Why doesn't my iWeb page work with google chrome?

Don't test your website with Google Chrome if you publish it into a local folder.
Publish to a server. You need an URL with http:// and ( not file://) to view an iWeb site in Chrome.
You can also
activate the web sharing on your computer (Preferences system > Sharing > Check web sharing)
publish to Sites folder (MacIntosh HD > Users > Home folder >Sites)
and use the URL (with http) given by the web sharing tab in preferences system http://computer_name.home/~user_name/site_name/

Why doesn't the virtual keyboard work with firefox on my dell venue 8 pro windows 8.1 tablet?

When I try to enter text in any text-entry box, i.e, in the url , search, or on a website, the virtual keyboard doesn't activate. I have to manually activate and deactivate it. It works for Google Chrome, but sadly not for firefox, my preferred browser. The tablet is up-to-date with the latest drivers and updates.

Thanks for the reply. No, it's the virtual keyboard that is integrated into window 8.1. I haven't installed any 3rd party keyboards

Access Connections "Override home page" does not work with Google Chrome

I have different homepages set up for home and work locations within Access Connections. These work fine with Windows Internet Explorer 9 and with Mozilla Firefox 16. However, with Google Chrome 23 (my preferred browser), Access Connections does not override the home page. Since that section in Access Connections is entitled "Customize Internet Explorer, Firefox Browser or Google Chrome", it ought to work...
I am using a T520 with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

If Chrome does't display your webpages, then contact Google about it.

Why does my website only not work in Google Chrome?

I've made a pretty simple webpage just to test out the drag and drop function. This website works completely when I open it in Firefox, Internet Explorer, using an iPad and another tablet.
However when I open it in chrome, it only displays the preloader endlessly.
I thought it might be my publishing settings but I feel like I've tried out most combinations of different boxes ticked...
Help would be gretaly appreciated!

Meaning, viewing as is - simply opening the .html file in Chrome, (locally) on my machine. Your dropbox does not include the Edge Project files for me to open and preview.

Why doesn't CreatePDF Desktop Printer work with Win 8.1?

I purchased this software because I need to convert Microsoft Office documents into PDF for my job. I did not see any prompt informing me that the program was incompatible with my Windows 8.1 OS until after the download was complete and installation began. When I attempt to print to PDF using the Adobe program, it appears to be the process then nothing else happens. No file created to save, no prompts, no error message, nothing! I need to get a refund or have the finds I used to purchase this program applied to the purchase of a PDF Creator program that works with 8.1.

Looks like the Create PDF forum has been moved to Document Cloud PDF services. You might find that a more useful place to ask questions about that product.

My Iweb website does not work with Google Chrome

I have a website that works fine with Internet Explorer, Safari and Firefox but shows as a blank page in Google Chrome, as this is my business website I need to get this issue fixed. The website is hosted through CableOne. Any suggestions?

Can't Upload Large Files (Upload Fails using Internet Explorer but works with Google Chrome)

I've been experience an issue uploading large (75MB & greater) PDF files to a SharePoint 2010 document library. Using normal upload procedures using Internet Explorer 7 (our company standard for the time being) the upload fails. No error message is thrown,
the upload screen goes away and the page refreshes and the document isn't there. I tried upload multiple and it says throws a failed error after a while.
Using google chrome I made an attempt just to see what it did and the file using the "Add a document" uploaded in seconds. Can't figure out why one browser worked and the other doesn't. We are getting sporadic inquiries with the same issue.
We have previously setup large file support in the appropriate areas and large files are uploaded to the sites successfully. Any thoughts?

File size upload has to be configured on the server farm level. Your administrator most likely set
up the limit to size of files that can be uploaded. This size can be increased and you would then be able to upload your documents.

Flex 2-15 Touchpad not working with google chrome

Why Doesn't My BarCode Scanner Work With Mountain Lion?

I'm running Mac OS X 10.8.4 and I have two brand new CipherLab 1500 barcode scanners. When I plug the scanners into a PC, they work fine. When I plug them into either of my iMacs the scanner light comes on when I pull the trigger, but when I point the scanner at a barcode, the light goes out, there is no "beep" to indicate a successful scan, and not data is displyed (I'm testing it with TextEdit). The light will not come back on when I pull the trigger again. I've spoken with CipherLab and they say there's nothing wrong woth the scanners (and I tend to believe them) and that the reason the light doesn't come on when I pull the trigger after attempting to scan a barcode is because the scanner's waiting for a reply from the computer and won't re-scan until it receives one. CipherLab also says they've tested their scanners on OS X (the tech I spoke with didn't know what version they've tested them up to) and they "work fine."
Any thoughts?

Why doesn't my linksys router work with my airport express? I can't print!

I can't print to my hp photosmart 1315 with my airport connected to my linksys router. I can only print directly with USB. I had the airport express tested at the apple store and it worked fine with my printer, but now at home, on hte linksys wireless network, the green light is on but the printer doesn't print. I called the help line but they were no help...don't support linksys...

In this configuration, you just need to set up the AX as a bridge to allow you Linksys router to continue to provide the NAT & DHCP services for the entire network.
To set up the AirPort Express Base Station (AX) as a bridge, either connect to the AX's wireless network or temporarily connect your computer directly (using an Ethernet cable) to the Ethernet port of the AX, and then, using the AirPort Admin Utility (located in the \Applications\Utilities folder), make these settings:
Network tab
- Distribute IP addresses (unchecked)
- Apply the new setting.

You don't give us anything like enough data to go on. What is your operating system? Do you have a functioning iCloud account - i.e. are you signed in in System Preferences>iCloud?
Were you originally a MobileMe subscriber? If so, did you migrate to iCloud?
Was your email still working recently? Do you get any error messages? What happens when you try to use it?
Have you been using an @icloud.com address or an @me.com address?

Why doesn't "safe mode" startup work with my iMac G5

I wanted to start up in "safe mode" but could get no further than the revolving gears under the Apple logo. My procedure: I pushed the power button, and as soon as I heard the startup chime I depressed the shift key on my keyboard and held it down. Instead of getting a blue screen I got nothing but the continuously revolving gears. Releasing the shift key at that point didn't do anything. I held the power button until the computer shut down and then restarted, this time without depressing the shift key. This resulted in a successful startup. But why couldn't I start in safe mode?

How long did you wait for? Safe Mode startups can take quite a while because the process checks and repairs the directories. See http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107394
Think about how long it can take to run DiskUtility to run "repair Disk" when booted from your OS DVD, especially if there are any problems or you have a lot of files on the disk. The process is essentially the same. It could easily take ten minutes or more in some circumstances if it has to do any repair work.
If you are confident that you waited long enough, then make sure that you have all peripherals except for your keyboard and mouse disconnected. They may be interfering with the boot process when their drivers are not present.
(You can release the "Shift" key as soon as the gears appear)

Why doesn't my Airport Extreme Work with my powerline adapter

I recently moved rooms and wanted to move my airport extreme with me. My previous setup involved my ISP DSL modem (virgin media) connected directly to the airport extreme, this worked fine and had no wifi issues, so i bought a set if D-link powerline adapters, which when connected to the modem in one room & connecting via ethernet in the other room provides excellent speeds, but when I plug the ethernet cable into the airport I get an amber flashing light and tells me theres no internet connection & that theres no DNS servers. I manually input them but that doesn't seem to fix it. Someone said setting it to bridge may solve this issue but I don't have a clue how i'd do that on Mountaun Lion.
