Why doesn't Adobe recognize my password on my iPad?

Unfortunately my iPad2 went for a swim the other day and drowned----serious user error.  Fortunately the user (me) had backed up the iPad on a regular basis so all data, aps and setting were recovered.  The only serious glitch occured when I tried to open my books downloaded from the library using OverDrive. ADOBE popped up and asked me to enter my ID and Password.  When I did, Adobe did not recognize me, declared all of my books as "Invalid Titles" and directed my to 'verify your ADOBE ID and try again.'  I tapped the OK but then nothing else happened.
Where do I go to verify?  I checked in settings but couldn't find anything that looked helpful.
Please help.....my check out itme for book 5 of Dance of Dragons expired before I could finish.  . . .sooo sad. I read lots of books from the library this way and right now I am completely locked out.

I'm wondering if you did the Overdrive update that was just released before your iPad got wet? I think there may have been issues with the update and Adobe Authorization as I had the same problem. But I was getting an Adobe Authorization Error 256 message every time I tried to authorize and it was not working for 3 days. I did delete Overdrive from my iPad ( not recommended unless you have to) then reinstalled, then I synced my iPad to my computer. Still couldn't get it to authorize.
This is what I did and was able to get it working...
In settings at the top it should say Adobe Authorization, click authorize it should ask for your ID and password click authorize may take a minute, if that doesn't work I did the following.
In settings I turned off Auto play, Cellular download, automatic downloads and auto check messages. I then tapped clear deleted titles even though there weren't any, then I tapped check for messages.clicked ok when it said there were none. Then clicked Authorize, tried two times with everything off then when it didn't work I turned on all the settings I had turned off ,did the Authorization again and it worked. I was able to download the books from the library directly from my iPad.
I hope this helps, I know how frustrated I was when I couldn't get it to work!

  • TS2972 My apple tv keeps telling me that my apple id can't be found or my password was incorrect.  I am positive it is correct! Why doesn't it recognize my password?

My Apple TV keeps telling me that I need to enable home sharing which I have done before.  However when I try to do that it says that I need to enter my Apple ID and password.  Now it won't recognize my password either.  It gives me a message saying the password can't be found or that the password is incorrect.  I know it is correct.  But I actually went online and changed it just to get things up and running again.  I STILL get the same message!  Any suggestions?

Yes it is.  I have restored the settings twice and each time it gets stuck when it is setting the time and date. Once I set it manually I proceed to set up the home sharing but each time I put the id and password it says it can't be found or wrong password.

  • Why doesn't adobe just join the AAF/Turakiri/Incommon and accept Institution credentials?

Why doesn't adobe just join the AAF/Turakiri/Incommon and accept Institution credentials?
I'm just going through the academic purchase process. Talk about inefficient.
Australia and New Zealand have established Access Federations which allow students and staff to use their own institutional credentials to log into web applications.
Almost all universities and a lot of polytechs have joined these Access Federations.
Adobe would be better off enabling federated login to prove that staff and students are who they say they are rather than use the current antique approach to validating memberships of insitutions.
    Go see www.aaf.edu.au or tuakiri.ac.nz

Thanks for the suggestion Timu. I will pass it on.

  • Why doesn't Adobe market an ereader device that supports PDF?

Why do I have to have my books converted to epub format, when customers would just as soon read pdfs, which would be much easier for me to create? I'm told it's because Kindle and the rest of the players aren't supporting pdf. So why doesn't Adobe support it and market it as an ereader platform? They could make money with ereader devices and marketing channels that do support pdf. Adobe's response was to bring out their ereader software, but there are too many of those platforms already. PDF on the other hand has the biggest customer base in the world. Is Adobe missing out here, being focused too exclusively on software and not aware of the kind of opening Amazon jumped on? Kindle has come from nowhere to dominate the market. Adobe could have a good share by marketing a pdf reader. Granted PDF doesn't wrap lines, but if you make the pages small, to fit in an ereader window, there are a lot of advantages to having page numbers too.

I'm also waiting for this feature.

  • Why doesn't adobe PDF pack convert font jester when converting pub documents to pdf documents?

Why won't adobe PDF pack convert font JESTER from a pub to a pdf file?  It converts the JESTER headings to font ARIAL instead.  When I was using windows XP and Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional the conversion came across as JESTER like I wanted.

