The built in iSight cam doesn't have anything to do with embedded video on websites.
That site requires the latest Flash plugin.
Uninstall your current copy of Flash, then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Very imporant to uninstall the current Flash plugin first.
Then restart your Mac, launch Safari.
Go to your Safari menu bar, click Safari > Empty Cache
Now try a video.

My wife has a Mac (OSX 10.6.8) and I recently bought her Elements 12. The organizer does not work on it? Is there any plan to have it work? I was told by a friend that support should be able to get it work for me.

I updated to Mavericks (10.9.3) and the organizer now appears to work.
However, it is extremely slow in previewing photos that were already on
the Mac and does not appear to be able to download photos from a Canon
5DIII. It appears to start but then spins and spins. It ran overnight
and was unresponsive this morning.
Do you have any ideas as to what to do to make this work?

We have a HD webcam pointed at a pooltable in our local poolbar. We use FMLE to stream to Dacast. To finish the project we want to automate the process: only stream between 17.00 and 01.00 hours every day.
It looks like FMLEcmd + batch/cmd files + scheduled tasks can make this possible.
I am diving into FMLEcmd. Starting up works fine. But stopping gives me troubles. I use the command: fmlecmd /s rtmp://live-ams.dacast.com/201346/21653+xxxx
Reply is: "Stop command send to FMLE."
Then i do fmlecmd /s and it says " All running FMLE sessions are: rtmp://live-ams.dacast.com/201346/21653+xxxx".
Questions:
1. What am i doing wrong here?
2. When starting a session through cmd, will it be visible when you open FMLE Gui?
Plan is to make two batchfiles: One to start FMLE streaming on a daily basis at 17.00 hours. And one to stop FMLE streaming at 01.00 in the morning. If somebody already has similar batchfiles ready for me to use, please let me know! If somebody has another solution for the above, also let me know!
Already implemented the reconnect interval and times in the XML file... that was needed...
Maybe stupid question: When i do the command "FMLEcmd", encoding starts, text displays "streaming to server", and i see bitrates moving. Is the only option then to close the command window? Because i see no cursor anymore?

ADDON: I just restarted my computer to stop the streaming session. But doing fmlecmd /s still says:

It doesn't give me an error message, it simply does not search. I type in my search term and it appears to search the document but then a dialogue box appears which says that my search term has not been found. This even happens when I am looking at a page in which my search term is clearly visible!
I am shutting down now until the morning as I have been working almost 12 hours.

Why does the GPS not work with other programs?

It works ok with Blackberry maps. But there are about 5 or 6 programs that I use that will not lock GPS. The one that really florred me was the camera. I sit there and sit there waiting for the gps to lock on (turn from red to white) and nothing happens. We all know that google maps doesnt work (it only will use cell towers. After the STORM disater you would have thought RIM would have been a bit more careful with thier OS's. Hope they get a fix out soon.

Why does the sound not work on my iPad air ?

The sound won't work on the iPad air I got 4 Xmas but I'm not sure if Apple will accept it back as I'm not sure when it was bought. The sound works on FaceTime and iMessage ring tones but not on apps/YouTube. It doesn't say head phones when I change the volume an I have shut the iPad down I've tuned the ringtone switch on and off , I've cleared all apps ,I've tried to look throughout settings but nothings working. Some times it works some times not .eg.as I left the house to pick my son up I was on an app and the sound was normal.it was normal when I looked on YouTube too when I came back but now. no sound only on iMessage and face time it did this the other day to and it hasn't been knocked .HELP ME!

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

Why does the disk not work anymore in my mac?

I've been using the same two discs to revise for my driving theory test in the same MacBook Pro and never had any problems. Now today, suddenly it has decided to stop working, both of them. When I click the icon to open the application and go through the normal steps it says there's an error. I put the disc back in after taking it out and just waited to see if the application would open itself and my comptuer just ejects the discs. I really don't understand why this is happening because this has never happened before and before you ask, yes both discs are clean and neither are scratched.

Try restarting your Mac and try again.
If that didn't help, startup in Safe Mode
A Safe Mode boot takes longer than a normal boot so be patient.
Once you are in Safe Mode, click Restart from the Apple menu then try the discs.
Safe Mode clears system caches that may help.

I have an ipod video. I dl'd some cartoons. I converted them to the correct format. They transfer onto my iPod, however the video does not play. The sound plays and a small box to the left shows a frame of the cartoon. Alot like music, it looks like there is an album cover, except with its the frozen frame of the opening scene of the cartoon. SO pretty much the audio plays and the video doesnt. help me

Welcome to Apple Discussions!
On your iPod, go to Videos-->Video Settings-->TV Out-->Off (Or you can set it to Ask and then choose TV Off when it asks you before you play a video).
Right now, your iPod has been told to send the signal out to a TV, so there is no need to display the video on the screen. By changing it to Off, the iPod knows you want to watch it on the iPod.
Also, make sure you are accessing all videos through the Videos menu (and not Music).

Why does the mic not work in the phone app?

The microphone has stopped working on my phone. However this only occurs during the use of the phone. The mic works fine for voice memo. Anybody have a solution for this? The apple store could not help.

Did you do any of the basic troubleshooting steps, as needed, described in the User Guide?

Reset phone
Restore in iTunes using a backup
Restore as a new phone, without using a backup

I've tried to download oracle 8i personal edition for win 95/98/me and it doesn't work.
It says "Jrew has caused an error in java.dll. Jrew will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer"

Try to boot Windows in Safe mode by pressing the F8 key on the boot screen to see if that allows to delete the file.
You may also have to do a disk check with the chkdsk.exe program in a Command (cmd.exe) window to see it the file is corrupted.

I borrowed the image below for an HDR workshop I ran at the 2010 PSNZ National Convention, to demonstrate a method of removing halos. You'll remember that halos were a serious problem with early HDR, and while the halos in this image were caused by over sharpening, they are perfect for demonstrating this technique.
It relies on the fact that halos so often tend to put a lighter tone between the two areas where sharpening is being applied. Whether that is the sky abutting a dark line of hills, or the rock and little tower as in this image. I've uploaded it at the size it was supplied to me at (about 2700 pixels wide). So
Click to open the full image, right click and copy, and paste into Photoshop.
Select the clone tool, and set its blend mode to Darken.
Try to sample on a line horizontal to where you want to clone, to give the best tonal match, and start cloning.
Because the sky is darker than the halo, it overwrites it. But the rock is darker than the sky, so it has no affect.
It works even better if you clone on a new layer also set to Darken. No masking, just Photoshop blend mode magic.
You can also fix the little tower. Use a great big brush — just remember to sample horizontal to match the horizon.
Back then I was using the same trick with CAs after forgetting to fix them in ACR, and having done too much work to start again after spotting the problem.

IE uses a different version of Flash than other browsers use. You need to install the Plugin version of Flash for Firefox.
1.Download the Flash setup file from here: 
[http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe Adobe Flash - Plugin version]. 
Save it to your Desktop. 
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit 
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed, 
{XP: Ctrl+Alt+Del, Vista: Shift+Ctrl+ESC = Processes tab}
3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.
