yes, the charger was working before.
so far i have:
1. updated my software
2. updated to battery 1.2
3. took off the "duck" plug and used the macbook pro cord that was provided
4. checked and cleaned the pins on the magsafe
5. checked and cleaned the magsafe port

Because NOTHING that is iOS supports Flash. Never has never will.
The only possible option is to try the Skyfire browser from the App store. It is an internet browser that converts flash to HTML 5 so that you can attempt to view it on iOS devices.
I have never tried it so I can tell you if it is any good, but it has gotten decent reviews.

The built in iSight cam doesn't have anything to do with embedded video on websites.
That site requires the latest Flash plugin.
Uninstall your current copy of Flash, then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Very imporant to uninstall the current Flash plugin first.
Then restart your Mac, launch Safari.
Go to your Safari menu bar, click Safari > Empty Cache
Now try a video.

Ralph9430 offers a good suggestion. But you may need to do this before taking his advice:
Check in iPhoto's Preferences (which you can open from the iPhoto menu). Look in General, and make sure "Connecting Camera Opens" is set to "Image Capture").
If it is set to "iPhoto", you won't be able to get to Image Capture easily.

No, posting on a site for a different product saying your product doesn't meet my needs make it like a Surface is trolling. Chiding someone who made a comment 2 years ago who isn't even here is trolling.
Basically what you did was buy a product that you knew didn't have 2 important features that you think are essential and now you want Apple to add that. And even if they did add that then you would be posting about the fact that you can't copy anything to the USB or microSD device and you can't copy apps, documents, etc. Which is because iDevices don't have an accessible file system. And you've already mentioned you want that. Due to security reasons it isn't going to happen.
What you've said you need is a table that is a full computer. You need to buy the Surface Pro (skip the RT, there are limitations you will not be happy with). It will give you a USB port, accessories for a microSD and a fully accessible file system.
The good news is Apple's devices hold resale value far, far better than any other comparable devices. So sell yours and get a Surace Pro. You will be glad you did.

Why does my trash hang on emptying?

I have an external G-Tech Raid drive attached to my MBP and just recently as I try to empty the trash it has started to hang. When I try empty the trash a message tells me I have 6 items more than I can see in the trash can. I am not super knowleagable about fixing this issue though I did download Cocktail last night and Trash It! but TI!does nothing and I cannot figure out Cocktail. I've got to get this problem fixed.

Assuming there is:
Start Terminal (in Applications/Utilities) and do the following:
copy/paste the following command into the line with the blinking cursor:
sudo rm -Rf ~/.Trash/*
then hit Enter.
It may ask you for your admin password, type it in and enter.
Now the Trash bin should be empty.
Quit Terminal.
Normally this "hanging" happens when a file in the trash bin is still in use: it is running or it is in an active application (for example a pdf file that was read into Preview and Preview is not quit.
