Why doesn't my "add this," tool bar show email?
Why can't I use the (email to friends) on the add this? I love this feature and used it very much. I prefer not to use the social media for personal messages and suggested sites, or articles. Why can't I use this?
It says isn't working try again, for a week now. Please help me out.

I found that after Firefox v29, a LOT of my settings and<BR>
add-ons were changed / reset. Try this;

You installed the Conduit spyware. To remove it, triple-click the following line of text to select it:
~/Library/Application Support/Conduit
Copy (command-C) the text to the Clipboard. Then select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the Finder menu bar and paste (command-V) into the box that opens. A Finder window may open with a folder named "Conduit" selected. If so, delete the selected folder.
Select Go to Folder again and enter:
/Library
From the folder that opens, delete the following items, if they exist. You may be prompted for your login password.
Application Support/Conduit
InputManagers/CTLoader
LaunchAgents/com.conduit.loader.agent.plist
ScriptingAdditions/ct_scripting.osax
Close the folder. Now select Go to Folder one more time and enter:
/Applications/Toolbars
Delete that item. Close the Finder windows you opened. Log out and log back in. -
How do you set the "add-on" tool bar to disapear when it's inactive?
I discovered the bottom of the page "add-on" tool bar.
I downloaded the progress bar and it's working just great. Exactly as it should be.
Now, how do you make the bottom "add-on" tool bar disappear when it's "inactive" and become "visible" only when it's "active"?Hrm... that may be true and this may be a function of the phone email client that Apple just doesn't do.
No, I can easily MANUALLY delete the messages. I would prefer if I didn't have to do it twice, tho. Once on the mail server and once on the phone.
What I think the phone needs to do is, when it checks the POP, anything NOT there should be removed locally. I think you are correct on POP; the phone will poll the mx (mail exchanger) and the mx will pass off the messages to the phone. The phone then keeps ALL of that unitl you manually delete it.
If, say, I remove a message from the mx, I would like the phone, when next polls, to see that that particular message isn't on the server anymore and remove it locally.
Perhaps it's just me but if I delete the message on the mx itself, via my ISP's webmail interface, I really don't want to have to remove it again from my phone.

Message was edited by: TAGrafxApparently, at least in my system, putting a space anywhere in the syntax will not work to open Firefox in safe mode. I just tried again. A space between firefox and the dash will simply open Firefox in standard mode; without the space, Firefox correctly opens in safe mode. Perhaps if it doesn't make any difference on most systems, the Firefox articles should omit the space completely or suggest trying both alternatives. Frankly, I don't see how my system is any different than any other generic Vista system, as it's basically a standard factory setup. But I suppose it's possible. Thanks for your feedback.

Why doesn't version 17.0.0.169 show up in IE11 8.1 64-bit Manage Add-Ons?
KB3044132 shows as installed for Flash Player update, and the Control Panel Flash Player icon for 32-bit shows 17.0.0.169 installed (I have 64-bit and 32-bit), but the Manage Add-Ons for Shockwave is Enabled and showing version 17.0.0.134! When I check the version using Adobe it only shows 17.0.0 and not the important part, so I cannot tell if Adobe detects 17.0.0.169 or 17.0.0.134! I think I need to know if IE11 64-bit has 17.0.0.169 also. Please advise because Microsoft technical support says to contact Adobe about this. Please delete my entry in Adobe general forums, Bridge general discussion as michaelh94875078. I did not see Flash Player on the list of communities provided during my first post.
It occurs to me that maybe Microsoft will not allow their 17.0.0.169 KBitem to go out until their next update on the second Tuesday of May for their convenience and reputation! I want any update for Flash Player to be installed immediately for security. That is why I tend to use Firefox with NoScript and Web of Trust when I use a Google search. I will be watching the next Microsoft update to note if the KBitem it said was not appropriate for my computer - goes in!

I'm sorry, I misread your previous post and thought it had been installed. From my experience with Microsoft Updates is that some times they depend on some update being installed. I'll run Windows Updates and install all updates, then run Windows Updates again after all updates finish installing. Sometimes it finds new updates that weren't there before, and sometimes it doesn't. You can try that route, or download the Microsoft update posted at the bottom of the Flash Player Issues | Windows 8 page. Download the one that corresponds with your OS version. You may want to bookmark this tech note for future reference in case Microsoft Updates fails to detect the update is available for your system.

Add ons tool bar and tabs disappeared when opened closed browser.
I have deleted and re-installed 17.01 three times now. The first time was to get into my bank site. The second because I still was having problems with downloading. My browser has been working well for about a couple of weeks. I was using the browser, closed it with tabs open (oh, and I haven't had a tab open alert, since upgrading to 17). Normally, when I reopen the browser, all the tabs are there and open. This time, the tabs were open but my add on tool bar on top was closed, even though it was checked to be open. I closed the browser, and reopened it, and not only was the add on tool bar gone, but now all the tabs were gone too. I uninstalled and re-installed 17.01, and nothing changed. I have come to hate 17 with a passion.
And, no, I haven't installed anything new, and I don't have tab mix (what ever that is) add on.Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

Some add-on tool bars sporatically do not appear

The way I read your question is that it sounds like you have a mix of extensions where one or more of those extensions don't "play well with others". IOW, one or more of your extensions have a conflict with your other extensions. You didn't provide the ''correct'' Troubleshooting Information as requested when you started this thread, so I can't see everything you have installed and see if I can recognize any extensions that are known as problematic.

You're going to have to do some troubleshooting to find the cause. Starting with the extensions that add a Toolbar to Firefox, disable extensions one at a time and use Firefox until that problem re-appears; you may have to disable non-toolbar type extensions, too. It is quite possible that more than one extension could be contributing to your problem; that's a little harder to troubleshoot. -
Random muting of Mac sound. Why doesn't Mac adress this?
I am having a recurring problem with the sound randomly muting. In the System Preferences panel, the volume slider is grayed out and the 'mute' option is checked but also greyed out. This has been happening on and off for a while. Sometimes restarting works but not always. In googling this problem it is obvious that this has been happening to many people since at least 2008. What is going on here and why doesn't Mac fix this problem? It is a huge waste of time when working on a project to have to screw around with this.
Has anyone found a real fix other than just trying to reboot?

After I update my website, why doesn't Safari reflect this-even after emptying cache? (Chrome does). Any help would be great. I am a web developer and need to reload the page constantly to see changes, I can't have it be that safari takes a day to refelct changes-it used to happen instantly, what has changed?
It probably says more about MySpace than Safari but anyway you could try the latest nightly build of Safari's Webkit web browser engine. I always use this now and find it offers greater all round performance.

In case you don't know, you just run the webkit application instead of Safari but in use it will seem no different than Safari because all you're doing is running an updated version of the rendering engine in Safari. Safari 3.1 remains untouched and you can switch back to that if you wish. -
Keep getting a pop up saying the Safari browser version we are currently using doesn't support the community tool bar whenever we try to get on a site supported by Safari.

Why doesn't iTunes add protected MPEG-4 audio files to its music library? I copied these files to my iMac from an old PC laptop that no longer has internet access.
After downloading via iTunes, I move MP3 files from the default iTunes podcast folder to another folder (on an a external disk), I also change the name of the file and I change some MP3-tags.
You download from the iTunes store, delete the podcast, mess with it, move it around, rename it, change the tags then try to add it back to iTunes?

Cannot read chinese characters
