Why doesn't ipod have same #of songs as itunes?
Ok I sync my ipod correctly but it seems to loose a song here and there for some reason. My itunes has 3334 songs but after correctly syncing ipod it comes up 18 songs short at 3318. How do I check to see which songs are not on the ipod but on itunes?
Are some of your songs in different file formats?
it should come up with a message stating which songs cudn't be transferred and why

Why does my ipod have on its screen the itunes symbol and the cord with an arrow pointing to the itunes symbol. I can't do anything with my ipod now!
Plug it into iTunes. If that does not work hold the power and home button untill the screen turns off then let go of the power button but KEEP holding the home button... this should bypass the connect to iTunes screen. Hope it helps.

Do a forum search. This has been discussed over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.
There is no need to add yet another thread on this very, very, very tired subject. -
Why Doesn't iPod Have Crossfade?
I love that feature on iTunes--it does it nicely. I would think that if iTunes did crossfades, so would iPods.
No one eher would know why Apple have not added it to the Classic, and Apple don't explain themsleves.
You can suggest that feature here... http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipod.html but you will not receive any feedback from Apple regarding your suggestion. And of course, they may not implement it either. -

Seems like you have the incorrect sync settings

Why is my iPod Touch now repeating songs once in the Bose Dock?
Why is my iPod Touch now repeating songs once in the Bose Dock? How do I get this to stop? I have already done a factory restore and then reloaded my music onto this iPod.
I had this problem after upgrading to iOS4, but didn't discover it until I got to the gym and went to start my workout! No music (except the stuff they play at the gym) meant a short workout for me!
I figure that the glitch comes from the fact that when you upgrade to iOS4 iTunes takes a backup of your iPod, does the firmware update and then puts the backed up content back on, I'm thinking that there are some subtle differences between iOS3 and iOS4 that cause confusion.
THE FIX! I have found that the best fix (in fact the best course of action) is to restore the iPod from iTunes (just hook it up and hit the "Restore" button and tell iTunes to treat it as a new iPod. Then just re-sync all your content and it should work perfectly. It is a much easier way of getting your iPod updated without as many glitches.

For one thing, true call blocking (ie. where the call NEVER actually connects through to your number) can only be done by the service provider at their switches.
The best a device can do is allow the call to connect, and then use the caller ID information to compare that to a list of allowed and a list of disallowed caller IDs. That is a feature known as blacklisting, but it is not the same as actually blocking a call completely.
So as suggested, contact your carrier and ask what they can do for you. -
Why doesn't my computer download the songs from my iphone with clouds next to them?
Why doesn't my computer download the songs from my iphone with clouds next to them?
You can copy iTunes purchased songs over to your computer's iTunes library via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, or have you tried going to the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes and seeing if you can redownload them on your computer ?

I have purchased 2 songs from itunes. They show up in itunes library on my computer, but when I sync ipod with computer, the songs do not transfer to ipod
Is your iPod configured to sync these tracks? How do you have your iPod set up to sync music from your iTunes library?

Why doesn't PS have auto-recover?
This is probably the one thing about PS that bugs the crap out of me. If Photoshop crashes while you are working something, it is lost forever. I was working on a digital painting a couple of days ago, and I went to save it, and PS crashed.
Every other program (Word, Powerpoint, Excel etc.) has an auto-save/auto-recover feature. Why doesn't PS have one? It seems silly for it not to.This has been discussed in several other threads, so do a search. As far as I'm concerned any such request doesn't make sense given how PS currently works and how the file format is structured. There's simply no realistic and safe way to save potentially large files in a few (micro-)seconds before a crash nor would that work as an auto-backup. Too many external factors and constant disk activity would have other negative side-effects... If you get my meaning: It's one thing to save a few kilobytes from a Word document in a few blips, but a totally different one shuffling around gigabytes.

Why doesn't apple have a file of events that ties to the iCal program and the Address book file? By having that relationship it seems that you could call up all of the events tied to a customer while in the address book or likewise call up all of the events tied to a contact that was in the iCal program as a scheduled meeting. Even in the to do's you could easily look back at the events tied to an individual so as to bring yourself up to speed with what you were doing with the individual in mind.
I definitely understand your concern and I apologize for all the frustration. Verizon Wireless has a strong customer commitment to delivering the best from our service and staff. I am disappointed to hear the service you received did not reflect this commitment.
I definitely want to help get to the bottom of this and further assist you. Please reply to my direct message so I can access your account and further assist. I am sure we can get this resolved.

Why doesn't Apple have a insurance program to cover stolen devices
Why doesn't Apple have a insurance program to cover stolen devices?
As a apple customer I feel that is very important that we are offered some type of insurance plan to cover our devices if it is stolen besides the AppleCare which is offered that only cover software issues. We as consumers spending hundreds to thousands of dollars on our devices and if it is stolen we are not compensated for it at all which I think is totally unfair. We the consumer put our lives and in some cases our life savings into our devices and this should be taking into consideration By implementing a insurance plan which allows consumers to choose the type of coverage plans allows the customer to feel more secure with there purchase.Donald Morgan wrote:
(99%) of Insurance Companies cover stolen Computers in there Homeowners Policys. I suggest you check with your Insurance Provider. Problem Solved.
Well... Usually the deductible is high enough to make it barely worth the claim. Once you claim you may also find your insurance rates go up for several years. The rule of thumb is don't claim unless you're talking at least $1000. In that regard it could be useful if somebody offered separate insurance, though I suspect one might wonder why one was paying $50 or whatever per year for insurance on a single item versus just paying a bit more for a lower deductible on the homeowner's that would cover a host of items.
Qbangz: I have almost always had renter's insurance or the equivalent, even when I stayed in a dorm at college. If somebody decides not to have it then that's a personal choice, but it is available.
