't even register as there being a picture and if I try it anyway, it gives me an error message, something along the lines of not supporting this format (or something similar, has been a couple days since I last tried).
I read something one of the similar boards that mentioned saving the edited photos as TIFF files, but it also mentioned that that takes up a lot more disk space, which I'm not sure if I want to (or have the space to) do. (Side question: If I did check the box in Preferences --->Advanced "Save edits as 16-bit TIFF files, would that do that to every picture in my library that I have edited?)
As I said, I'm new to this whole Mac stuff (been using it for just under a year, given to me by my brother-in-law after my computer died), so please use as much layman lingo as possible! And thank you in advance for anyone that can give me any insight and/or advice!None of my pictures that I uploaded into iPhoto are in my Finder under Pictures. Should I copy and paste my folders from iPhoto into here, in case something happens to my iPhoto program (in addition to backing them up onto an external hard drive like I already do)?
No, that's just wasting space. A back up needs to be on a different disk.
Your photos are within the iPhoto Library. -
Why does the same photo appear in every iphoto album?

Why does my caller I.D. photos show as a small thumbnail in the upper right corner and not full screen? I have used both photos I have synced and photos I have taken, yet others have full screen photo I.D.'s. I have looked onlime at several threads and there are no real answers as to what I need to do or am doing wrong.
I am also having this issue.
I've just spoken to someone in the Apple Support Centre who advised me that since the product is in beta, he is unable to assist. I wanted to find out whether someone was able to delete the data for me, or 'reset' the photos app somehow. This apparently cannot be done. He suggested I provide feedback via the feedback page, which I will do, but to be honest doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence in the issue being fixed.
I also deactivated the service and waited the 30 days for the pictures to be deleted - this should have been completed in mid-January. Instead, my iCloud.com Photos page is now showing the photos that should have been deleted as grey squares, just as you described. I am also unable to delete these photos; every time I try, I get the same message about a server error.
I am also unable to disable the service by enabling and then disabling it on my iPhone. Each time I have tried this it hangs on uploading for several hours, with the progress bar not moving at all. When I disable it on my iPhone, the web app remains unchanged.
If anyone has had this issue and has managed to fix it, PLEASE share your wisdom. I am out of patience! -

Why does IPhoto create dupicates of photos and graphic that is on My Mac when I import the photos from Photo stream to the library? I started out with about 4,000 photos when I transferred everything from my PC. I use a new IPad and IPhone to take the photos. The Mac is running Mountain Lion 10.8.2 3.1 Intel prosessor. I am using IPhoto 11.
Thanks in advance
Barrythere is an app called daisydisk on mac app store which will help you see exactly where the memory is focused and consumed try using that app and see which folders are using more memory

Why does the mouse move erratically in PSE 13?
why does the mouse move erratically in PSE 13?
I'm getting the same thing. This is the second major problem I've had with Adobe Photoshop Elements 13. They just corrected the first problem where there was a "default printer" error coming up when printing. This is ridiculous.
My mouse freezes erratically when I click on the main drop down menu. It works okay when editing photos. The mouse just acts erratically on the Main drop down menus. My suspicion is the new update that fixed the default printer error has caused this issue. I am really hoping someone from Adobe is viewing this forum. It took 3 months for Adobe to fix the printer issue. I hope this isn't the case with this issue. -

Why does iphoto not copy all photos when transfering
Hi peeps.
why does iPhoto not copy all photos from an event when im copy/pasting to an external folder on my mac(for later transfer). All softwares are up to date and ive only just realised it happens, but when i copy all pics in an event then paste in a folder, the pic count is substantially different. for example i select all pictures in an event called 'new1', the count of files is 188. i then copy/ paste to a folder, select all files and check 'info' and it says 141 files???
all i can see painstakingly going through to compare which images are in each place is that the ones that arent in my new folder , seem to be the ones ive edited in iPhoto?? conincidence? or am I missing something fundamental here? Ive only just realised this is occuring. The trouble is, after moving images to folders/hard drives I subsequently delete them from iphoto to keep my macbook airs HDD with some space. So basically all of the versions of pictures I want, i.e, the new edited and adjusted versions are no longer! NOT HANDY!
help please. We've seen a few reports of this in the past while and no one is sure of the cause.
Use the File -> Export command. See this User Tip

The trouble is, after moving images to folders/hard drives I subsequently delete them from iphoto to keep my macbook airs HDD with some space.
means you are losing quality, metadata and the version of control. If you don't want these why use iPhoto at all?
You could just move the whole Library to an external:
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

Why does the page not move smothe when i scroll?
Why does the page not move smothe when i scroll?
Sometimes it even move slower then i Scroll?
I use a Mac and i have tried to reinstall the program.Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
In Firefox 4 [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode Safe mode] disables extensions and disables hardware acceleration.
* Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

In formcentral, why does the "proceed to checkout" button not work? on IE I get error " This content cannot be displayed in a frame. To help protect the security of information you enter into this website, the publisher of this content does not allow it to be displayed in a frame ". On Chrome I get nothing but loading.
Hi,
This error is generally specific to Internet Explorer and has two possible causes. The most likely explanation is that your browser has unusual browser security settings. I would recommend you try
resetting your security settings to defaults (varies by version but all essentially the same). You may also have to turn off
Protected Mode which is enabled by default on some systems. If you’re seeing this error (or a version of it) outside Internet Explorer, you may have a server-level setting that is preventing your content from being framed.

Why does the time transport display start at 1 hour in LPX
Hi, I'm new to Logic Pro X and I am really confused about something. In the transport (or control bar, whatever) display, with it set at TIME, why does it keep defaulting to 01:00:00.000 instead of all zeros? I am recording voice, and as I hit the one hour mark of recording, it actually indicates two hours. Why and how can I fix this? Thanks, Al
Blueberry, thanks for the reply, however, it just doesn't make sense. In Garageband, the beginning of the audio track is 0. When I've recorded an hours worth of audio, Garageband will show 01:00:00.000. But in LPX, that isn't true. At one hour, it will show 02:00:00.000. It seems illogical to me.
