Why doesn't IO6 let me sign in to my home WiFi? It doesn't accept the password
IPhone will not accept my password for my home WiFi network since I went to IO6. Help
See what I don't understand is that I can sign in apple Id on here and on my App Store but not on the iPhone. Mine started because for some reason it was taking ages to send an IMessage so I held down the message it was trying to send and pressed sent as text then it changed the iMessages to txt messages so then I didn't no how to change it back. So I switched off I message and then that when it wouldn't work. And also my FaceTime app has disappeared

I want to change my icloud id on my iPhone, but it won't let me now that i have upgraded. I no longer have the password and the problem is It is using an old id which the email isn't valid and the security question does not think my birthday is valid. I cannnot delete the account because "find my iphone" wants the password linked to this old account. But when i go into the find my iphone app it is using my corect Apple ID. How do i fix this?
If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. You can now go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your correct iCloud ID and password.
If you don't have access to your old email address, you will have to contact Apple to have them reset the password so you can disable Find My iPhone and sign into your iCloud account. You can either go to https://expresslane.apple.com, select "More Products and Services", then "Apple ID", then on the next page select "Other Apple ID Topics", then "Lost or forgotten Apple ID password" and click "Continue"; or you can contact Apple Support (http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/). -
My ipad has been a little glitchy for the last couple of weeks....not able to load pages because of DNS lookup failure and really slow loading...some of which has to do with the DSL service I have, but I followed the directions on one of the Apple wi-fi issues pages to reset network all connections..which I did, and now the Ipad cannot connect to WiFi because it will not accept (or cannot resolve..or??) password. I am sure I am typing the password correctly and have tried it on several routers..and it cannot cannect to any router properly even with the correct password. My laptop is connected just fine and it accepts the password and I have confirmed the password with the ISP and tried other routers.
So the question is what should I do if I am entering the right password and the Ipad can't sign itself on to the Wifi network?Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

I changed my AppleID and password on the Apple web site but when I try to sign in on my touch it asks me to enter the password for my old Apple ID, how do i get ICloud to recognize my new ID?

my BT yahoo email account doesn't accept my password when my Mac tries to access it using mac mail but when I access My BT Yahoo via Safari it accepts the password.
When it doesn't accept the password from Mail , it can be things other than the password actually.
It could be their Server, which is contacted differently than through WebMail, it just means the Server listening on this port, (or not listening), is not finding your username & password.

FaceTime won't accept the password which I wrote down some time ago and doesn't provide a "forgot your password" option. And when I try to create a new account it tells me that my email is already registered. What can I do to revise my password?

I changed my password and used the new computer, next time I tried to log in it wouldn't accept the password. I tried the old one as well but that doesn't work either. Can anyone help?
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
When the menubar appears select Terminal from the Utilities menu. Enter resetpassword at the prompt and press RETURN. Follow instructions in the dialog window that will appear.

Be sure to open Keychain Access and repair the keychain:
Assuming that you are using a recent build of OS X, go to /Applications/Utilities and launch the app called Keychain Access. Go to the Window pulldown menu and select "Keychain First Aid". Enter your password, set the radio button to "Repair", and click "Start". -

Why Will Facetime not let me sign in?
I got my iPod Touch 4 in San Francisco Apple Store, December 2010. Apple Store Rep helped me set it all up.
Everything has been working fine, until a week or so ago when, out of the blue, my FaceTime just stopped working.
When I click on the FaceTime button, It stops at a screen with a couple options:
"Initiate session" (where my original email and passwords are already typed in)
and "Create new Session”
It keeps telling me my password is wrong when I never changed it. If I try to create a new session it says my Email account already exists!!
History:
I tried clicking on the initiate session while it keeps telling me my password is wrong.
I even erased the email address and the password and typed it all again, to make sure there us no extra spaces typed in there.
After several attempts, I signed in at Apple.com to change my password. I was not aware of the uppercase letter requirement for FaceTime, since an Apple Rep set my iPod up for me. So I created a new password with all small case letters and a few numbers. I still could not sign in facetime, although I could update other apps, enter my account at Apple.com etc.
So a friend of mine told me to change the password back to what it was (including the upper case letter). I did so. Still I can not not sign in -- "wrong password,” it says! (I guess the email is correct, since FaceTime does not say anything about the email, it even prompts me with the correct email.
I then tried creating a new session, but then, during the process of creating the id, it tells me my password cannot be the same as my Apple ID. I am at a loss.
And when attempting to create a new session, Facetime tells me the Email account already exists. I even signed in this Forum with my original email and reset password used in iPod Apple ID, the same originally used with Facetime, which is the one my friend told me to reset here at Appleid admin.
So I can do everything with my email and password except get into FaceTime. How come?
Do I need now a new E-Mail account and new password exclusively to access FaceTime. This sounds ridiculous!
I just cannot make my FaceTime work!
Can anyone help me? I have tried much of what some people has posted herein the discussion forum, such as the uppercase + number password, the DNS change to match my router, and/or the one from google; also I made sure there is no Firewall in my modem. After all attempts nothing has changed, I never changed my password to start with when FaceTime started saying Wrong Password! FaceTime will not let me in and nothing can make it work. I am abroad now, there is no Genius Apple Store where I am! Also my warranty to telephone assistance with Apple has expired! Please somebody who knows the secret to access FaceTime, I need help!Same thing happened to me. My son's iPod touch suddenly started indicating that my "username or PW had changed" or was "incorrect" so I paid Apple $30 to find out that all that was required was updating the software by plugging his iPod into my computer & syncing with iTunes. My problem was then solved.

