Why does the music on my iPhone take bigger than in iTunes

As topic, I'm not really sure why. On my iPhone the music take up 11.3 Gb but in iTunes it is 10.34 Gb.

I found out that my iTunes Media folder is a few gigs bigger than in iTunes.
Is it possible to overwrite the iTunes media folder with the music that is in iTunes itself?

My iPhone 5s's (which is only 3 days old) music will unexpectedly stop in the middle of playback. Upon examination of the screen, the iTunes app is still playing the music, but there is no volume. The only way to rectify this is to unplug the headphones and the re-plug them back in; which would normally stop the music, but not in this case. It simple restores the volume and continues to play.

Hard to offer an explanation, but a reboot may solve your problem: Press and hold BOTH the home and power butons at the SAME time for at least 10 seconds (ignore the red slider to shut down) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart. You won't lose any data or settings by a reboot.

Why does the music from my CDs take up so much memory?

I'm new to itunes, and having just recieved an ipod (an 8 GB nano) for Christmas I started uploading my CDs to itunes yesterday.
I've uploaded 15 albums, containing 205 songs, which is 12.4 hours of playing time. According to the information at the bottom of my itunes, it takes up 7.38 GB of memory. 8 GB of memory is supposed to hold 2000 songs, so I don't understand why 205 songs have nearly filled the memory. Can anyone help?

Maybe it has to do with the encoder you used to import your CDs to the computer. If you use a lower encoding (for example, mp3 or aac at 128 kbps) your iPod should be able to contain approximately 2000 songs. If you use a higher encoding (like mp3 or aac at 192 kbps or higher bit rates) , your songs will take much more space but the sound quality will be higher. To check what encoding you're using you can select a file, right-click, and click on "get info". After doing that, you'll have to import your cd's again using the new encoder.

"Other" contains objects that are not categorized elsewhere. It includes, for example, iOS, mail messages, and working space.
If "Other" is more than about 1.5 gigabytes, that would be considered a lot of space. That is often caused by corrupt app(s).
You can shrink "Other" by restoring your iPhone using iTunes. Plug your iPhone in, let it sync, then choose "Restore" from your iPhone's summary page in iTunes. You can try restoring from the backup, but that may not work. If not, restore as new and selectively sync apps back.

I recently had to reinstall my software for a
dell computer a dell latitude d 830, then after installing all of my software and such including itunes the player did well even record to disks with no problems now that my system has done alot of updating of system files....now the itunes does not burn to my cd...error message 2131 this time
The 2131 usually indicates firmware needs to be updated on a drive.
Head to your drivers and downloads page for your latitude at Dell, and check for updates to your firmware for your optical drives. If you're behind and you update, does that clear up the 2131?

This is usually an indication that your headphones/earbuds are not plugged all the way in. Double check the connection and make sure that no metal from the jack is showing.

I want to replace the music on my iphone 5s with a new itunes library

i couldn't find any answers on the forum, i'm hoping someone can help me... basically, i got a new laptop and instead of wanting to transfer my other itunes library from my old laptop, i decided to start fresh... i spent ages sorting all my new music out and itunes doesn' sync... i want to delete the music from my iphone and replace it with my new itunes library, i've tried pretty much everything, when i plug my iphone in and click sync, it skips through the 4 or 5 stages, the music never updates on my iphone. i'm really confused, i didn't want to click restore just incase i lost absolutely everything, PLEASE HELP
p.s. i already managed the accounts on itunes store and selected this computer, and my iphone, deleting my other laptop (so only this itunes library is active if that makes sense)

Why is the music on my iPhone 4S grey and not playable?

I received a new iPhone 4S and have synced the iTunes library. Many of the songs on the iPhone are greyed when selecting and will not play. When I go to purchased songs in the iTunes store on the iPhone, it says the songs have already been downloaded. What gives? Do I need to re-sync the phone? Is there not a way to remove the songs from the phone and resync/download from the iTunes cloud?