I have tried to upgrade, install and reinstall Flashplayer unsuccessfully on my Mac OX 10.7.5 version.  I had it previously, and then suddenly I was told to upgrade, and could never get any further.  It won't recognize my password no matter what I do.

  • Why doesn't Firefox recognize the Windows Live Mail login page as such and offer to remember the password?

For most other sites' login pages, Firefox recognizes that they are login pages and offers to remember my password. For the Windows Live Mail login page it does not.

That log in page is created via JavaScript and the Password Manager doesn't work in that case.
You can see that if you inspect the page source.
*Firefox > Web Developer > Page Source
*Tools > Web Developer > Page Source (Ctrl+U)
*Right-click on a web page to open the right-click context menu and select Page Source

  • Why Doesn't Adobe Have a Cool Logo to Use?

I was looking for the "official" Adobe logo to place on my Photoshop portfolio with tagline "Built with Adobe" and can't seem to figure out what is their logo and where to download it.
The image searches all look like knockoffs.
Apple on the other hand, has the Iconic Finder face and Apple logos everywhere...does Adobe frown on people using their logo — why isn't it easily available (or am I somehow missing it)?
    Where is it?

I agree about the Apple sticker. I have two in the side windows of my Bug. Actually they're more of an "ice breaker" than they are a way of saying Made on a Mac. My VW was made on an assembly line in Wolfsburg, Germany, but people see the stickers and they say, "Hey, I just switched to Mac!" And even if they don't know about forty-year-old air cooled german cars, they have something to talk about with me. Come to think of it, I can't recall ever seeing a "Windows XP" or "Vista" sticker anywhere but on the tower of a PC loaded with it. I've seen a few HP stickers, but they were on company cars, so I doubt it was solely product pride.
Here's a good example of why I don't stick logos on stuff anymore. The last four sites I built for people, I told them how I was going to be using CSS for layout design, PHP for their contact forms, Javascripts, and whatever else I was building. All fourof them said, "I don't know anything about any of that stuff. That's why you're building it and I'm not. They didn't really care if I built it on my MacBook or my Toshiba laptop, they didn't really care if I hand wrote the code, or if I  let Dreamweaver do most of the back end work. As long as it looked right when I was done and they got a good place in a Google search, none of it mattered to any of them. As long as the header logo matched the company logo, they didn't care if I used Fireworks, Photoshop, or Corel Draw to put it together.
99% of the people you meet won't give a crap one way or another what you use to make what they want. As long as you make it the way they want, that's all that matters. My mother is a painter. She doesn't affix little stickers to her artwork with the labels from the paint and brushes she used. The people she paints for don't want or need to know what she used. They want their paintings. Can you imagine if McDonald's put little lettuce, tomato and beef stickers on your burger telling you what brand they used to make your lunch?
Steve Jobs has always had a different apporach to things than Bill Gates. That's why you pay less for OS X, (and there's only ONE version of it) than you do for Windows (which has anywhere from five to seven different builds). OS X doesn't require a product key and have a strictly enforced limit of five installs per disc, including reinstalls on the same system. And you can loan your OS X disc to a friend without having to call Apple for permission to install it first. I prefer OS X to Windows. I prefer iWork to Office. I prefer Photoshop to Paint or Corel Draw. But I'm not going to proclaim it to people who don't care. Here is about the only place I'll even mention it, unless someone brings it up in conversation.

  • Why doesn't Logic recognize my loop as an Apple Loop

I have challenges with getting LPX to recognize my wav > aiff file as a bona fide apple loop that I can then stretch tempos.
I have a drum brushes loop that I exported in WIN7/Audition, saved as wav and moved over the my mac. Then I dragged it into LPX, found the correct exact tempo manually (60bpm) in order to make an Apple Loop. Couldn't do it with the wav so saved it as an aiff from within LPX. LPX sees the "tempo information" (not really) and then was able to drag into Apple Loops browser, still, didn't create the tempo meta data or whatever it does to allow me to stretch it. I drag the re-indexed loop on an audio track and it's juts the same 60 bpm loop. Changing my global tempo does not alter the tempo of the loop.
Appreciate any help it getting another 10 bpm outta this thing for a project. Took forever to find a decent ballad drum with brushes!
    thanks

