Why does video stop playing and restarting?

Mostly you tube and netflix. The video will play for a couple seconds then stop, then start, then stop...I am sick of looking at the spinning wheel and being able to watch video. Is this an Adobe Flash Player issue and how do I fix it?

I am sick of watching the spinning wheel and NOT being able to watch video. Is there an alternative to Adobe Flash Player? Will Quick Time play these videos? Can you set it to be the default player?

    Hi. I feel your pain my friend.  This is so annoying it makes me want to cancel my "pro" subscription. I think it has to do with other audio from a web page (includes Facebook) overriding Spotify's audio. I have looked all over Spotify to see if there is an override the override setting.  I can't find it. Maybe this bumps up this thread so we get some sort of answer.  I wouldn't mind it even if we got it's not possible. At least then we'd know. That's the problem with forum posting - you never know if you're going to get an answer pee what kind of answer it may be.  As the headline says this forum is not sourced from Spotify. hoibie

  • Itunes randomly stop playing and restarts playing like a pause when playing music.

    My itunes the latest version 11.1.3 stop playing music randomly and start playing it again. It almost like its buffering itself.
    My hard drive is not full.
    Already tried to repair disk etc.
    I do not know what to do it all start its skipping when I upgraded to OSX Mavericks.
    Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

    Happens to me as well but not started in mavericks all started with Mountain Lion , a few weeks before he left mavericks , I thought the problme would be solved by updating , but he did not, it's very frustrating strange thing is that in my case not only iTunes is , if any player, have proven Vox and another which I forget the name .
    I also feel the same when you play a song in quick look ( Finder) .
    I am desperate this problem is with me for the last month and a half went to a apple store and tell me that my machine has nothing that can not help me, and tried everything , reset my machine with a clean install , restart PRAM , repair permissions hise disk hardware test , and nothing has changed.
    When iTunes pause my machine freezes a moment and returns to normal when continuous playback , stops about 1s though sometimes hard to 5s .
    We appreciate if you find solution , because I am going crazy . Since neither in apple have been able to help me .
    My machine is a Macbook Pro late 2012. Mavericks , iTunes 11.1.3 did not correct my mistakes. Do not know what else to try .

    Sounds like a possible hardware problem.
    The iPhone includes a one year warranty. If AppleCare is available and/or an Apple Store in your country, call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby. If AppleCare is not available in your country and the same for Apple retail stores, the official carrier for the iPhone should handle iPhone warranty claims.

    my firefox page freezes then a box opens that says shockwave has stopped working would you like to continue i say yes it stays frozen then opens again asking the same question so i hit no and it works for a little while then does it all again, i've updated my shockwave a few different times. still having the same issue.

    Please post a screen shot of the dialog box here. I'll bet any money that it cites "Shockwave Flash", in which case you should search for, and then post again if you still need to, on a forum for the Flash Player

    I can use the smart brush tool until I need to change the color. The second I try to change the color of my object, I get a pop up window that says there is a problem and windows has to close to the program. I have already restarted my computer and it still does it.

    There is an update available for Elements 13 which has stability fixes. Please install this update and let me know if you are still facing this issue.

    I know the iPhone is a phone first and the rest follows, but it surprised me that the Iphone stopped recording a video I was making when a call came in.
    I would like the choise to ignore the call an keep on recording.
    I can't find a setting for this.

  • Why is my ipad2 not buffering videos streaming from web as quickly as it can play them and keep making my videos stop playing?

    When I try watching videos streaming from itunes or u tube or any streaming source the ipad2 does not buffer the videos as fast as they are being played. This makes the videos stop playing within a few seconds after they start and I have to continuously hit the play button to watch videos in bits and pieces. This makes the streaming of videos on this device virtually impossible.

    You may be having some problem in your local network or your internet connection is not fast enough to properly stream the videos.
    What type of internet connection are you using (cable, DSL, etc?)
    What sort of local network do you have? router make/model, etc.
    What other traffic is on your network?

  • I was downloading music to my iTunes account and playing music from my I tunes library when all of the sudden it stopped playing and the control panel won't let me restart the music.....why

    I was downloading music cd from my PC to my I tunes library and playing music on the I tunes player at the same time when all of the sudden my music stop playing and I can't get the I tunes player to restart playing music from my library again. The I tunes equalizer / player box with timer shows the song ready to play but the controls won't restart the song.......why not, and how to I get it to restart playing my library?

    - You need to restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod and start anew.  Is the restore button visable in iTunes?  If it is they restore the iPod.
    - If it is not visible try resetting the iPod:
    Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
    button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - If the restore button is still not visable, try placing the iPod in recovry mode.  See:

    If you have lost all sound and video is freezing on you, that ain't good. Your iPad is two months old so I would not hesitate to contact Apple at all. You are entitled to 90 days of phone support.

    If you want to try a couple of things on your own, try quitting all apps and then reboot the iPad - not so much for the sound issue itself - but more as a general "start all over again" sort of approach. It might help with the video freezes.
    Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Reboot the iPad.
    Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    If you use headphones on occasion, you can try plugging and unplugging those as well and see if the sound comes back.
    You could even try restoring the iPad to factory settings and then restore from a backup, but unless there is something totally hosed on the iPad, that should not be necessary with a two month old device - of course assuming that you didn't drop the iPad or do something accidental that could be causing the problems.

    What apps are open and are you really still only on 10.5.1??????? At the very least please update your profile, also please remember to post more information. I suspect it's something going on with just your user account. You can verify that by creating another user account (call it TEST ACCOUNT) and log into that account and test. Once this has been verified then you will need to check which apps are running to determine what is causing your issue.