This is my solution to the grey songs, cant buy from iTunes app or App Store, and syncing problems.
im just going to say it how it is and no robot instructions. it takes any where from 30 minutes to 1-2 hours depending on how much stuff is on your iPhone. so here is how i fixed mine
1. Back up your iPhone whatever device you have
2. Disconnect from iTunes and unplug your Apple device
3. NOTE:NOT FROM YOUR COMPUTER, BUT go into the
Settings app>General>Restore: Erase All Content and Settings
4. Let it Restart and you will be prompted with the ios 5 Setup screen and continue setting up UNTIL you get to the part where it asks you about RESTORING from a back up via iTunes, iCloud, or setup as a new iPhone.
5. select the iTunes option. connect to iTunes and right click your iPhone from the devices list and select "Restore from Backup..."
6. select the backup you did just a few ago.
7. let it backup, it may take a while from 10 minutes to 30. it took me 20 (so find something to do like watch a tv show or something. go on youtube and watch a video or two to pass the time)
8. once restored, it will come up on the device list on iTunes. ONLY click the iPhone DO NOT click the music on the iPhone. click sync if it isn't already.
9. after it is done, THEN click the music on the drop down selection on your iPhone. all the previous music that was gray/grey, should be black like normal, if not then press sync and then go back to music.
this worked for me so hopefully it will work for you.
this grey song issue ****** me off so much i wanted to throw my iPhone 4S at the wall and see all the glass shatter into a million pieces. nasdlfhsdfsdjfnl gahhh. everything is working like a charm now so you're welcome if this worked.

Why does the music app on my phone keep skipping songs?

My music app on my iPhone 4S keeps skipping songs. It will show the album
cover for a second then it will skip right to the next song and sometimes it will
skip multiple songs. For example, once it skipped over an entire playlist and
went to the screen at the end when it showed all of the songs in the playlist.
I have update 6.0.1 and I haven't used the music app since the last update.

Mine is 18.2Mb it gets to about 37mb tops, Try logging out of the app, remove all apps that are running in the background then shut your phone down and restart, if that does not work hold the power and home button and do a hard reset. You shouldnt loose any data at all but make sure you back up anyway before hand, its just like a forced reboot of a computer really.

Why does my music from my iPhone 5 delete itself?

I have music on my iPhone (probably like ever other user out there) and when I play music, songs will be skipped, sometimes even three or four at a time, and they will magically be deleted from my phone. Nope. You can swipe to delete tracks on your iPhone and they won't be deleted from iTunes.
You can also just remove them from the playlist that you've selected in iTunes and sync the iPhone again.

I have this problem too. I just finished organizing my musc the way I want it on my iMac and now it's all messed up on my iPhone and iPad. I have a lot of artists now that weren't there before such as "Kaskade feat. Dragonite" instead of just "Kaskade" like it is on my iMac. The album artist for these songs are all "Kaskade" so they should all fall under the same artist even though the individual songs have different artists. I also have a lot of artists who's albums are all mushed together. So instead of having three albums from Lana Del Ray with 10 or so songs each, I have one album containing all of her songs.

Why does the Music app play videos too?

I have been an iPod, iPhone and iPad user for quite some time, but I have always loaded my music into iTunes and transferred it manually.
Last week I took the plunge and bought my first iTunes album *applause*. I love it! Quality is awesome.
However, the album that I bought, has 5 audio tracks, and 5 video tracks. Now when I playback the album on my iPad or iPhone, it plays both the audio and video tracks. So effectively, I listen to each song twice.
This may be a stupid question but, how do I stop the music app from playing the videos?

i don't have any music in iCloud. I buy all my music through Amazon because it's DRM-free, download it to my PC, then put it on my phone.
i do just ignore the request and use it normally, I was just wondering why it wanted data access in the first place. iTunes radio makes sense. Thanks.

Why does the map app say it takes 8 hours to travel 25 miles?

The map app says it takes 8 hours and 17 minutes to drive from Naperville, IL, to Midway Airport. An alternate route only takes 49 minutes.

If I selected walking, why would a longer alternate route only take 59 minutes.
I just got directions for the same route and got reasonable results. Whatever the problem was it appears to have been corrected.

Why does the CS6 Master Collection Suite take up so much RAM on a computer??

so, if, i brought the CS6 Master Collection Suite i would need more RAM on my computer right?
because, my apple computer only has 4GB of memory and that program needs 4GB of RAM.
I would need to add more memory to my apple computer say upgrade it to maybe 8GB of RAM??
But, i don't understand why does that suite need so much memory or RAM on a computer??
could i just only download the programs i really need onto my apple laptop and maybe that
would free up some memory or RAM so that the program wouldn't end up using all of the memory
on my computer could i just do that??

Mzpretty3 you can find the system requirements for CS6 Master Collection at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-system-requirements.html#CS6_Master_ Collection_system_requirements. For Mac OS we recommend a minimum of 4 GB of RAM and if you are going to do heavy photo or video editing then you will want to have at least 8 GB of RAM available.
Please also be aware that the installation will require at least 15.5 GB of hard drive space. This is separate from the amount of RAM which you have installed.