OK that works insofar as it saves the file with no issues and I can drag into the track area (does say there is time data to import- "YES") but it doesn't change with global tempo changes.
Also maybe there is a problem with the index? I deleted the other attempts from User Loops >SingleFiles folder but LPX still is searching for the file at every index.
    So two problems now:
index still looks for older files
ALU is saving but LPX not changing tempo of Apple Loop
I read the manual re: file type.
The File Type tag determines if an application treats a file as a looping or non-looping file. Looping files are matched to the project tempo and key— if the Key tag is set to a value other than None. Non-looping files are not matched to the project tempo or key. (Untagged files added to a project are treated as non-looping.)
When I choose "Looping" in ALU, it changes the sound drastically which although would give tempo stretch, is probably ties to it thinking it's 120 bpm (and not 60)?
Yet it was recorded at 60 bpm.
The catch-22 is that the ALU can't recognize my tempo and if I change it (via choosing "looping", the only way to correct the beats btw) it messes with the sound because it's twice as fast.
Otherwise, as a non-loop, I'm stuck with only 60 bpm (even though it has "time data" to import)

  • Why doesn't Adobe Reader let me save the editable form on my computer?

    Hello,
I am using Adobe reader 10.1.2 I downloaded it free from the internet.
When I download an editable PDF real estate contract from the internet and try to fill it out and save it on my desktop it doesn't let me save it. It says I can only fill it out and print it for my records.. I think it's some kind of security issue maybe?
Does anyone know what the problem is?
    Thank you!

The PDF form that you are trying to fill in, does not have Reader Extended rights enabled, and hence, can't be saved onto your disk with all the data. This can be done via Adobe Acrobat but not Reader.
You can refer to http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Acrobat/9.0/3D/WS58a04a822e3e50102bd615109794195ff-7e0d.w.html for more information.

  • IBooks Author does "real" 3D why doesn't Adobe

We have been evaluating iBooks Author and it does "real" 3D. We have demo'd this using a Collada file and unlike ADPS's faux 3D it can be rotated in all direction and doesn't require the laborious creation of incrementally rotated still images.
Why can't ADPS handle real 3D?

I think 3D features should be split into a few areas:
    - 3D Animations to be used as decorative ways of navigation/interaction
    - 3D Support for serious content like models, simulations, visualisations.
For the former, this could be done by adding HTML/script-like methods.
The script could take a portion of the page, turn it into a sort of Canvas,
and then handle it with CSS-like transformations.
There are already a number of HTML-scripts that perform such an effect.
You can incorporate them by using Web content items or pages in DPS.
I wonder if it would be useful to have such animations (back) in InDesign.
The Flash-driven Animation palet could be revised/revamped to do that.
On the other hand, any feature in that direction (available in InDesign)
will just lead to requests for more features. It would become bloated.
Imagine InDesign doing Photoshop-like stuff; we'd be asking for more...
So a separate application to do (3D) animations migth be a better way.
For the latter (full heavy-weight 3D support), I think it's too soon.
Bot tablet hardware and software is too weak to build such features
into an app that does many other things as well. Of course, 3D games
perform well on tablets, but these are totally dedicated to these tasks,
and don't have to let 3D work alongside other (complex) techniques.
So time will tell when full 3D support of any format (standard?) arrives.

  • Why doesn't Adobe have 3d modeling program?

It seems silly to me why I have to use other programs like Blender to design complex 3d models to import into Adobe Director? Adobe is the most well known and established software companies ever, and they can't make a simple program to design complex 3d models? Am I missing something?

I completely forgot Dimensions was a thing (for a good reason.)
Still, it seems a bit short-sighted for adobe to just punt on the 3D graphics front, especially considering... overwhelming industry trend everywhere?
It would be a good plan for adobe to loot a company that produces 3D software and make it part of the Creative Cloud. That would take a bite out of companies like Autodesk (and by extension, competing software and services like Sketchbook; vendor lock-in). It woulden't be overly difficult to sway the favor of developers with limited resources that are trying to justify the expense of licensing Adobe and Autodesk software. Adobe would win that standoff. Maybe they're just bitter about WebGL?
