It's right at an hour (consistently), but the computer goes to sleep prior to that. It's as if iTunes goes to sleep. Also, it wasn't always this way. Originally, the movies played through without interruption. At some point, I guess a setting was changed, and now I only get an hour. Also. My energy settings are set to go to sleep at 10 minutes.

Problem solved: I have been using Walnut for Firefox ver. 2.0.28 theme. For some reason this has been causing the problem. Started FF in Safe Mode, and the slider problem disappeared. Then proceeded to re-enable the Walnut theme: the problem reappeared. Disabled Walnut theme and reenabled all my other add-ons (about 6 of them). Still no problem. So, clearly there is a problem with the use of Walnut theme in FF ver. 32, at least on my Windows 7 installation.

It normally updates if there are new images or edits which are picked up from the watch folder. The default watch folder is My Pictures+sub-folders.

Once the movie stops, the audio stops, but then after 5 seconds or so it will speed up to try to catch up with the rest of the movie. I bought the movie in HD for 14.99 and if it keeps acting up like this I am afraid it's going to crash my computer. Please, this is so frustrating

You are more lucky than me, mine will go about 8 seconds...audio stops but the song is still playing. I have to quit iTunes and occasionally I can get it to work normal for a while. Shuffle is broke, help is broke, iTunes needs a MAJOR update and QUICK!. I can't live without me musics.

Used recovery mode, re installed the Mountain Lion. It ran while am aslep and in morning the OS had updated the existing one and things started to work fine. It only asked for a Java 1.6 re install

This is very annoying. I was stupid enough to buy a one year subscription to Photoshop CC, only to find that it is ruining my happiness. I am trying to run it on a brand new Macbook Pro 15 retina i7 running Yosemite, and everything works fine, except for this one thing - when I drag a new photo into a layer, the resize function and the move tool stops working for a very long time. If I am patient enough, the functions will finally wake up. Is there a way to get around this problem? I have searched the forum without any luck, and I am just about to start jumping up and down, calling Adobe by names that will make my neighbors cover up their ears. $/!"%%#/&%"#W)!ÆY!!!

Right-mouse on the Synaptics toolbar icon to bring up Mouse Properties, select the Device Settings tab, press Settings to bring up Properties for Synatpics ClickPad, on the left open Pointing... Sensitivity... Palm Check. This is a feature to prevent accidental touchpad movement by your palm while you're typing. So it prevents use of the touch pad when keys are directly used.

Why does the move command move down instead of up?

When I have an object selected and hit "Enter" it brings up the "Move" dialog box... why do positive vertical numbers move the item down and negative move it up?
It was opposite before (going through Illustrator 3 through CS.) Is there a way to change it back?

They have reversed the Y axis. But you can unreverse it and get back to what you are used to.
To change the ruler origin (and direction of the Y axis) in CS5 - CC(2014) to be the same as in CS4 and earlier, you may:
A) Install and run the script in the OP of this thread,http://forums.adobe.com/thread/890507?tstart=30
or
B) Manually change the relevant preference settings as follows:
0) Close down Illy (you can only change the preference file with Illy closed);
1) Find and open the AIPrefs (Win speak) or Adobe Illustrator Prefs (Mac speak) file withe a text editor like Notepad or TextEdit; the preference file is a (hidden) file in the (hidden) folder Adobe Illustrator CS5 Settings
2): Find and change the following two bits of code:
/isRulerOriginTopLeft 1 >>> /isRulerOriginTopLeft 0 (change 1 to 0)
/isRulerIn4thQuad 1 >>> /isRulerIn4thQuad 0 (change 1 to 0)
This is a global change so you only have to do it once (just as you can undo it once).
You may find the folder as described in <a href="http://www.bugge.com/Family-and-friends/Illy/illy.html">Move the folder</a>.

Why does the "Move to new window" function that I used to use not work when I right click on the tab anymore?

It used to be when I right clicked on the tab in Firefox that I could use the "Move to new window" option. Now when I go down to that option it looks as though it is going to work, but nothing happens. The other day I changed a few options in Firefox, but I don't remember changing anything that sounded as though it would have this effect and now I can't find any options that seem to fix it. Why does the printer stop without notice?

Hello all, I'm sharing a printer with Mac OS Server (10.3) and the problem is that it stops randomly, I mean it works properly but sometimes the server stops the queue without a notice. The printer is HP 4100
It usually fails when a user sen a .PDF file. If somebody can help me I would be grateful.

This issue is frequently caused by a driver malfunction although the problem could be just about anything.
You didn't provide any information.
The good news: You can still help yourself and there is lots of help available, including -- in many cases -- the printer software for your computer so you can reinstall and be on your way again.

I can imagine that is frustrating as heck. My daughter has one of these and I know for a fact hers does not turn off after 10 minutes because I have to turn it off for her every night after she has fallen asleep. Below is what Apple has to say about it from a troubleshooting standpoint.
"If music stops when the iPod nano screen turns off m Make sure the earphone port is free of debris. m Make sure the earphone or headphone connector is pushed in all the way. To see an illustration, go to support.apple.com/kb/ts3700."
Are you using aftermarket ear buds or speakers when you listen to these lectures??? If so maybe it has something to due with a compatibility issue.

Why does the rendering stop when exporting in Premier 2014?

I am running Premiere 2014 on Windows 7. I have a fairly simple sequence (without audio) that I'm trying to export in H264. Every time I attempt this, the progress bar stops at the same point and it never completes.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Break it apart and try to find the spot of stall. For example, if you get 3/4 through as your progress bar indicates, in/out or work area the first half and render out, then render out the last half. Or, render out the first half, then the next quarter, then the next eigth.

I would also like a way to turn off this "feature." Currently, if I miss 5 episodes of a podcast, the Podcasts app stops auto-downloading new episodes of that podcast. I, however, would prefer that my Podcasts app simply keep the most recent 3 episodes of the podcasts I subscribe to, whether I've listened to other recent episodes, or not. And "most recent 3" is just my preference. I'm sure there are people out there who want to keep every episode, listened or not, recent or not. There shouldn't be limitations on how we decide to use our memory or bandwidth.

When upgrading iPhoto, why does the upgrading stop on step five?

It stops at (99% complete). I tried force quit but that didn't help and I cut off the computer and restarted. When I open iPhotos again, the ugrading starts again at step one but doesn't not move beyond step five.

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
If that fails:
Restore from your back up, repair the Library and try again.
