Why doesn't Mavericks recognise my Roland PC 300 driver

The PC 300 Midi keyboard driver that I have downloaded from Roland is not recognised by Mavericks. Therefore I cannot get this keybaord to work when I'm using Logic Pro X (or at all for that matter). Can someone suggest how I can resolve this problem?
Thanks!

  • Creative: why doesn't Vista recognise my Z

    Greetings all,
I've had a plain old Zen 20gb (model number DAP-HDD05) for over two years now. It has been a great little player, and unlike all my friends with Ipods I have never had any dri've failures or lost any data off it. Unfortunately the experience has soured since upgrading to Vista 64. Now, I can't get windows to recognise my player hence I have no way of adding music to my Zen!
When I plug the player in in audio mode (as in not removable disk mode) Windows recognises that an object called Creative Zen has been plugged in. It asks to find the drivers. I say yes and it does the search thing. I've pointed it at both the original Creative CD that came with the Zen as well as its automated online search. Both turn up nothing and the driver install fails. I remove the unknown device from Device Manager manually and retry: same result. I try and install the Creative drivers and software from the CD: it refuses to get past the autoplay menu (buttons are grayed out). I manually try and install the Zen Explorer and it crashes. I search on the Creative site for Vista 64 drivers and it tells me that it should be nati'vely supported by Windows. It does not appear to be in my case. I open WMP on the hope it recognises something but it doesn't. I email Creative tech support with the problem and get the following cryptic response:
'I am sorry to inform you that there is no development planned for
Windows Vista supports via the below URL link:
Windows Vista - Driver Availability Chart
    http://us.creative.com/support/kb/article.asp l=3&sid=486
We do seek for your kind understanding and apologize for any
inconvenience caused, any inconvenience caused is regretted.
However, you may like to verify its functionality on the stated
requirement and I believe it should be able to work on its stated
    requirement.'
I think that means 'no, suck eggs, there won't be any support, I bet you wish you bought an ipod now (sucker).'
So Creative, how do I add music to my Zen
    Thanks

I'm having exactly the same problem with my Zen Micro, I've tried all the solutions and nothing works, although the solutions for "updating firmware" aren't exactly clear. I don't know much about computers, and its pretty upsetting that i went through the whole of the solution and ended up with nothing. Frankly, I'm disgusted with the support provided!

  • HT1338 Why doesn't "Software Update" show me the new driver for the Epson 50C20D (Artisan 800) while It is on the list of available new driver?

Since I upgraded to mountain lion, my Artisan printer stopped working. After talking to Epson and trying all kind of things, it was determined its definitely a driver problem. The PC ping the printer well but won;t print to it as it think its not connected (when it is as priven by the ping).
The new driver for Epson 50C20D are on the list of update available drivers on the OS X wen site yet trigering "Software Update" does does detect I need it... Why is that? Thanks

Thanks Mende1. The printer is there and installed allright. Even shows as "idle" until I try to print to it. The driver version shows 6.36 and I ned to update to 9 which is only avail from the App store... However, the app store don't detect I need it..

  • Why doesn't my iMac recognize my external hard drive?

I updated my imac from leopard to snow leopard to lion. I plugged in MY Book external hard drive, which had been working, but now it is not recognized. I went to the disk utility but all the First Aid buttons are greyed out and I can't do anything. I can't back it up anyplace because its not recognized. What do I do??
How do I upgrade the Firmware, which is one suggestion I read in the forum?  The My Book was separated into to sections, but I also upgraded my Mac Book Pro to Lion, so it doesn't work there either. Double trouble!!

    Go to finder .
    Apps
You see 1 app or nothing like bootcam or idisc
put your mouse behind apps and you see hide klick whith your mouse on this and enjoy.now you see idisc and

  • Why doesn't Apple Retail Store sell MacBook pros with SSD?

I have read that it is because they only sell MacBook Pros with the most reliable technology and because SSD still needs to be proven.
So many rumors Out there make the purchase decision really tough.
And, why doesn't apple offer a 7,200 rpm drive for the 13" mbp? According to the forum, the 13" can take it???

I have read that it is because they only sell MacBook Pros with the most reliable technology and because SSD still needs to be proven.
So many rumors Out there make the purchase decision really tough.
If you are interested in SSD reliability, that is not a very simple question to answer, given that there are many factors involved in the idea of "reliability" and if you start to do some research in the area, the idea of "reliability" will likely extend to questions about performance and cost. These questions can then get rather technical, and would likely extend to "performance under specific conditions of use" and "cost versus perceived and actual benefit".
Apple currently lacks TRIM support for SSDs, but various SSDs vendors have addressed this issue in one way or another. This is typically through a proprietary implementation of the SSD controller, and, in general, how it handles garbage collection to offset the lack of TRIM support.
Although rumors may lend to the difficulty in making a decision about whether to wait for a certain technology or not, "off the cuff" user experiences also flood the posts. ABC is super fast, XYZ is faster. It is great to hear about user experience, but sometimes it is useful to go beyond these. Benchmark tests can actually size some of this up into quantitative values, but then often times benchmarks, by their inherent nature, are addressing a very specific set of circumstances. So, what their results might show don't necessarily always carry over to a use case with different parameters.
The market for SSDs is relatively new and currently there is no market standard for many of the sub-technologies that go into making one. In this sense it is a little like the "Beta and VHS" battle of old, but less delineated since even within the distinction between TRIM vs No-TRIM support, their is no shortage of proprietary endeavor to produce an SSD that does not require TRIM. And then while all of that is going on, the SSD market - aside from the TRIM / No-TRIM issue is still evolving at quite a rapid pace.
And just to wrap the whole thing up into the larger context, HDDs have obviously been around for some time now, but there is still no shortage of debate on which is the "best". Although, I will say that given their relative market maturity, HHD debates do tend to have less of the current "hoopla" and fanfare and that many SSD vendors may actually be counting on to catch your attention.

