Why doesn't firefox/mozilla allow me to open my iTunes store anymore? It used to do so, just fine!

Yeah, I don't think it's a money issue...especially since their current plans include unlimited minute use. It may be more that that's just the way the system is set up and not everyone understands or knows how voicemail works. It could also be that you're one of very few complaining about it, hence the majority wins. It's never bothered me as it's always been there.
It's true that you don't have to use Verizon's voicemail service. I use Google Voice myself. It let's me create multiple greetings, even for specific people. It also allows you to choose an alternate number to reach your phone on case you have a situation where you don't want to give out your personal number. You should give it a shot. I cant open the itunes store anymore on my ipod touch, why??

in the last few months i think ive managed to access the iTunes Store maybe twice on my ipod touch. I dont know if has anything to do with me updating my ipod or not. what's happening every time i go to access the iTunes Store is i tap to open, and it starts to. however its a blank white screen that stays open for about 4 seconds before it quickly closes itself. its opened successfully a very small amount of times in the last few months, the last time being early november, and i would just really love to know why the store wont open because its beyond frustrating having this problem. help would be much obliged.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Go to Setings>iTunes and App Store and sign out and sign back in
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

For security reasons and less hassle, I like Chrome auto-updates Flash Player. Why doesn't Firefox do this?

Google Chrome has it's own version of the Flash plugin that is apart of the Google Chrome installation files. 
So Google needs to do a full update with every Flash release.
Firefox uses the Flash plugin as installed in your Linux distribution, 
If your Ubuntu Linux distribution doesn't have an automatic update for Flash then you need to do that manually.

When saving files from the internet, why doesn't Firefox 'know' to put .jpg files in "Photos" and pdf files in "Documents"? IE always saved photos in the "Photos" file and documents in the "Documents" file. Firefox makes me choose every time. Very annoying.

How about if Firefox is programmed like IE in this ONE thing...
When saving files from internet sources, if the file ends in a typical photo extension such as .jpg, .bmp, .tif etc. it defaults to save it in your PHOTOS folder.
When saving anything like a .doc, .pdf etc. it defaults to save it to your DOCUMENTS.
You could still change it to 'desktop' if that if really where you want all your photos and documents... or some other folder that you decide, but DEFAULTS to the LOGICAL folder.
I have carpal tunnel SO bad that even typing this suggestion is painful and having to make the extra click along with moving the mouse EVERY time I want to save something is painful.
ALSO, I shouldn't need a bunch of ADDONS to accomplish this. I tried downloading one and it did nothing. The problem still exists.

Why doesn't the Calendar allow for making repeating appts. like the 1st Saturday of each month or the last Friday of each month? This is such fundamental functionality. Virtually all other third-party calendar apps include this feature. I was very disappointed this wasn't addressed in iOS 5. Hopefully an Apple Support person sees this...

Why doesn't Disk Utility allow me to select an image or movie to burn? Everything is greyed out, even files.

You cannot burn a movie with Disk utility - you need a burn application which will encode, author, and render the files so you will be able to watch the movie in any DVD player. There is iDVD (still available within the retail iLife 09 or 11 disks available at online resellers or ebay, amazon, etc), or Roxio Toast or Burn (free, but very basic), or google for others.

Yes, the settings are correctly set on the iphone 4s. It is a Yahoo email address. I am not using iCloud. Do you HAVE to have an icloud email account first in order for it to push automatically to other email accounts?

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.

Why are there so many more choices on the USA iTunes Store? Surely having an iTunes account should let you access all itunes availability the world over? Also how do you request films/tv series to the UK itunes?

Also how do you request films/tv series to the UK itunes? There's tv series I'd like but they're incomplete like The Batman & Xena Warrior Princess. And films theta aren't available for download but you can purchase in a store like HMV? Apple isn't doing itself any favours by secluding countries by their store. They'd make billions if you could just select the iTunes Store you want to search & purchase from just by signing in! If anything what they're doing is putting themselves into a corner, other companies like Samsung & HTC are already on too of them for innovation & ease of use. The people they're attracting are predominantly existing Apple users not new customers. What do you guys think?

It's not Apple's choice, they can only sell a particular item where the content provider/rights-holder has granted them a license to sell them. Content is licensed by the rights-holders to Apple on a country-by-country basis, each country therefore has to have its own store, and you have to be in a country to use its store - they want control over where their content is available.
You can try requesting that an item be added to the UK store via this page, but unless the rights-holder agrees to then Apple won't be able to sell it here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html
