Why does WIndows 7 OS taskbar disappear from bottom of the screen when in Firefox.

I have gone through all of the Mozilla steps for fixing the problem, such as Troubleshooting, Reset Firefox, going to Start Menu>Control Panel>Taskbar properties.
The thing is, on the "Taskbar appearance" tab, there is no box to click that says anything like "Keep taskbar on top of all screens."
I also have seen something about an .rdf(?) file. I have no idea where to find that...

I think your task bar setting is okay: it is not set to auto-hide.
Can you pull up the bottom of the Firefox window to above the task bar using this keyboard-based method:
While Firefox is active, press Alt+Spacebar to activate the window control menu. Press s to select Size, then down arrow once to select the bottom border, then up arrow repeatedly until the window clears the Task Bar, then press Enter to finish.
If Size is not available, your window may be maximized. Since you can't resize a maximized window, you may need to use the next method...
Here's the part about the RDF file: Sometimes the file that stores the positions and sizes of windows becomes corrupted. You can rename the file, but a side effect is that your toolbar customizations will be lost, as they are stored in the same file. If you want to try it:
Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using
Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button
Leaving that folder open, switch back to Firefox and Exit
Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename '''localstore.rdf''' to something like localstore.old
Restart Firefox. You should have default windows sizes and positions.

first of all was your ipad dropped on a hard floor or something if not then you should just take it to apple as that is not normal you should probably get the device replaced

Why does my external drive disappear from my desktop?

I am switching from PC to Mac. I have 2 externaldrives. Both have been formatted in FAT 32 by the MAC. When I plug them in the desktop and finder see them, then with both of them they have disappeared from the desktop and from finder. Still can be seen in disk utility and system profiler. How can I find them and why does this happen?

If you daisy chained then try without. May not be enough power to handle both at sme time. Other than that read some info:
1. Shut-down your Mac, and unplug the power cord
2. Turn the power off on your external FireWire devices
3. Unplug the FireWire devices from the Mac
4. Wait for 5 min.
5. Plug the power cord to your Mac only
6. For PPC Macs: Restart the Mac while holding the Option-Apple-O-F, and keep holding until you get the ">" prompt, then release the keys
7. At the ">" prompt type:
      reset-nvram and hit the Return key
      set-defaults and hit the Return key
      reset-all and hit the Return key
the last command will restart your mac
8. Shut down your Mac
9. Connect all your FireWire devices to the Mac and turn them on
10. Restart your Mac.
All your FireWire devices should reapear, if not repeat the procedure
How to avoid the issue :
The only really proven way to avoid burning up a FireWire port is to connect all devices and to turn them on PRIOR turning on the Mac. Likely, one must unplug them and turn them off AFTER the Mac has been turned off. If you need to connect another device, then you're on for a shutdown of your machine...  It's a tad annoying but it guarantees that the FW ports won't be damaged.  Be careful when using self powered devices such as webcams, iPods, hard drives or hubs, as they can destroy the port pretty easily. Another thing is to avoid daisy-chaining hard drives.
When the FW port doesn't respond anymore :
In this case, peripherals won't be mounted upon plugging, and won't be displayed in Apple's System Profiler. The self powered devices will still be fed by the port, but won't respond either.  It happens that the PHY just hangs after a surge or a random problem. Once hung, the port will not respond any longer, it is possible to reset the component by going through the following steps :
1° boot the PPC mac in Open Firmware by holding [ Apple key - Option - O - F ] after the startup chime.  2° you'll get to a command prompt. the keyboard mapping will be QWERTY, so pay attention when you type the following :  RESET-NVRAM (enter)  RESET-ALL (enter)  3° Now the mac should restart itself and the port should function properly again.  If it still doesn't work, then it means that the PHY is damaged.

A: With nearly every OS update Apple releases, some external drives are not recognized after the update. The typical symptom is that the device will not mount but the volume is visible and grayed out in Disk Utility. Connect the drive that is having problems, then start the Disk Utility application. If you see the external drive and it is not grayed out, you know the drive is okay. Run Disk First Aid on it anyway. Then run it on your internal boot drive while you are at it. When done, unmount the external drive and UNPLUG it! Then restart the Mac.
When the Mac has restarted and is running on the internal boot drive, reconnect the external drive.

Why does my Logic Pro (downloaded from App Store) suddenly hang when I load it up? Made no changes, can't figure it out.

Suddenly stopped working.
It hangs at 'Loading core audio'. Cannot figure out for the life of me why.
Tried installing a version from disc, but it said it was not compatible with Mountain Lion. I'm running 10.8.2.
Did no updates, nothing. Just suddenly will not work.
Have tried reinstalling etc. etc., but again, nothing.

