Why doesn't a Popup Key LOV (named LOV) in a tabular form not display values in the popup?

I have a tabular form and I'm setting one of the fields to a Popup Key LOV (named LOV). The named LOV is a static LOV. When the popup is displayed there are no values displayed. The same thing happens if I use a Popup LOV (named LOV).
I created a sample application http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=15762:1that shows what happens. When the job field popup is selected, no items are displayed. If I change the item to a Select List (named LOV) it works fine.
Is this a bug?

I have a tabular form.
I have a column where I insert values based on the named list of values. I make the field of "Popup LOV (named LOV)" type. However, ApEx allows the values to be either picked from the popup list or entered manually into the field's text field. I want to prevent the user from being able to manuall enter the values into the field and force the use of the popup LOV.
I know that selecting Popup LOVs for regular items in a region make the text field "disabled" disallowing direct entering of values. However, for tabular forms' fields, this does not seem to be the case.
Is there a style I can add to the attribute to make this happen?

Hi Boris,
I'm glad that you are learning things through this forum!
You can't validate tabular form items using the normal Item Level validation - as this is for page item names only (that is, P1_EMPNO for example).
You can do validation using PL/SQL in a Page Level Validation. There are a number of examples on how to do this on this forum. Here's one by Denes: [http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=31517:41]
When you submit a tabular form page, Apex creates collections for each "fnn" set of items. "f01" items are stored in APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01, "f02" items are stored in APEX_APPLICATION.G_F02 and so on. To validate any item, you loop through one collection and check its value or the values in the same position on the other collections.
In Denes's example, he is looping through the "f02" items (that is APEX_APPLICATION.G_F02 from 1 to APEX_APPLICATION.G_F02.COUNT) and checks the values in the "f07" (APEX_APPLICATION.G_F07) and "f08" (APEX_APPLICATION.G_F08) items. The items are stored in their collections in the same order as they appear on the page, the first item in G_F01 is on the same row as the first item in G_F07 and so on. The validation(s) to perform will depend on your requirements.
In the example, Denes is using a "Function Returning Error Text" validation. In these, you either return a string containing the error or NULL (meaning no error has been found).

Why are animated gifs not displaying animations in the preview?
My coworkers and I are not seeing a animation in the preview pane in Adobe Bridge CS6 even when clicking the play button in the preview window. However, we do see a graphic of the first frame and one person sees 1 frame when clicking play and one other frame and then the animation stops, however, that is not the complete animation.
I'm using Windows 7 32 bit
My coworkers are using a mac.
One coworker has apple OS Mountain Lion with a Intel Quad-Core Xeon – 64 bit system.
Is this fixable or in the works as a patch? Otherwise we have to open these docs in a browser in order to view them properly.

I've just come to the realization that some animated gifs do play fine and others do not. A coworker of mine suggests that if it's an animation made via Adobe Photoshop, it'll work in bridge but will not if it's made using something else.

Not able to get the popup in WEB UI

We are implementing CRM 7.0 for the first time.We are using WEB UI to create contact persons.When users enters first name,last name,country and e-mail address.We have to do the validation in the system whether this is already exist in the system or not. If it is already exist,have to give table data(list of records) using popup.
Same logic works for me in SAPGUI using Transaction 'BP' with the popup...But, in WEB UI it is not working.I looked at the forums and try to find the solution...I did find,but not in-detail steps.
1. I have used transaction 'BSP_WD_CMPWB' to create new component for the copy of 'BP_ADDR'.
2. I created structure and follwed the steps.But,nothing is working

To create a pop-up in Web UI you need to create a new BSP component (for the pop-up) and set-up a link in the copy of the BSP component that you created. To set this link you need to configure inbound and outbound plugs in this two custom components and call the pop-up (BSP component) from a event method of your choice (methods of the implementation class in the view of BSP).
At the moment I don`t have any documentation of how create this link, but I will try find some of this in this forum.

The LOV modal window could not return value to the base page

when practicing the "create1" task in tutorial, met an issue.
when create an employee, manageName is a messageLovInput and managerID is a messageTextInput.
The issue is the LOV modal window could not return value to the mangerName, but can return to managerID .
If I remove the data boud porperties of the managerName (the bc4j porperties of view name-EmpFullVO and view attribute-MgrName), the lov works fine.
What is the reason?

James I would suggest to read the LOV topic in OAF developers' guide. Lov mappings are responsible for bringing pop up values to base page in LOV.

Itunes store does not display with in the itunes player, why?

I have latest iTunes download. I have PC with Windows Vista. My system requirements are what they should be for the iTunes player. I have gone through all of the troubleshooting that i am willing to go through to make this work - Can someone !! Tell me why does the iTunes store NOT DISPLAY with in the iTunes Player?
I click on the iTunes Store from the iTunes player...center screen with in the player shows that its "Accessing iTunes Store" when its finishes - the screen remains blank! and stays like that...

Also , my Safari acts the same why...i open the browser and the Screen just sits there never finding, opening, or access anything from the web...YES I am connected to the internet? SO why does Safari sit there...

