Why doesn't my apps show up in iTunes?

Why doesn't my apps show up in iTunes? I'm on iTunes 11.1.2.31 using an iPad mini on the latest IOS 7.0.3. Could it be that I'm on a new computer and have some settings messed up? See enclosed screenshot. It can obviously detect the number of apps (44), but why aren't they listed in the apps section?

I just installed Snow Leopard on my Macbook from early 2008, and I was told this should allow me to sync my devices. However, my iPad isn't showing up on iTunes. I tried both USB ports, which work well for everything else, and it hasn't helped. I also get the "Trust this computer" question on my ipad, but my mac doesn't recognize that there's anything hooked up.

Have you already run the software updates? What version of iTunes is running on the computer?

Why doesn't Preview.app show me animated .gifs?

I made an animated .gif with Macromedia Fireworks and it opens up perfect on a Windows Platform. But on my MacBook only the first frame opens and stays still as a single image.
Once I open the .gif, in the Preview's Drawer, it shows me all of the single images that are supposed to be seen continously as an animation. But I repeat, no animation is played back.
Help please, thank you.

This is from the preview help document. What you are seeing is what is described for preview.
Viewing animated GIFs
An animated GIF is a graphic file that shows a short animation. Preview lets you look at each frame in the animation as an individual still image.
Open the animated GIF file in Preview.
If the window's drawer isn't already visible, choose View > Drawer.
The drawer contains a thumbnail image for the animated GIF. The number of frames in the animation appears in the lower-right corner.
Click the triangle beside the thumbnail image.
Preview shows all the frames in the animated GIF. When you click a frame, the animation stops and Preview displays that frame.

I've had to change SIM cards with my provider to have working 3G/4G. It works but the odd thing is when I plug my iPhone and I'm on iTunes. I don't see my number showing up. I see n/a each time. I know I have a number but it's not showing up I can make calls and text but it doesn't show my number. In my contacts section I don't see my number either. Why is this?

You have a hardware issue. Try a different USB port. If that doesn't work, try a different docking/charging cable. If that fails, check the USB properties in Device manager. The ports MUST be USB 2.0.
Also, try using a different computer....

Oops, I went back a second time in the Music Store
search and I saw it when I searched 'zipzeta' like
you mentioned. However when I clicked on the image
and was taken to the profile page I still had the
default Apple Itunes Podcast image with the dark
figure and purple ringed background.
I can confirm this, and I can't see why this should be. My own podcast has the same image tag as yours, and appears correctly: I can't see anything wrong with your page. Perhaps it's some sort of hiccup in the iTunes Store - it might sort itself out eventually - how long has this been the case?

When I sync my iphone and ipad to my macbook pro, I no longer get an itunes screen allowing me to set preferences. I just get the new itunes screen, which shows my devices syncing, but doesn't allow me to change anything on my devices. There's a bit of urgency because the calendars have disappeared from my ipad and I would like them back.

If you are using iTunes 11 and want the sidebar - go to the View Menu and select 'Show Sidebar' or keystroke - option-CMD-S.
This will now show your Devices as before.

I recently switched to icloud. When I connected my phone to my computer and went to itunes, my phone no longer appeared in the list. This is where I am used to manually adding photos nd mucic from my libraries and other manual functions I perform. I ltried to log into icloud and was told that my normal apple id passpwrd does not work. I then went to settings on the phone and only found one thing, a choice to baxk my phone up to icloud. I want to manually back up and add/replace music and photos as well as addredd book and especially calanders. Please help. I am a one on one memmber but I started a progression of lessons with the new OS. I cloud comes next so I feel like I am behind in my abilities. Please help

Could it be that you are running Windows XP? I believe there is some automatic detection of the operating system you are running, and if it is not supported by the application, it does not show up on the download page.

Do you mean on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes ? If yes then make sure that Apps is ticked on the General tab in Edit > Preferences

So there are no apps at all on your home screens? Try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. If you don't see anything after that, take a look at all of your home screens and folders to see if something is hidden. It that doesn't work, you can go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

I'm not really familiar with Pandora but I assume it's an audio app and the app places text on screen to inform you of the current track playing.
As an audio app, it seems to make sense it will stream audio over AirPlay, which doesn't include text of course. For that matter the text is also unlikely to be a video stream either, just to cover the possibility you ask why can't they stream it over AirPlay as video.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).
Tip 2 - If you're updating via wifi, place your iPad close to your router to preclude getting a corrupted download.
