Why doesn't App Store remove updated alerts

iOS 8.1x  App Store continues to retain alert notification AFTER an app has been installed/ updated.
This has only occurred since adding iOS upgrade to iPh 4S.
Thanks
dave

Thanks,
but you You misunderstand- the ALERT NOTIFICATION remains on the App Store icon regardless of the updated status.
That is ridiculous. I do not need an alert telling me about something I have already upgraded. Even after 'Open' of apps the alert does not get removed.
An old alert has only departed after new ones replaced it.  Dave

  • Why is the app store downloading a complete OS x Lion to my 10.7.3 late 2011 MBA?

My Macbook Air 10.7.3 seems to be operating well.  Why is the App store completely updating my os? (4.04GB download)

If you have a copy of an older installer left on your system, it's updating the installer to 10.7.3.

  • How can I sign out or remove the old apple ID in app store's updates?

I created a new apple id and signed in the app store. When I update my apps, it requires me to sign in with my old apple id, and I cannot sign out my old id. How can I sign out or remove the old id in app store's updates?

Delete those applications and then download them from the new Apple ID. This may require repurchasing them.

Because you bought them under a different Apple ID.

It sounds like you've installed Mavericks.  You can confirm this by clicking on the Apple located at the top left of the screen and choosing "About This Mac" from the menu.  You should see a window appear with the text "Version 10.9.1" near the middle.
If it says "Version 10.9.1", then you've installed Mavericks.  It still says "Download" in the App Store because you can still download the operating system after installing it.  This is useful if you want to download it for a friend, or create a USB boot drive.

  • Why is the App Store unable to download the Xcode update?

After installing Yosemite, I went to the App Store to update several apps. Most were updated without any difficulty. However, when it got to the Xcode update for v6.1, I get the message, "An error occurred during purchase." with buttons to Cancel or Retry. Multiple tries produce the same result. The information block states the price is "Free" as it always has been. Something needs repair.
    Thank you,

You can probably change the ID in the "iTunes and App stores" settings on the iPad....click on the wrong account ID , select sign out, then log in with your own ID, I have not done this but I think it works.....
but I would be more inclined to to the factory reset and start afresh.

How do I get a refund?

Well, with apps genneraly you do get told ahead of time. I'm not sure of the current algorithm with movies though.
Why not just clear up some space? You can check your usage in your settings btw.

  • ?Why is redesigned App Store Charts so lame and can I get that developers job

Why is redesigned App Store Charts so lame and can I get that developers job?  Cannot read app name, lame presentation, cannot read app developer name, how sorted - have not seen anything new since iOS6 upgrade, app store revenues must be declining for advanced users.

You should be able to download and use the additional loops without a problem, but it works not always smoothly. And there have been different fixes that worked for different people. See this long thread if something will work in your case:
    GarageBand '11 won't download additional loops: https://discussions.apple.com/message/15137750#15137750
Sometimes you simply need to reload the "Updates" tab of the AppStore using ⌘R after signing in with your AppleID and starting the download.

  • Why does the App Store always crash

Why does the app store always crash when I go to use the app genius on my ipod touch, it does it everytime. It even does it ocasionaly when I search for apps. Whats going on Apple. Please look into this or tell me how to turn genius off if thats what is causing the crashes, I can't find how to turn it off in the settings.

The most usual explanation would be that you need to update or you have to many things taking up your memory

  • HT5622 Why is the App Store declining my active Visa card when trying to download a fee app?

Why dose the App Store keep declining my Visa card when trying to download free apps? The card information is accurate and there is money on it? It's driving me crazy!!!

Is your card still in date? Is the info Apple have valid?
i.e. have you made a purchase recently on the app store that was all OK?
I tried to download an app on my phone the other day using credit that was already applied to my account from a voucher. It asked me to update my card details (which I didn't have on me) which was frustrating as I wasn't even paying by those means!
In the end I went home and downloaded it from my computer and it was all OK. If you have itunes on your comp, try downloading through that and see if you have any joy that way.

  • Why does my App Store say all my apps are up to date when they're really not?

I'm in the process of updating my iPod touch 5G to iOS7, and before I do so, I would like to update all my apps to their current versions. However, no updates are showing in the App Store; it says they are all up-to-date when they really aren't. I had about 13 apps to be updated. Is this a glitch as a result of the Apple Store being increasingly optimized for iOS7? I haven't even updated to iOS7 yet; I'm still running 6.1.3. I can manually search for some of my apps in the App Store and update them way, but that's too much of an convenience. I'd like them all to be in the Updates section. Can someone help me out with this?

Mine was doing the same thing, open the store and go to updates and the screen will then refresh and tell you Itunes terms of service have changed.  You'll have to agree to the new 54 pages of terms to get any updates