UUT serial number is not displayed in batch results popup window?

UUt serial number is not displayed in batch results popup window. I am using TestStand 2012 SP1 f1 (5.0.1.66). I am also using Prebatch callback and setting up
Parameters.ModelData.TestSockets[index].UUT.SerialNumber with the UUT serial number. I have used the exact sequence file with TestStand 4.2 (4.2.0.134) with no problems.

Sorry for my late reply I was away for work. I actually revisited the code that I implemented with TestStand 4.2 (4.2.0.134) and it is showing the exact problem. Sorry for misleading you. however the UUT report is showing the correct serial number for each unit. This would be something that is nice to have but not critical for my project. I am basically auto discovering all my UUT so instead of scanning the serial number I read it from the UUT memory so there are a lot of steps in my PreBatch call-back but they are all related to reading the UUT serial number. Once I read all the UUTs serial numbers I set the following in a for loop:
Parameters.ModelData.TestSockets[Locals.For_Loop_Index].UUT.SerialNumber =StationGlobals.UUT_Serial_Numbers[Locals.For_Loop_Index]
I tried to implement my a simple PreBatch with only a for loop and an array of serial number and I ended up with the same issue. So I am suspecting that the batch report is getting the serial numbers from a different variable and that variable is set when you run the batch option without the PreBatch call-back.

Why doesn't my arrow keys work?

I can not use my arrow keys. When I got into my messages and try to use the arrow keys it brings me back to the main screen.

I filmed a golf swing with my Casio Exilim at 450 fps and transferred the video to my computer. I opened them in QuickTime and encountered the issue. On my old iMac, I could advance the film frame by frame using the arrow keys but on my laptop it won't.
Not familiar with all of the cameras in this line and, as you didn't give a model number, there is no way to look up additional information. However, assuming the "new" platform is running the QT X player (i.e., you still have not indicated which app you are trying to view the file in), and your "old" system may have had the QT 7 Player installed, then you could try simply installing the QT 7 Player v7.6.6 or MPEG Streamclip as previously indicated. If the problem is merely due to the excessively high frame rate (I.e., if your camera does not shoot "muxed" MPEG-2 video) then these QT 7 based apps should work the same as they did on your older system assuming the new system is properly configured with the correct codec components. (I.e., many Casio cameras use compression formats in the AVI file container which may require the Perian codec package also be installed for proper playback.)

Return multiple values for the popup LOV

I have one challange. I have a search engine and there is an popup lov and its having three Display and 3 Retun value such as

such as SAP+DBA+HR this return values are from 3 cloumn names from same table ie. A column, B column, C column
and when i click on submit button this return values from 3 columns values should assign to the 3 column such as
A=SAP, B=DBA and C=HR and search fetchs the result in a Report.
Its some thing new, is it possible..:)

Tooltip popup on a tabular form to display data

on a tabular form I have a comments field that can become much larger than the size of the filed on the screen and the user doesn't want to scroll..
I want to do a javascript onHover to display the full amount of data in a popup tooltip bubble.. similar to some of these:

LOV does not return value to the base page sometimes

Hi,
I have created messageLOV type items. These LOVs do return value to the base page usually. We have a user in Uruguay who is trying to use the page which has the LOVs. He says the LOV takes a long time to return to the main page after he clicks on quick select and also the value does not get populated in the main page.
We have not been facing any such problem here in India. The LOV has been tested rigorously with no issues as such.
Can you please suggest a reason why such a problem is occuring? Expecting your replies soon

Can you please give me the inputs about the creation of LOV and it requires how many lov mappings as mandatory?
This is there in the devguideHow to identify the mapping fields of an LOV which is already existing in the base page to reproduce in a similar way and need to do a customization on top of it ?

Named Criteria created, but it does not show up in the Data Controls view

Hello there,
I wish to use a data-bound ADF Mobile ListView in one of the pages on the app. However, only entries of the underlying data that fulfill a certain condition shall be displayed in the list. The condition basically is an "Equals" test against a bind variable in the pageFlowScope. Therefore, I have created a corresponding Named Criteria for the data control - proceeded like described here:

The Named Criteria, in my case, has been created and saved, yet it does not show up in the Data Controls view of JDeveloper. Therefore, I cannot drag it on a UI element to use it.
I only have the "Operations" folder where the quick guide above also shows a "Named Criteria" folder.
Refreshing or restarting JDeveloper did not solve this.

Right side of a shuttle - Retunr id and not the display value of the LOV.

Hi all,
The matter is how to populate/persist right-side of Shuttle in apex 4.0.1 after submit. The only problem I have is that the values
on the right side of the shuttle are dispayed as (retun value of the LOV) and not as (dislay valueo of the LOV). What I'm missing.
There is a way to pre-load dynamically, so depending on a query, a set of values on the right of the Shuttle, and then allow end user to change the preselection adding or removing values.?.

On page load you need to set the page item value to a colon separated list. Basically just reverse what ever processing you are doing on submit.
