What exactly are you trying to do? The iPhone will only pair with any computer, by Bluetooth, for the purpose of Tethering. File transfer, by Bluetooth, has never been supported on any iPhone. So, if you're not trying to Tether, you can quit trying to pair your phone with your Mac, as it won't pair.

I've noticed recently that my camera on my phone doesn't open when i have little to no reception. All i get is the closed shutter pic. The gyros are working because the little camera and video icons on the bottom turn when i turn my phone. Does anyone else have this issue?

I hate to break it to you but I very highly doubt that it has anything to do with your signal and probably is a problem with the camera application itself it might just be a coincidence that it looks like it has something to do with your signal....

Aren't all my Apple devices supposed to be able to do this? I don't want to have to plug in the cable every ngiht to sync my iPhone, MacBook Air and Mac desktop. I assumed it had, and missed an appointment.

You may well have updated the OS actually running on your MacBook Air, but that would not update your profile on the Apple Support Communities (ASC). To determine the OS level actually running, choose About This Mac from the apple-icon menu. To update your ASC profile (if necessary), choose "Your Stuff" near the upper right corner of this page, then choose "Profile" to pull up the profile page. Look under "My Products" for your MacBook Air, then use "Edit" to the right of that entry.
We're in the Mavericks forum, so I'll assume you are running Mavericks (OS X 10.9.x). It's a free upgrade from Snow Leopard or above, if your MacBook Air is new enough and has enough hardware to run it. I'm also assuming that you want to use Apple's iCloud sync function.
Apple supplies the wherewithall for automatic syncing on current systems or on older systems running current software, but you have to have configured it appropriately.
Here's how you do that check that ssls6 recommended:
On the MacBook Air, open System Preferences and go to the "Internet Accounts" pane. On the left side should be a list of one or more accounts. You may see, for example, an iCloud account (icon of a cloud), a Google account (icon of a "g"), and/or other types of accounts listed (various icons). Next to each icon, you should see two lines of script, one with the name of the account (perhaps "My iCloud" or "JKF from NYC") and one with the type(s) of information stored there (for example, "Mail, Contacts, and 9 more...").
Do you have an iCloud account there? I'm assuming you do. If not, post back that you don't have one. Somebody here will have to coach you through creating one and getting your calendars moved there, or we can discuss using your Google account or whatever you do have.
Click on the entry in the list corresponding to your iCloud account. (This is the one you were probably thinking about when you asked "Aren't all my Apple devices supposed to be able to do this?"). The right side of the window should now show a list of types of information you are storing in iCloud. We are hoping that the "Calendars" line is checked, meaning that you have enabled calendar storage in iCloud (possibly among others).
While you have the iCloud account selected, note the exact name of the iCloud account active (perhaps JFKfromNYC @ icloud.com).
Now go to the Calendar application on your MacBook Air. If you do not see a left sidebar with a list of calendars (maybe Personal, Home, Work, and others), clicking the "Calendars button should make it appear.
Click on some event of interest in the main part of the Calendar window. (You might want to pick that appointment you missed, if the MacBook Air is where you created it.) The name of the calendar that contains it should be highlighted in the left sidebar, nested under the account that stores the calendar. (For example, "Home" nested under "My iCloud" may be highlighted. Note that there may also be a "Home" calendar under other accounts; they are different.) That tells you where this event is stored.
Now you need to go to the Mac desktop and go through the same exercise. You want the desktop to agree with the MacBook Air for those calendars and entries you care to have synced. Make sure the desktop is using the exact same iCloud account identifier.
Now you want to follow a similar process on your iPhone, but some of the terminology is different. Here I'm assuming you are running a recent version of iOS (7 through 7.1.1).
Start in the Settings app. Go to the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" pane. Again, you want to see your iCloud account listed; click it. It should be enabled for storing calendars, and it should also be using the exact same iCloud account identifier.
Now switch to the Calendar app and select an event. (Again, you might want to use the appointment you missed, if it was created on the iPhone or appears there.) It should show the name of the calendar under which the event was created. To see where that calendar is stored, click on the name of the calendar to get a list of storage locations (grey bars) and calendars, one of which should be checked. Again, you want to see the event in a calendar that is stored in iCloud. [Remember, I'm assuming you want to sync through iCloud.] Click "Back" to return to the event.
If you see the same event in the same calendar stored on the same cloud service on all three devices, then the event should be syncing among them. Otherwise, let us know where in this procedure what you observed failed to match what I outlined.

