The speakers on my IPAD 3 with the latest operating system sometimes stop wotking, then return later. Why?

Try a reset:

If the unit has NEVER been jailbroke, first try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless... Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

To elaborate a little more Nick, that is a feature designed to make it easier to type when holding the iPad with both hands.
If you tap the icon in the lower right of the keyboard, you will see the option to Merge the keyboard back together. If you hold the icon and drag your finger up and down, you will move the keyboard.

This error is generally specific to Internet Explorer and has two possible causes. The most likely explanation is that your browser has unusual browser security settings. I would recommend you try
resetting your security settings to defaults (varies by version but all essentially the same). You may also have to turn off
Protected Mode which is enabled by default on some systems. If you’re seeing this error (or a version of it) outside Internet Explorer, you may have a server-level setting that is preventing your content from being framed.

Why does the highlight feature seem not to work about 1/2 the time in various ibooks. I'm trying to take notes and about 50 pages into a book the highlight feature stopped working.

I've long noted that the highlight feature in ibooks is clunky and fairly limited in it's note-taking features, but the last two books I've read I've had trouble getting the highlight feature to work at all. I click and drag over text and nothing happens. I try with command depressed and nothing happens. If I double click a bunch it will eventually highlight one word, but nothing more. What gives?
Also, not to be snarky, but why can't I seem to find a button that would read text to speach for me? How do blind people use this service, or illiterate, or dyslexic, or people like myself who can learn far more from hearing then from reading.
And why does the text of a book often render so that it's haf cut off of the page?

There is a button for speech within the iBooks menu. Edit > Speech. You might be better off buying Audiobooks. You can get them from the iTunes Store or Audible.com

Why is the i-tunes download tell me is it coorupted during a download to an upgrade? Only 97% get downloaded? I've never had this happen before?

It could be there is a problem with that particular file if it keeps doing it.

Why is the speaker on my thunderbolt not working properly?

Only one side of the speaker on my Thunderbolt display appears to be working. Any ideas how I can fix this?

FYI - I was able to resolve this issue after doing a little more research online. I have no explanation as to why it occured, but the settings in my preferences (Output) had been switched to my internal speakers as opposed to the display speakers. It seems you have to toggle them between the internal speakers and then back to the display speakers to get it to go back and function properly. Viola! Back in business.

Why does iTunes crash with 'iTunes has stopped working' on startup?

This only happens when the computer is connected to the internet. If I switch wi-fi off first, iTunes can start, and then I can switch it on again, and it works just fine. It is really annoying! I have seen elsewhere that the 'iTunes has stopped working' message can be caused by outdated graphics card drivers. I have the latest version of both iTunes for Win 7, and the latest graphics drivers.
I have also tried 'repairing' iTunes, and deinstalling and reinstalling it.
The message 'accessing iTunes store' typically pops up just before iTunes crashes, about ten seconds after I click the iTunes icon to start it.
The error goes on to say 'A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.'

Why does Google Toolbar Single Word Translator stop working ?

This gave me a hell of a headache, because I use the Translator feature a lot, but after changing some browser preferences, it suddenly stopped working, pretty annoying,
but after hours of switching extension on/off, uninstalling, re-installing, profile trashing etc., I found the solution, if you choose to let Firefox "not remember your history", the translator stops working, no idea why, but it simply affects it.

Why does my airport express 2.4 stop working

I have my network wireless using the Airport Extreme Base station and extended by an Airport Express.
The 5Ghz band tends to work fine, but not all my devices support it so I rely heavily on the 2.4ghz radio.
that radio tends to fail about every other day. It just stops working.
The airport express light stays green, but has zero throughput.
The 2.4 from the Airport Base station fails too.
The only way I can get it working again is to reset the base station. Even then, it only works for a short period of time.
I checked to be sure nothing else was on the same frequency and have tried different frequencies/channels. No luck.
Please help?

I agree with John, this sounds like very classic interference.
Luckily, there are things that can be done to get around it. For instance, keeping your Airport away from other sources of interference: cordless phone cradles are the really nefarious ones, but satellite receivers tend to cause really unfortunate issues in the 2.4GHz range as well. If you have either of those nearby, try to get the Airport and these devices as far away from each other as possible.
Also, if you have 5+ other wifi networks in your area, these can also be scrambling your 2.4 signal. Try using Airport Utility to change your radio channel:
Version 5.5.3: Applications> Utilities> Airport Utility> Click on Airport device > Manual Setup> Wireless. Where it says Radio Channel, experiment with channels 3 and 9. Click 'update' after changing the channel.
Version 6: Same channels, but path is Applications> Utilities> Airport Utility> Click on Airport device > Edit> Wireless> Wireless Options

Have you used Google Drive for sharing? It is free and looks easy to do. I have not used it before. First try was successful. I did a mini test run just now. It seems to work so that I could take a file from my computer, marked it access to only those with the link, post the link in the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum reply, and being able to open the video there and download from there to my computer.
1. In the browser address bar, type in drive.google.com
2. In the page that opens,
Look to the left column - to see
Drive
Create (with an Upload button, arrow pointing upward, to the right of the word Create)
Click on that Upload button and select Files
In the File Upload dialog, browse to and select the file for sending. Then click Open at the
bottom of the File Upload dialog.
Now look to the bottom right to a pop up Upload Panel where you will see your file. When the upload is finished as indicated there, click on Share in the named file's line.
In the Share With Others, leave as is. Just click on the Advanced Button there.
In the Who Has Access, click on Change... on the line which starts with Private.
In the box that appears, turn On "Anyone with a ink". Click the Save button to close out of there.
In the Sharing Settings, copy the link to the Share and click Done.
Paste the link from in the Sharing Settings in a reply in your thread.

Why does my 9810's auto rotate stop working all of a sudden?

My 9810's PIN is: 2978D267
As said in title, the auto-rotate has ceased to work all of a sudden. I've tried removing the battery several times for total reboot and no luck, also tried drawing the keyboard back and forth and no dice. the other anomaly being the inability of recharging its battery with either 1A or 1.5A, wall socket dependant.
I am on the sixth month of use, the place I purchased this handset from is no longer exists so I have no idea how the promised 2 years warranty is supposed to be.
I hope that I can get some clue from here. Thanks.

Let's make sure we're on the same page. When you remove your battery, is your phone turned on? Yes = proper battery pull, no = nothing will happen.
If your phone is turned ON, then it's time for an OS reload using BlackBerry Desktop Software.
Try that and post back with your results.