I have read the older responses to questions re how to change the iCloud account from an old ID/email address (OLD ID) - to a new ID/email address (CURRENT ID). They all say go to Settings>iCloud - and Delete the iCloud account. In iOS 8 - there is no Delete - but there is a Sign Out. BUT - when I choose the Sign Out it shows a pop-up with the OLD iCloud ID - saying I must first sign IN to iCloud and enter a Password Required to turn off the Find My iPad feature.
I have tried using the password I remember as being correct for the OLD iCloud ID. Doesn't work.
I have tried using the password for the CURRENT ID - even though the pop-up has the OLD ID displayed. Doesn't work.
I'm out of ideas - except Reset??
Should I Reset All Settings?I finally found a work-around in another thread on this Using iPad community. Basically, I had to first make sure that the Messages and Facetime were associated with the CURRENT/NEW ID. (I could do this by simply erasing the OLD ID and typing in the new - in General>Messages and General>Facetime. I then used by PC to change my Apple ID back to the OLD ID/EMAIL - but leave the new password alone.
I then went back to Settings>iCloud - clicked on Sign Out. When it asked me to log on -- with the OLD ID/EMAIL -- to turn off the Find My Phone - I did so using the Password that was originally used with the CURRENT/NEW ID. This worked. So I finally was able to close out of the iCloud account that used the OLD ID/EMAIL.
I then went back on my PC to change my Apple ID back to the CURRENT/NEW ID/EMAIL.
I then went back to the iPad Settings>iCloud - and signed on using the CURRENT/NEW ID/EMAIL.
So everything is OK now.
WHEW!!!

Why am I unable to send email when away from my home wifi ? I am able to receive mail OK, and have double- checked the outgoing server which is correct. This problem is consistent with my Macbook Pro, iPhone, and iPad2.
Attempts to send messages results in them sitting in the Outbox and never- ending 'sending message' displayed.
I am able to send using my me.com server.
Home service provider is Cogeco.

I am in iphone **** or better icloud ****. When I try to go ointo settings on the phone a signin prompt pops up continuously with one apple id. I think i've made it that i have a separate icloud and apple id. I am trying to delete the icloud id. I made all the passwords the same so that there should be no problem but the phone won't still take the password. So when i went in again, looking to see if I could delete the icloud, i screwed up answering my security questions and am now unable to enter that icloud id. How long til I can again? Secondly, since the phone won't accept any password, I have tried to delete it. When I do that, it come up with a request for that same password to shut of the locator service. What the heck? I'm frustrated. I just can't get the hang of apple software and itunes seems to be just as bad for me. Any suggestions appreciated ( aside from stomping on it, I've considered it). Tried to take the battery out but not for me, mere mortal, thought might reset. Got sim card out. Whooopeeee.
It sounds like you have the Find my iphone Activation lock for sure. Go to www.icloud.com/find and see if you put in that Apple ID that is coming up and yoru password to see if you are able to sign into the account that way to turn it off. If you are unable to, you will have to contact AppleCare by phone (chat cannot handle account lock outs or forgotten password due to not being able to verify your identity) and see if they can reset it. And are you sure the Apple ID that is coming up yours?

How do I change the auto ID prompt when the window pops up for my password when I try to install App updates? I've changed my ID but the old ID is embedded in the password prompt and I can't work out where to change it. So I'm unable to install any of my App updates.
Did you go to Settings>Store>Apple ID? Tap the old ID and sign out. Sign in with your new ID. If you changed the name associated with the ID this should work If you created an entirely new ID, you have to use the old ID and password to update the apps since they will always be tied to that ID and password,
