Why doesn't OpenH264 get installed?

Hi Mozilla Community,
I recently deleted Firefox and reinstalled it for some troubleshooting, and now I am facing an issue with the Add-ons. It now says "Will be installed shortly" for about 2 days already for the add-on "OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems, Inc." (See screenshot). Why doesn't it get installed? And do I need this add-on or is it unnecessary anyway?

Hello, any luck if you toggle (double-click on it) the '''media.peerconnection.video.h264''' to '''True''' in about:config ? After that exit firefox and restart it.

Unlike Mr. Galt, I don't use TM, preferring bootable clones made with Carbon Copy Cloner. Disadvantages?
1. not bootable, so useless if the boot volume goes south, without reinstalling the OS and hoping that restores the boot volume. Alternatively, you can wipe the boot volume, reinstall the OS, and hope the TM backup is restorable. Contrast with booting into a clone and immediately knowing if it works. If so, then you're back in business.
2. TM requires always having the ext HD connected and powered up. I prefer connecting ext FWHDs and updating clones on my schedule, not Apple;'s,
3, I've never had to retrieve something I changed or deleted, so TM holds no value for me.

Two MAJOR gripes with iPhone Email - Why doesn't Apple get it? Work around?

I'm in a business that for organizational purposes requires me to have dozens if not hundreds of inbox subfolders, on the iPhone this is PAINFUL as you can't collapse those folders, they are expanded by default and there's no way to change that that I know of.; real handy when you need to scroll FOR EVER to get to your sent items to check a sent email or sometihng. WHY?
Second, for people that get hundreds of emails a day the "200 recent messages" selection isn't enough. This is a 32GB iPhone, why can't I download my entire 4GB mailbox to it? PLEASE? Or even 500MB of it...I could do this on a 6 yrear old Treo 700wx but not on the latest greatest "magical" iPhone? Come on'!
I just can't beleive we're 4 versions into this phone now and they STILL haven't made these changes.
Anyone know of a work around for these issues? Or maybe another mail client that can be used on the iPhone instead that would resolve this?

For the two of you saying "just use your laptop"...Of coures I use my laptop for emails as much as possible, however in my line of work about 20% of my time is in office, the other 80% is on the go and frequently I get calls that require me to reference an email from weeks ago...with my previous phone I was able to just dip into that folder, get the info and done; a few seconds at the most and I could do it at a stop sign or red light, or a speedy pull to the side...with the iPhone I have to pull over into a parking lot or something, get my laptop out, resume it, log back in, open outlook, dig the email out then put the laptop back and resume my travels. MAJOR time waster when I have to do this several times a day.
I don't think your reply was all that useful and was more intended as a bash; keep in mind not everyone is like you, not everyone works in your field or the way you work. In some lines of work immediate response is required so we can't just wait until we get back to a computer as one of you suggested...we need to be on the go a lot, ready for just about anything and prepared to answer questions about something that occurred weeks or months ago at the drop of a hat.
The iPhone is cool, it is a great device, but unless you want to see it stay as it is right now, features, looks, performance, etc and NEVER again change, I suggest you open yourselves up to the idea that it's not perfect and there are some changes that could be made to make it a much better device.

Why doesn't Flash Player install on my desktop?

It all began with Windows Live mail which - all of a sudden - didn't load and I was advised to download Flash Player which already was in my desktop PC.After having removed the old version I downloaded the new version of Flash Player and got McAffee as a bonus beside. McAffee loaded rapidly but Flash Player seemed to load - the green colored line was full but the program was still loading for at least half an hour which has to be wrong.
I'm running XP Home SP3 32 bits on a flat screen and use IE version 8.0 128 bits.
Hoping for help from anyone and please, explain in very understandable words.

Noticed today after updating my flash player to 10.2.152.32 that my screen started flickering when switching among videos on youtube and elsewhere. I uninstalled latest version and re-installed previous version 10.2.152.26 and problem went away. The iPad 2 has the same exact hardware as the iPhone 4S. So why doesn't it get Siri with the new update?

Well i'm just generally curious and a bit upset that ipad 2 will not be getting Siri after updating to iOS 6. I though it was because the new ipad was faster and ipad wasn't capable enough but later i found out that iPhone 4S will get the new Siri when it has the same chip A5 plus the ipad 2 's cpu is 1GHz whil the iphone 4S 's is 800MHz. I'm honestly not complaining. Apple never said at the time i bought my ipad 2 that it would get Siri, but i am curious...someone please answer.

Actually, it is not the same hardware. The A5 chips are different. The iPad 2's doesn't include a noise canceling function that the newer iPhones and the New iPad do.

Safari Spinning Out of Control - Why Doesn't This Get Better?!!

For a very extended period, Safari has been spinnin out of control memory-wise - no other OS I use does this, not does any other browser I use on OSX. This goes on and on and on and on, with no real remidiation coming from Apple. It is maddening and ruiining the usability of using the MAC and OSX. It may be due to Flash, or Flash and Apple's refusal to properly work with Adobe - Flash is out there - it is on a huge number of websites and not just for entertainment - it cannot be avoided - also transactional sites such as StubHub use it. If I have ten or fifteen web pages open, Safari, between Safari Web Content, Safari and Flash, can take three or four gigabytes or even more, and Flash is the least of them. It does not happen with Firefox. With Safari spinning out of control, the entire device slows down. This has been going on for far far far too long. It happen on my MacBook and my iMac. When is this going to get resolved? I am starting to despise using the Mac and OSX.

Why doesn't Garage Band install?

I have a MacBook Pro running OS X Yosemite and bought the newest version of Garage Band. It won't install and keeps saying it need to download an essential set of sounds and loops. It always stops and says try again later. What gives?

Why doesn't my new install of Firefox 4.0 have the "Firefox button" which is prominently advertised on the site as a huge advantage?

I installed 4.0 the other day, and the very first change advertised in the features video is a "Firefox button" (it's orange) that supposedly has all my menus within it. I still have all my menus and no Firefox Button.

The Firefox button isn't shown by default for Windows XP. If you want to use it, go to the View menu, down to toolbars and uncheck Menu Bar.

Where do updates get installed - why doesn't it give us a choice?

I keep my personal program files on a separate external drive in case of need to
reinstall. So my Reader is on this separate drive.
But it is not clear that this is where the updates go.
Most programs give you a location choice as to where to install the updates.

Googling shows that you have the 1G iPod. For apps you need at least iOS 2. The iG can go as far os 3.1.3 that you get here:
Purchasing iOS 3.1 Software Update for iPod touch (1st generation)
Just be aware that there are presently not that many apps that work with a 1G with iOS 3.1.3

Why doesn't flash player stay installed and why does the saved file disappear. I have downloaded and installed flash player several times on my Win7 Vaio laptop. I have uninstalled and deleted all versions. I am the administrator and I have also turned off my Security Software, but the same thing keeps happening over and over. The Java Script is enabled and I have tried both downloading via IE and firefox. It is rediculous that it keeps disappearing and I keep getting messages that the newest version is needed. I am downloading directly from adobe and they say it is the latest. Getting very frustrated. They ask if we have any problems when we go to the finish line, but there is no place for comments. I guess they don't really care if it works or not.

So is it actually installed, or is it not? If not, download and run the offline installers:
