Why does the revealed image flicker when using the Show/Hide feature?

I started using the Show/Hide Button and Forms function in InDesign CS6 and have had some peculiar things happen. I was mocking up some samples and on the swf version if you hover over the left side of the blue rectangle all is fine but if you move to the right side of the blue rectangle the image starts to flicker. When you hover over the red rectangle the pop-up image just flickers constantly. I guess there must be some issue with having the button for a revealed image under some portion of the revealed image. The problem went away when the button and the revealed image did not overlap.
This problem didn't occur with another file I had originally created in CS5.

Why does tooltip-called image flicker when it is over the trigger?

Using a tooltip to present an image works fine when the resulting image stays away from the trigger location, e.g. offset down and to the right. If the image is nearly full-screen, it covers the trigger location and flickers rapidly, occasionally setting after a while, but only for a moment. Same for a small text box, if the trigger is near bottom-right on the screen, causing the tooltip content to display over the trigger site. Any ideas to stabilize the image/text when over the trigger?

There are bugs hanging around for version after version after version. Hopefully it gets fixed but nobody knows when or if a bug will get fixed until it is.

Why does "Link Media" behave differently when used as a keyboard shortcut vs when right clicked???

Not sure whether anyone else is encountering this, but the "Link Media" command behaves differently when right clicked as opposed to when used as a keyboard shortcut.
When you right click to select that option for an offline file, you get only the corresponding disconnected source media. But when you execute "Link Media" via a keyboard shortcut, PP brings up a huge list of all other offline media. Why does it only do that when you use the keyboard shortcut for "Link Media" but not when you right click "Link Media".
I'd like to get the Link Media command to behave via the keyboard shortcut the same way it behaves when right clicked. I don't want to have to deal with relinking a hundred other files, but just the single offline file I'm working on.

Among the alternatives not mentioned... Using a TiVo DVR, rather than the X1; a Roamio Plus or Pro would solve both the concern over the quality of the DVR, as well as providing the MoCA bridge capability the poster so desperately wanted the X1 DVR to provide. (Although the TiVo's support only MoCA 1.1.) Just get a third-party MoCA adapter for the distant location. Why the hang-up on having a device provided by Comcast? This seems especially ironic given the opinions expressed regarding payments over time to Comcast. If a MoCA 2.0 bridge was the requirement, they don't exist outside providers. So couldn't the poster have simply requested a replacement XB3 from the local office and configured it down to only providing MoCA bridging -- and perhaps as a wireless access point? Comcast would bill him the monthly rate for the extra device, but such is the state of MoCA 2.0. Much of the OP sounds like frustration over devices providing capabilities the poster *thinks* they should have.

I have an iPod 160G Classic, I've spent the last 3 months taking my 2,247 "Owned" cd's (I'm a retired dj), an ripped them with identical settings and transfered them flawlessly onto my iPod. I now have a total of 26,311 tracks on my iPod. "FWI"- I tranfered each "Complete" album, no individual tracks... I had been looking forward to being able to Shuffle through my music and not actually listening to individual ablums at a time. I work as a security guard and I am able/allowed to use my iPod via my Bose dock.
I have been listening to my iPod in Shuffle Mode for 3 full weeks now and I am finding that I'm continually listening to the same 30 or so albums out of the full 2,247 that are on my iPod, sometimes it will actually play a song from a perticular album and then play Another track from that same album within the next 10 - 15 tracks!
In the end I'm hearing One New Track that I haven't heard yet every 15 - 20 or so tracks while at the same time I'm hearing tracks from the same albums and or groups throughout the 15 - 20 tracks that have played... As an example, I have 4 albums from the group KISS, I hear tracks from those 4 albums atleast 3 - 5 times every day - day & half... Why does the Shuffle Mode work so poorly? I can't see for the life of me why the so-called "Shuffle Mode" doesn't Shuffle through "ALL" of the 2,247 tracks that are on the iPod.
I've even gone as far as to use a cable to plug my iPod into a regular radio allowing me "Not" to charge my iPod until the battery is almost dead, allowing it to play continuously for my entire 8 hour shift in Shuffle Mode. And then just resume the next shift for another 8 hours, again, until the battery is almost dead. I've gotten around 35+ hours per charge over the last 2 weeks.
"My whole reason for spending $350. on this iPod was so that I could listen to my album collection as though I were listening to a radio... shuffling through "All" of my tracks. I'm now sitting here kicking myself in the a$$ for seemingly wasting my money..."
Any insight would be appreciated.
And just to let it be known, I have attempted to play tracks manually just to see if they are even workable transfers and I haven't come across any problems with the music that I put on the iPod.

It is true - "random" does not mean that you should not hear two songs from the same album (or artist) in close proximity. However, as the number of albums increases, the likelihood of hearing multiple (sometimes three or four) cuts from the same album decreases. And the chances of this happening EVERY time a new shuffle is started is even less likely. Comparing flipping a coin (a 0.5 probability of any given result) to a library with over 2000 albums (a .0005 probability of a track from any given album) is comparing apples to oranges. Also, given one of the posts above which indicated hearing the same *progression of songs* indicates that the mathematical algorithm used by Apple to simulate randomness (as there is no such thing as true randomness in computer programming) is just not up to snuff.

Why does Adobe 9 standard crash when using the digital signature

When using the digital signature in Adobe 9 standard it crashes, it has been repaired, uninstalled and reinstalled and still crashes when putting in the digital signature and not understanding why. Also the digital signature was redone. Your thoughts on this would be most helpful.

I had the same problems and was VERY frustrated.
I finally solved my problem by uninstalling reader 9.1, air, acrobat.com and THEN after a restart, installing a lite version of reader 9.1 from this site:

Why does Photoshop CC and Photoshop C6 running SOOO slowly when using Mixer brush tool??
Only to create one stroke it takes several seconds.

I have a new computer, a Mac Book Pro with 16 GB ram, so I have plenty of ram.

You really have to keep your brush size small with the Mixer Brush tool. And that necessitates keeping your canvas failry small as well.
Back a few years ago I did a whole painting with the Mixer Brush once and some of the bristle brushes - just to see if I could - and I found I had to really limit the brush size (e.g., to 50 to 75) in order to get enough responsiveness to keep painting. In that case my canvas was 4096 x 5120. It's not impossible to get a good, professional result, but you have to be careful about sizing things right.

Why does my Mac shut down when using Safari?

Every once in a while (randomly) my mac will reboot due to an error even when I only have the Safari Application open. How can I stop my mac from doing this. I have the 2011 macbook pro 13 inch with the latest OS (Mountain Lion). Everything is up to date but why does it keep shutting down?

Hi Sebaz, first try repairing permissions. Go to Applications-->Utilities-->select Disk Utility. Select your drive then select the First Aid button then at the bottom right click Verify Disk and after it verifies your drive click on Verify Disk Permissions on the left. If there any errors click on Repair Disk Permission. Reboot your machine and test your Safari to see if the issue comes back.

Why does my .vi not work when used as a sub vi

I have a vi that produces a picture on the front panel. Displayed in the picture are solid grey levels for testing. Two grey levels are chosen inside the vi and then the picture flickers betwen the two. When I run the vi by itself it runs wonderfully, but when I run it as a sub vi it does not work. Even when I just place the sub vi in the block diagram and connect all of the controls and indicators up it doesn't work.When I use the highlighter it shows that the control values go into the sub vi and the sub vi lights up, but there is nothing output from the sub vi to the wired indicators. When I open up the Block diagram of the original vi from which the sub vi came, and highlight it while running the subvi, it
shows that it is working with information running to all of the indicators. If I start a new program with only the sub vi in the block diagram and all of the controls and indicators connected, should it not behave as the sub vi? I will attach the vi that I am using as a sub vi, and I welcome anyone to place it in the block diagram of a new vi, connect all of the controls and indicators up and see if it works. I know that there is something completely obviopus that I am missing, but I can't see it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think the subVI is working just fine when called from the main. I think what you're expecting is an indicator on the main VI to update as the subVI runs. What you will see on the main front panel is just the last value that a subVI has. That is the intended behavior of subVIs and function calls in all other languages. If you want to to update a front panel indicator while a subVI runs, pass a reference to the indicator into the subVI and update that reference instead of the indicator on the subVI. The other way is via a global variable. I've attached a modified version of your porgram.

Why does diadem intellisense not work when using scriptinclude or for global object

I have a script with a different classes in it (scripted 1). When I create an object of a class in the script 1 intellisense works. Intellisense is when you type name of the object created from a class it shows all the possible variables and functions contained in that object. But when I write another script and use scriptinclude(scripted 1) the intellisense does not work. I also tried a global object and intesllisense does not work. Is there a way to get intellisense to work when using scriptinclude? I am working with version 2012.

Why does my dock get stuck when using full screen apps?

When using a full screen app like Safari, if I go back to my desktop and to the dock (which i keep minimized) it stays there when going back to the full screen app. I have to go back to the first page and hover over the dock to get it to go back. Not sure whats going on...

I may not have explained exactly...so basically when i go to the main desktop screen, and open a program or use the dock, it sometimes gets stuck in show mode. Then when i go back to the safari full screen app for instance, the dock stays up, with the latest program highlighted. In order to get the dock to go away, i need to go back to the desktop and hover over the dock again for it to hide.
I really hope someone else is experiencing this because its very annoying and I want apple to fix it quickly

Why does the "show the blocked pop-up" option not appear?

The pop-up blocker used to give the option to "show the blocked pop-up." This option is listed in parentheses on the Pop-Up Blocker help page. Since I upgraded to FireFox 9.0.1 (and still in 10.0) I often don't have the option to "show the blocked pop-up." Some sites are really unusable without this option.
There also used to be a question about this on the forums. It still shows up in a Google search, but not by searching FireFox Help. I'm running Windows XP, but the op was running Windows 7. I have not noticed the problem on my Linux machine at home.
My question is: Why does this option not (always) appear, and is there any way to make it appear?

You can set the default in "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins" and change that for the Shockwave Flash plugin to "Always Activate".
You can inspect and manage permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab via these steps:
*Click the "[[Site Identity Button|Site Identity Button]]" (globe/padlock) on the location/address bar
*Click "More Information" to open "Tools > Page Info" with the Security tab selected
*Go to the Permissions tab (Tools > Page Info > Permissions) to check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab

Why does LR5 Beta Keeps crashing when using the brush?

When i use the brush LR5 beta keeps crashing. I have Windows 7 OS. LR5 beta crashes when I am working with the brush on an image. I have to close and re open, but with brush it just crashes again either on the same image or working on another image. Any ideas please?