I've spent an hour with Apple Support people trying to get my new Epson XP 600 to scan, to no avail. I've downloaded the Epson software from the US site that is supposed to work with OS 10.9. It doesn't. My inquiries to Epson in Sydney provided the information that it would be at least two nonths before any Epson scanner will work with 10.9. What is real and what is fantasy here? And, how do they get away with it??????

The only way I have been able to scan is using a USB cable with Image Capture. I am disappointed that there is no wifi capability with the scanner!

Very likely because it does not comunicate with iOS devices. The "dumb" iPods do not use iOS but a very simple OS instead. The first iPod Touch came out in Sept 2007.

You have to run Firefox in 32-bit mode in order for it to run Adobe Flash Player 11 on Firefox 7.0.1 on Snow Leopard.
Mac: Get Info (Command+I) on Firefox icon and click box run in 32-bit mode. I think its shoddy Mozzilla support and really lame that they didn't post this.

Why won't my 7th generation nano work with my Mac Book 10.5.8 Itunes

I just got a used 7th gen Nano. When I plug it into my Mac Book with Mac OSX version 10.5.8 I get a pop up saying that my itunes needs to be updated. When I go to update it says I have the most recent update. What do I do can I even use this ipod?

I have the iphone 4s, a couple days after updating to ios6.1.3 my volume bar disappeared. sometimes it will come back for a few seconds but my phone does not notify me when i get calls and message. The alarm works and apps do not. It is not water damaged at all. it has been like this for about 6 weeks now. i have tired the toothbrush methood to try to get the dust out of the dock but it does not work. please help me.

Why doesn't my ipod 4th gen work with ihome

SO probably already answered but when I plug in my ipod to my ihome iA91 it will charge but I can't wake up to my music or use the remote to control the dock. I will set the alarm to wake up to my music but all I get is beeping. it's frustrating. I do get a message that says "This device is not supported by ipod" or something like that. Its made for an Ipod why would it say that? Please help, thanks

For the same reason my car hasn't got in-dash satnav, leather upholstery or a six litre engine. Because that's how the manufacturer chose to make it. If you are unhappy with the specs, don't buy one.

OK sort of an old thread now but this apparently is a common issue. Restore wont help. I have researched it for the past week (did several months ago too and gave up) but I now have somewhat of a solution to this phenomena. For whatever reason mine seems to stay at 100% most of the night than around 7:00am it would drop to 97% or so within a few minutes. This sorta stopped when iOS 5.1.1 came out. Now it stays at 100% until I unplug it then it drops. What I was doing was each morning when wake up, I unplug then plug back in while I was getting ready for the day and it would go back to 100%. So for the fix. What I have discovered over the past week worked 100% of the time. When go to bed I turn off the phone with the slider. Then plug in charger and let the phone come alive again by itself. But I do not log it in. Just let it sit at the lock screen. Now every morning its at 100% and stays that way for more than an hour (If not used). So it is being fully charged and remaining that way. iPhone will quick charge to 100% by meter but in reality it still needs longer to fully charge. Anyway this process has solved the waking up to less than 100% while still being connected to the charger.

Sounds like you inadvertently have the Add Anchor Point tool active. Click and hold to get the full selection and choose the "regular" Pen tool at the top. (Or, just tap the P key.)

I assume you are running ios 8.x. It's a bug.
Wait for a fix from apple. ... OR ... You could buy a new Apple brand connector. The latest connectors will work, even the older apple brand connectors do not work. OR try re-booting your ipad. OR wait until the video starts then attach the connector.

Why doesn't Skype Click-to-call work on Windows 8.1?

Why doesn't Skype click-to-call work anymore? I upgraded to Windows 8.1, and now when I click on a highlighted phone number it asks "Which app should I use" or some such microsoft text. But no application is listed. Apparently it does not work from within Firefox (I have the latest version). And I can no longer find a Skype Click to Call application or extension in Firefox. Do I need to use another browser or is there a fix for this?

I currently have skype click to call installed with firefox and windows 8.1 up to date. I would advise you to re-install skype and its click to call addon and see where it gets you