Why does Adobe keep crashing for no reason on the newer versions of Firefox?

I tried updating the flash player after updating to the newest version on Firefox and it still doesn't work. That flash player problem needs to get fixed. This is so annoying! It does that on versions higher than Firefox 13.
I also have the hardware acceleration turned off.

this is fucking nonsense. no matter what ver ion you choose for both ff and flash its always crashing on my PC .

Pages 2, 3, 4, etc. start at the bottom of the screen when viewing online

On my website (which consists of pictures), if you're at the end of page one and click on page 2, you automatically start at the bottom of the next page. So, if you have two pages and the second page doesn't have many pictures on it, when you go to the next page, you're in blank space unless you scroll up to the top. Which means a lot of people viewing the website will think there aren't any more pictures left or will sit there waiting for them to download. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Where are you publishing to - MobileMe or another server?
Try publishing your site to a folder on the desktop and double click the index.html file to launch your site directly in Safari from your hard drive and check to see if the pages are loading the same as they do on the internet.
If the problem is still there you are doing something wrong in iWeb. If they are OK then the problem is a publishing one.

Why does my iPhone keep disappearing from my list of avalilable wi-fi networks?

Everything works out fine initially but if I close my MacBook, it can´t find my Phone again amongst the available Wi-Fi networks.
To make it work, I then have to turn off, and then on the Internet Sharing again, and now it can find it. Why is that? Is there any way to make sure my iPhone is visible permanently?

It's normal for the WiFi connection to be dropped when the phone sleeps, and will take 5 - 45 seconds to reconnect when waking. This is a battery conservation measure and is common with most laptops when they sleep.
You can maintain a continuous WiFi connection (if your router is not set to time out) by disabling cell network data connection:
Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data > OFF

Why does apple Remote app disconnect from itunes all the time

I have downloaded the apple remote app on my iphone 5 and have successfully attached it to my itunes library via Homeshare.
However, if i leave my phone and it goes into the suspended mode it will not be able to find the itunes library again.
To do so, i have to turn off the HomeSharing facility on itunes, then turn it on again. Then the iphone Remote app will find the itunes library.
Please please please can someone help me as it's doing my brain in?!?!?
I am running the itunes program on a PC.

Why does my printer print pictures from IPad in the wrong size?

I have my IPad connected to hp wireless printer, but everything I print is in a different scale and half of the content is missing off the page. I have tried to print through hp eprint app but this still doesn't print the picture correctly. Any ideas? It's driving me mad!

Hi - I couldn't find anything on the b109n, but try following the steps in this document for the b209. It may be a simple as it being out of black ink or there being a problem with the black ink cartridge.

Why does my mac say "failed to connect to the device" when I try to print through airport express?

So a little back ground. I have a unibody 2 ghz core 2 duo running 10.5.8 and a mac book air running 10.7.5. I set a airport express and added a new printer to both computers using bonjour. My mac air has no problem connecting and printing but my unibody does. The "failed to connect to device" message come up after I open print que for that printer and then utility. It unibody sees the printer through bonjour and installs the printer but when asked to connect, nothing happens. can anyone help please?

If you updated from a previous version of OS X to 10.9 and had an older version of driver installed, then you can get this message. Sometimes a quick fix is to reset the printing system. Note that this action will remove all devices from the Printers & Scanners preference pane, but not the supporting drivers, so if you do have other printers or scanners on this Mac you will have to add them again.

Why does iTunes say it is not connected to the internet when the connection is active?

No problems running iTunes on Windows XP machine with Norton Internet Security.
Moved to new computer with Windows 7 - still running Norton Internet Security. iTunes does not start when iPhone4 is connected with USB cable. Worse problem is that all internet activity (check for updates, activate this computer, etc.) is halted with message that computer is not connected to the internet... but it is. All browser and email activity works right.
Do I have a Windows 7 setting problem, a Norton Internet Security setting problem, an iTunes setting problem?

For the device connectivey issues try Andrei Cerbu's post here or see TS1538: iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows, in particular section 5, forcing a driver update.
I suspect Norton's firewall is blocking iTunes. I can't tell you offhand where to look to tweak things.

Why does it force me to put apps in the trash when i try and open them?

I download the .dmg files from the internet to install software, and when i try and open it tells me that it must be moved to the trash because it's damaged, and even when i copy them to the app folder before hand it doesnt work... any help?

Why do my finder links expand at the bottom of the screen when I roll over them?

I turned my computer back on and now my finder buttons on my bottom menu bar (where iTunes, safari etc. is) expand to enlargen each app when I roll over them. How did this happen? How do I stop it?
