How much more detail can I give? My wife is donating me her Macbook, and I wanted to migrate my bookmarks from my windows XP machine. Her being helpful when I was out cutting firewood, installed sync on both computers and created an account for me, but nothing has worked because the "VERIFY" button on the email YOU sent me goes to ...

If I try to use the "RESET PASSWORD" or "FORGOT PASSWORD" links I eventually get to the same page.

I am filing a bug to further investigate the incident however, can you please verify the following:
This is still happening and that this still happens in Safe Mode [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
And do you allow Firefox to make redirects, or do you have a firewall/antivirus that may be blocking the redirect? [[Websites don't load - troubleshoot and fix error messages]]

This error is generally specific to Internet Explorer and has two possible causes. The most likely explanation is that your browser has unusual browser security settings. I would recommend you try
resetting your security settings to defaults (varies by version but all essentially the same). You may also have to turn off
Protected Mode which is enabled by default on some systems. If you’re seeing this error (or a version of it) outside Internet Explorer, you may have a server-level setting that is preventing your content from being framed.

Why does the drag and drop feature not work?

I have several files on my desktop. When I try to move them o a new location, they just 'snap back' to their original position. Why doesn't the drag and drop feature not function properly?

I'm just trying to move some files to a new position on the desktop.

Why does the power button intermittently fault -- Not work to wake up the phone?

Iphone 4 occassionally won't respond to the power/sleep button. Isn't stuck -- works normally much of the time, but occassionally acts as though the battery is dead. Have to plug into a power source to activate phone. Battery will show same charge it had before it went into sleep mode. Can be near fully charged and proceed working for the rest of the day just fine.
Button does not stick or seem faulty in any way. But, when you least need it to not work - such as in travel - or for emergences and have not power source to get to -- is bad. An unreliable phone for a doctor is not good. I have presented the problem to a few repair shops who are either not familiar with this behavior or suggest that is may be software rather than hardware. Something miss reading the battery to the phone indicating that the battery is dead when in fact it is not. Had the phone restored at the Apple store and this did not solve the problem.
It seems I did run across a blog that this occurred with some IOS update?
Would be grateful for advice.

I have not tryed it my self but it may work..
There are a simular trick to get the home button to work, here it is.
Open a default iOS application, such as Stocks, Calculator, or Weather
Press and hold down the Power button until the “Slide to Power Off” dialog appears, then release
Now press and hold the Home button until the “Slide to Power Off” screen disappears, quitting the application.

Why does the logic pro 9 upgrade not work on OS X 10.8.4 ?

Just decided to upgrade to logic 9 from my 8 (an upgrade from 6!) but I also have Protools on my computer (dont hate). Tools 11 needs 10.8.4 but the logic 9 update refuses to work with 10.8.4 ...BTW pro 8 is still working well on my system, but 9 has some additional cool featurs etc
Additionally an upate to Logic X loses all my 32bit plugins so...I am staying with 8/9 for a while ..any help to get 9 functional??

It is the installer that's quitting, or Logic Pro when you try to launch it? If the latter, download all the available updates, either through Software Update or the standalone downloaders;

I have been unable to find any app that works with Numbers on IOS7. I can still read them on IOS 6.1.3 with an iTouch.
Numbers on IOS devices still works.

What country are you in ? If you aren't in the US and the address on your account isn't in the US then try going to the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app on your iPad and tap on your account id, tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account, and then select the Country/Region section and select your country.

Are you certain that you are signed onto iTunes & Apps in the Canadian store?
Settings>iTunes & App Stores, click on your AppleID, and then click on View AppleID. Type in your password, then click on Country/Region. Once there, follow the prompts and then select the Canadian Flag.

There are a few things you can try. The first is to simply reset the Shuffle as it may be the cause of the issue.
Resetting iPod shuffle
Otherwise, also make sure that the earbuds are plugged all the way in and that the white part of the headset is flush with the body of the Shuffle.
If possible, use another set of earbuds to see if they work okay. If they do, we know its the headset that is the problem and from there you'll need to take the necessary steps to replace them.

Why does the "open with" function often not recognize valid file extensions

Sample situation: I often need to open JPGs downloaded from the Internet in Photoshop, but I need to keep the default program as Preview.
When I attempt to open the image in PS using the "Open With" function (in the Edit menu), there are often no choices - it's blank, so I need to open it in preview and then save it as a PSD file to quickly open in PS. Other times I will get a list of other installed programs like Excel, and need to scroll down to the "open with another program" button, where I need to manually find the PS application. Of course, I can always open the file from within PS, but why is the Apple option so seemingly arbitrary from one similar file to the next?
There is often no rhyme or reason for the programs it offers me.
This happens with other file extensions, too.
Is this a known bug?

It's up to the applications to declare what types of files they can open. They do so by storing the information in the CFBundleDocumentTypes section of the Info.plist file in the application's .app directory. If you know what you are doing, you can edit the plist file to add your own file types/extensions. Unfortunately, I don't know of a good application to do that for you (but it's not a bad idea for one, if I get the time).