Down load fron the Internet OmniDiskSweeper (free) and open it.  It will show you all of your files and the respective sizes.
In addition, click on your HDD icon in the upper right hand corner of your desk top with COMMAND I (I as in the letter i).  What does it say about the space used and available.

  • Why doesn't Aperture 3 recognise RAW files from my Fuji F550EXR?

I have just bought a Fujifilm F550EXR, partly because of it's RAW capabilities. I am an existing Aperture 3 user (Canon 5D Mk II) and have found it very good at working with the RAW files from that SLR. After shooting some test shots with the F550EXR, I now find that Aperture 3 doesn't recognise them. Surely Fuji's RAW file format has been around long enough for Apple to incorporate it into it's RAW converter. Why doesn't Apple support Fuji RAW files?

    Hi all,
    the problem still exists..
Aperture still does not support this RAF (I recently bought a Fujifilm F550EXR)
    Others do..
I've just tested Adobe Lightroom, works great
with both, Fuji-RAF and NEF format (of my Nikon D80)
even free picture software does support this Fuji-RAW format
    - e.g. "rawker", http://raifra.fh-friedberg.de/Mac/index-en.html
so its hard for me to understand, that the missing cooperation between Fujifilm and Apple is the problem.
I think, Apple regards it as too much effort to implement this format for (in relation) so few cameras..
Aperture 2 had no backup function for some month, and Apple did not care ..
    (too much effort, too?)

  • Why doesn't notes in Mavericks show the notes i had on iCloud in mail in Mountain Lion?, why doesn't notes in Mavericks show the notes i had on iCloud in mail in Mountain Lion?

Why doesn't notes in Mavericks show the notes i had on iCloud in mail in Mountain Lion?, why doesn't notes in Mavericks show the notes i had on iCloud in mail in Mountain Lion?

Ask a fifth time, and maybe the answer will appear.
Are the notes actually in iCloud?  If you go to iCloud.com and log in, do you see them there?  If so, it's an issue on your computer side.  If not, then the notes don't exist on the server.

  • Why doesn't the App store recognise that I already have Facetime installed and want me to repurchase it?

Why doesn't the App store recognise that I already have Facetime installed and want me to repurchase it?  I also canot upgrade from V3 to V 1.02?

For some reason the Apple servers are having an issue retaining the bank card's CVV code (three digit security code) in the payment method area. Every time I run into an issue, whether in the iTunes Store or the Mac App Store, when I check my account info the CVV code has been missing every time!
Try resolving the problem from iTunes, you have more access to your account details in iTunes. Sometimes it seems that when there is a problem with incorrect or incomplete information regarding your method of payment the Mac App Store's warnings get confusing.
Open iTunes, enter the iTunes Store, then log in and review your account information. Make sure that the billing address is correct and that if needed, the CVV code, the three digit security code from your bank card, is correct. On your way out reset the notifications.

  • Why doesn't my bootcamp drive mount in 10.9.1 mavericks?

Why doesn't my bootcamp drive mount in 10.9.1 mavericks?

the drive case needs drivers and or firmware. Happens all the time esp. with many makes and vendors due to the bridge it uses, that does the SATA drive <=> to FW/USB/etc to your Mac and whether you use FW800/400 or USB2 or even eSATA (w/ a PCIe SATA controller).
If you are using native SATA and an PCIe SATA controller.... tell us! and the vendor needs to provide drivers that are not included with Lion. Lion just 'broke' support it has had with Snow Leopard.
As for RAID - a RAID created with SL will not always support Lion for booting or mount. Happened with 10.3.9 too. And SL would not install on a RAID created with Leopard. See the pattern emerging?

Some apps require updating when a new operating system comes out. Check with the developers of the apps you're having problems with and see if they have an update or workaround.

Launch/Utilities/Terminal and enter this command at the prompt:
    diskutil list
    Press return.
If it sees the disk, note the number of the disk (far left column) you want to mount.
    Then, enter this command:
    mount /dev/(number of disk)
Put in the number no parenthesis.
    Press Return.
If that doesn't wortk try the same with this command...
    mount force /dev/(number of disk)

  • Hey. I have recently made an update on my daughters iMac, particularly update OS X 10.9.4, when finished, its still asking for update and the same update stills remarked in the apple update menu and at the App store app. Why doesn't stop asking f.ud?

Hey. I have recently made an update on my daughters iMac, particularly the update OS X 10.9.4, when finished, its still asking for update and the same update stills remarked as ready in the apple update menu and remarked as 1 to go at the App store app. Why doesn't stop asking for update when its done like 5 times or more? Thanks for taking your time!

If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main Recovery screen.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode. All other data will be preserved.
*The linked support article refers to OS X 10.9 ("Mavericks"), but the procedure is the same for OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later.
